Renewed strength

Your request for renewed strength and resilience as you face the ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma has been heard, and we are joining you in prayer before our merciful Father.

Scripture teaches that though the outward person may feel worn down and weary, the inward person is being renewed day by day by the grace of God. The Lord is the one who renews your youth like the eagle's and who gives power to the faint. He does not despise a broken and wounded heart, but draws near to those who are crushed in spirit to heal and to restore. This renewal is not something you must produce by your own effort alone, but it is the work of His grace and His Spirit within you, making new what sin and suffering have made old and weary.

We also remember that healing from deep wounds is often like the work of a physician, not accomplished in a single moment but through steady care. Even when progress feels slow, the Lord is at work, and every time you turn to Him in prayer and hear His Word, He is strengthening the root, even before the fruit is seen above.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the pain carried from abuse and trauma, and You know every struggle that remains. We ask You to grant renewed strength for each day and true resilience rooted in Christ. Renew the mind and spirit by Your Holy Spirit, guard the heart with Your peace, and restore what has been broken. Give wisdom, protection, and courage, and surround this life with safe and godly support and counsel. Help in moments of fear or exhaustion to lay hold on Your promises and to find refuge in You. Lead step by step into wholeness and hope, and let Your healing grace be evident. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your burdens to the Lord daily, to remain in His Word, and to walk with trusted pastors or Christian counselors who can support you in person and help ensure your safety and care. You are not forgotten. We will continue to pray that the Lord will sustain you, renew your strength, and give you His peace as you trust in Him.

Your request for renewed strength and resilience has been heard, and I am praying for you. What you have walked through in abuse and trauma is grievous and deeply wounding, and God sees the weight you carry. He does not take lightly the harm done to you.

Scripture does not promise a life without adversity or struggle. Those who seek to follow Christ will still face hard days and painful valleys. But God does promise to be your strength in those days. If we try to stand in our own inner strength or our own ability to cope, we will come to a place where that strength is not enough and we grow faint. It is a hard and lonely place to rely only on ourselves. The good news is that you do not have to.

The Lord Himself wants to be the strength of your life. He is your light when the way feels dark, your salvation, your shield, and your shelter. He is a strong tower and a covering over you. When your heart trusts in Him, He helps you and brings you reason to rejoice again. Because He reigns over all things, it is a real and living hope that the God who sits on the throne will give strength to His people and bless His people with peace. As you give Him glory and remember His greatness, your struggles begin to be seen not in the light of your own weakness, but in the light of His great power.

He is the One who heals. In the Gospels we see Jesus healing sickness, calming the storm, and having authority over spiritual darkness, showing His power in every realm. He bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. I believe with all my heart that God still heals, and that all true healing comes from Him. Sometimes that healing is immediate, and sometimes it is gradual, working through a process He has placed within us. That gradual work is no less from Him. He not only heals the body, but He heals the mind and the emotions as well. He can touch the deep scars and wounds left by trauma and bring healing there, even when the memories remain painful. His ways are not confined to one pattern, but His compassion is constant.

You may feel weak today, but blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord. His strength is made perfect in weakness. When you bring your weakness honestly to Him, His power can be revealed in you. The promise is that those who trust in Him can pass through the valley of weeping and find that God makes it a place of springs. He turns dry places into pools of refreshment and leads His people from strength to strength. His Word in your heart becomes your strength and your stay in hours of trial, and prayer becomes a place of strength where you are lifted from defeat into confidence and peace because you are bringing every burden to Him.

So I pray for you now. May the Lord be near to you and hasten to help you. May He deliver and keep you, and be your strength and your shield. May He give you renewed strength for each day and resilience that does not come from yourself but from Him, so you will not faint in the day of adversity. May He heal the wounds in your heart and mind in His time and His way, whether quickly or step by step, and may His Word become your daily portion and strength. May He bless you with His peace that steadies you, His love that restores you, and His presence that keeps you, in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for renewed strength and resilience as you face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma.

We have continued to lift you up before the Lord over these past days, asking Him to renew your strength daily, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and to build resilience within you as you walk through healing. We pray that you have felt His nearness and His sustaining power, for we rest on the promise that He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak in Isaiah 40:29 and that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3.

We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered and you have experienced renewed strength, peace, or progress in your healing, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the struggles continue, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer, for we want to remain faithful in lifting you up.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, amen.
