We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is seeking renewed strength and resilience in the face of ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every wound, and every moment of exhaustion. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear, despair, and hopelessness that seeks to take root in their life. We command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus! For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would strengthen them with might through Your Spirit in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16). Remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them for protection and comfort (Psalm 34:7). Bring godly people into their life who will speak truth, offer encouragement, and walk alongside them in this journey. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to wait on You, Lord, for those who wait on You shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
We also pray for justice, Father. You are a God who sees and knows all things, and we trust that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing (Psalm 37:6). Until then, help them to forgive those who have wronged them, not for their sake, but for their own freedom and healing. Remind them that vengeance is Yours, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). Fill their heart with Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the name above all names, through which we have access to You. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray all these things in the powerful, healing, and redeeming name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
