We come before the throne of grace with hearts lifted in unity, seeking the Lord’s face for the deep longings expressed in this prayer. Father, we acknowledge that true rest is found only in You, as Isaiah 30:15 declares, *"For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, 'You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence.'"*
We repent for any areas where we have sought fulfillment outside of You—where intimacy with You has grown cold, where connection to the Vine has weakened, or where the busyness of life has choked the fruitfulness You desire. Lord, renew in us the first love that once burned brightly, as You warned the church in Ephesus: *"But I have this against you, that you left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works"* (Revelation 2:4-5). Let us not neglect the gardens You’ve entrusted to us, for as Song of Solomon 1:6 reminds us, we must tend to our own vineyards lest they fall into disrepair.
We ask for the Holy Spirit of revelation, as Paul prayed for the Ephesians: *"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him"* (Ephesians 1:17). Open our eyes to behold wondrous things in Your Word, for as Luke 24:45 says, You open our minds to understand the Scriptures. Stir in us a hunger for study, that we may rightly divide the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15) and be equipped for every good work.
Father, we intercede for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Bring order and realignment where chaos has crept in, for You are not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Grant us grace to embrace the daily tasks before us, wisdom to meet pressing needs, and joy in fellowship with our helpmeets, families, and fellow believers. May our devotion to Christ remain simple and pure, untainted by the distractions of this world (2 Corinthians 11:3).
We thank You for the ministry of Your holy angels, who encamp around those who fear You (Psalm 91:10-11) and minister to the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Protect us, strengthen us, and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Abide in us, Lord, that we may abide in You. May our prayers be aligned with Your will, so that whatever we ask in Jesus’ name, it will be done (John 15:7-8). Deepen our knowledge of salvation, our assurance of forgiveness, and our faith in the finished work of Christ (John 20:31, 1 John 5:13). Let our lives bear fruit that leads sinners to repentance (Psalm 51:13) and draws us into deeper fellowship with the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the body of Christ (1 John 1:3).
We declare that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12). If any among us have not yet surrendered to Him as Lord, we pray they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). For it is by grace we are saved, through faith—and this is not of ourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. May Your kingdom come, Your will be done, and may we walk in the fullness of what You have called us to. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
