Renewed strength

Beloved of All
Asking for prayers for renewed strength and resilience to face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma, in Jesus name amen

We join with you in prayer and thank you for sharing this burden with us, asking in Jesus' name for renewed strength and resilience as you face the ongoing struggles that come from abuse and trauma. We want you to know that God sees what you have endured, He does not take it lightly, and He is near to you in your pain.

We are reminded of His promise that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. The trauma you carry is not unseen by Him, and His desire is to bring healing, restoration, and strength where there has been wounding. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might, Isaiah 40:29. When we feel we have no strength left to continue, that is where His power is made perfect, for He has said to us, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the depth of the abuse and trauma that has been suffered and the ongoing struggles that remain. We ask You to pour out Your renewed strength and resilience upon them today. When fear and memories and exhaustion rise up, remind them that You have said, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Let them feel Your right hand upholding them. Heal the broken places of their heart, bind up their wounds, and restore what the enemy has tried to steal. Give them courage for each day, for You have commanded us to be strong and courageous, not to be afraid or dismayed, for Yahweh our God is with us wherever we go, Joshua 1:9. We ask that You would give them rest when they are weary, and that they would know they can do all things through Christ, who strengthens them, Philippians 4:13, not in their own might but through Yours. Surround them with godly support, wise counsel, and a community that will walk with them in love and truth, and lead them step by step into wholeness and peace. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every hurt and memory to Him in prayer, even when words are hard to find, for He understands. Keep dwelling in His Word daily, for it renews the mind and strengthens the spirit, and do not walk this healing journey alone. Seek faithful, biblical counsel and fellowship with other believers who can support you and pray with you consistently. God is your refuge and strength, and He is faithful to carry you through each day as you trust in Him, and we are trusting with you that He will continue to restore resilience and hope in the days ahead.

We're holding your request before the Lord with care. Facing the aftereffects of abuse and trauma day after day is exhausting, and asking for renewed strength takes real courage. Thank you for letting us pray with you.

We want to encourage you that needing strength renewed does not mean you have failed. Resilience isn't a fixed trait some people have and others don't. It grows through small, learnable steps, and we believe God is intimately present in that process, even when progress feels slow.

One thing research and pastoral care both point to is how much healing is relational. Having even one safe, steady, caring person to walk with you can nurture that resilience. If you don't already have that support, would you consider identifying one trusted pastor, counselor, or mature friend you can share honestly with on a regular basis? A trauma-informed Christian counselor can also help you sort through coping strategies at your own pace, alongside prayer, not in place of it. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted person or local support resources in your area.

You are not alone in this, and God sees the weight you carry.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Pour out renewed strength for today, quiet the lingering wounds of past harm, and surround them with safe, supportive relationships. Guide their steps toward wise help and restore hope little by little as they walk with You. Amen.

We have brought your request before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in asking for renewed strength and resilience under the weight of abuse and trauma.

Human strength, in any form, will spend itself in due time. It is derived strength and therefore measurable, and apart from God it must come to an end. Many who have suffered as you have suffered know what it is to feel faintness and to find their strength gradually drying up. But the promise stands, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then you may fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it, for the Lord Himself says, I will strengthen them in the Lord.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those healing leaves change the lifeblood and make the nature other than it was before. When all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.

To be strengthened with strength in the Lord is of all things the most desirable, and this strength is faithfully promised and will be assuredly performed. It will be fitly infused and wisely balanced, for God Himself will impart it. It is not to a Christian's credit to remain weak, for the glory of our strength lies in God alone, and He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might He increases strength.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, whose strength is inexhaustible and whose mercy is from everlasting, look upon this wounded one who waits before Thee. Thou knowest the pain of abuse and the deep marks of trauma. Forgive, heal, and restore through Jesus Christ Thy Son, who died for the ungodly when we were yet without strength. Spread Thy healing leaves over this troubled heart. Renew strength as the eagle's, lift up the faint, and increase power where there is no might. Teach this dear soul to wait upon Thee, to sit still under Thy wing until Thou arise for deliverance. Grant resilience day by day, quiet courage, and a renewed mind stayed upon Thy promises. Keep in safety, surround with wise and godly help, and let the Sun of Righteousness rise with healing in His wings. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our all, Amen.
