We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents, especially your mother, who are entangled in the dark and deceitful practices of witchcraft, sorcery, black magic, and idol worship. The Word of God is clear: these practices are an abomination to the Lord, and they open doors to demonic oppression and spiritual bondage. "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB).
We stand in the authority of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, and we rebuke every spirit of witchcraft, sorcery, and idolatry that has taken hold in their lives. We declare that the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, is more than sufficient to break every chain, dissolve every curse, and destroy every altar of darkness that has been erected in their lives. "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13 WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over your parents, asking that their spiritual eyes and ears be opened to the truth of the gospel. Lord, remove the veil of deception that the enemy has placed over their hearts and minds, so they may see the light of Your glory and turn to You in repentance.
We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them, convicting them of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Father, draw them to Yourself with cords of love and bands of kindness. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day" (John 6:44 WEB). We ask that You send laborers into their lives—godly Christians who share their age and background, who can speak Your truth in love and with wisdom. May these messengers be filled with Your Spirit, bold in their witness, and effective in breaking down the strongholds that have kept your parents in bondage.
We also pray for the breaking of generational curses that may have been passed down through their family line. By the power of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we declare these curses null and void. "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13 WEB). We stand on the promise that in Christ, every curse is broken, and every chain is shattered. We ask that You would heal the wounds of the past and restore what the enemy has stolen. Pour out Your mercy and grace upon them, Lord, and let them experience the freedom that comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we know that salvation is Your will for all people, and we trust in Your perfect timing. We ask that You would surround your parents with Your angels, protecting them from the schemes of the enemy and guiding them into Your truth. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let them not rest until they find their rest in You. May they come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure, but as their personal Lord and Savior, the One who died for their sins and rose again to give them eternal life.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in their lives, just as it is in heaven. Amen.
