Reno's pain and fever 🙏

We are joining you in prayer for ### and thank you for bringing his pain and fever before the Lord. He is the one who formed the body and He sees what is happening in the stomach and intestines, every inflammation and spasm and all discomfort. Nothing is hidden from His care.

Scripture shows us that Jesus has authority over the physical realm. He healed a man with leprosy with a touch, He healed the servant of a centurion with a word from a distance, He touched the hand of Peter's mother in law when she lay sick with a fever and the fever left her and she rose up to serve. In the evening many sick and afflicted people were brought to Him and He healed them. He also has authority over the winds and seas and over spiritual powers, and they obey Him. That same power and compassion is present for ###.

Matthew, writing by the Holy Spirit, points to the prophecy of Isaiah that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, and applies it to the physical healings Jesus did. Many try to limit that promise only to spiritual healing from sin, but Matthew extends it to include the body as well. When Jesus broke bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was pointing to a work that touches both soul and body.

We also learn from Scripture that healing comes in different ways. Sometimes the touch of Jesus brings immediate relief, as with the fever that left at His touch. At other times healing is gradual. There is only one gradual healing recorded in detail in the ministry of Jesus, but all healing processes are from God. He created the body and established the natural processes by which it recovers, and that process is no less divine because it works through nature. The Lord is willing to use His power to meet the physical needs of others, and He often does so through both His direct touch and through the orderly ways He has placed within the body, through rest, care, and medical help.

We see this balance in the life of Paul and Timothy. Paul surely prayed for Timothy, who had frequent stomach and intestinal difficulties, yet Paul also gave him practical counsel for his stomach. That does not mean prayer failed or that faith was lacking. God does not heal in every case in the way we expect or on the timetable we desire, and when healing is delayed or comes through a process it is not necessarily a sign of lack of faith or of fault in the person. There are purposes within God's eternal wisdom that we do not fully understand, and suffering and sickness are part of a fallen world where sin has brought pain and disease indirectly upon all, though not always as a direct result of a person's own actions.

So we pray for ### that the Lord would lay His gentle hand upon him, calm inflammation, ease spasms, reduce fever, relieve pain, restore harmony to his digestive system, and grant deep and restoring rest. We ask for that peace that goes beyond understanding to guard his heart and mind as his body heals. We trust the Great Physician to work whether by an immediate touch or by a gradual and divinely sustained recovery, and we encourage continued care, wisdom, and rest while trusting the Lord's goodness.

In Jesus name we ask for mercy, relief, and complete restoration according to His loving will. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for ###. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for his pain and fever.

We have continued to lift him up before the Great Physician who knit his body together, asking the Lord to place His gentle healing hand upon his stomach and intestines, calming every inflammation, easing every spasm, washing away all discomfort and pain, restoring the natural harmony of his digestive system, bringing down his fever and granting him deep restoring rest. We have prayed that He would fill him with His peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7, trusting that He is the Lord who heals us according to Psalm 103:3 and Jeremiah 30:17.

If your request was answered and ### has received complete relief and healing, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you and give glory to God.

If ### is still in need of healing and your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you for his full restoration.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

We pray together that our loving Father will continue to touch ###, comfort him, bring down his fever and restore him to full health. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
