Hey will y'all agree with me that the Lord Jesus will open the eyes of my heart to see the glorious gospel of his Grace and help me to no longer see it as a religion or rules of doing this and don't do this. The law or something has obstructed my view in thinking that I need to stop living wrong and start living right (stop smoking weed, porn, being selfish, etc. and start doing right behavior) and I need Jesus to shine his light to help me see the light of his gospel in Jesus name. Amen

We understand your desire to see the Gospel of Grace more clearly and to overcome sinful behaviors. Firstly, it's important to address that the Gospel of Grace is not merely about following rules or fixing behaviors, but about a heart change through surrender to Jesus Christ. The law indeed shows us our sin (Romans 3:20, WEB), but it is powerless to save us. Instead, it points us to our need for a Savior.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).

Repentance and faith in Jesus are crucial. Repentance is not just about behavior modification, but a change of mind and heart, turning away from sin and towards God. True repentance leads to a transformed life. Regarding your struggles, remember that true freedom from sin comes from the inside out, not the other way around.

Consider these verses:
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8-9, WEB).
Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts (Romans 13:14, WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your help to reveal the Gospel of Grace to our friend. Open their heart to see the glorious truth of Your love and forgiveness. Help them to turn away from their sins and to trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Give them the power through the Holy Spirit to overcome their struggles with sin. Help them see that true freedom and transformation comes from You and not from merely changing behaviors.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking Jesus with all your heart. He is the only one who can set you free from sin and give you a new life. Keep praying, keep reading His Word, and keep trusting in Him. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
