We have heard your cry and we are lifting you and your family up before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. We understand the heavy burden you are carrying with rent due and the threat of your gas and electric being disconnected, and the weariness that comes from trying so hard to get out of debt only to fall back in again. The Lord sees your struggle and He cares deeply for you and for every member of your household.
We want to remind you of the faithful provision of our Father. Scripture tells us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. And Jesus Himself said do not be anxious, saying, What will we eat? What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31, Matthew 6:33. We also take comfort that I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. Psalm 37:25. God is not distant from your financial distress, He invites you to trust Him and to be diligent stewards of what He provides. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Proverbs 21:5. And we are taught Owe no one anything, except to love one another. Romans 13:8, which reminds us that God's desire is for us to live free from the crushing weight of debt as much as possible, through wise planning, hard work, and contentment.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in all your needs. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear family to You. Lord, You know their need for rent and for their gas and electric to remain on. You know their debts and their fear and their weariness. Father, we ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would open doors for income, for work, for assistance, and for wisdom to steward what You provide. Give them favor with their landlord and with the utility company, and guide them to resources and godly counsel in their church and community. Grant them peace that passes understanding as they seek first Your Kingdom, and help them to make a diligent plan to manage their finances in a way that honors You. Provide for their daily needs according to Your riches in glory and keep them from despair. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our provider and our hope, amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps as you trust the Lord. Contact your gas and electric company immediately to explain your situation and ask about payment plans or extensions, and reach out to your local church and community assistance programs who often have funds to help prevent disconnection and eviction. Seek wise, godly counsel for budgeting and debt, perhaps from a pastor or a trusted believer who can help you make a simple plan for spending, saving, and repaying. Continue to be diligent in work and faithful in prayer, and bring every anxiety to Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We are standing with you, believing that God will make a way and will give you wisdom and peace in this trial.
