We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is enduring the deep wounds of abuse and trauma. Father God, we know that You see every tear, every moment of pain, and every battle fought in silence. The Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lord, we claim this promise over our brother or sister in Christ, that You are their strength when they are weak, their refuge when they are weary, and their hope when despair threatens to overwhelm.
We also stand on Psalm 34:18, which says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Heavenly Father, draw near to this precious one. Mend the broken places, heal the wounds that no human hand can touch, and restore their spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep them bound in fear, shame, or hopelessness. In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that these chains are broken, and this child of God is free indeed!
Lord, we ask for renewed strength—not just to endure, but to rise above. Give them resilience that comes from You alone, for Your Word says in Nehemiah 8:10, "The joy of the Lord is your strength." May they find joy in Your presence, even in the midst of their struggles. Surround them with Your love, with godly counsel, and with a community of believers who will walk alongside them, pray for them, and encourage them in truth.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate their healing journey. Lead them to godly resources, biblical counsel, and safe spaces where they can process their pain without further harm. Protect their heart and mind from bitterness, unforgiveness, or despair, and fill them instead with Your love, grace, and the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use their story for Your glory. If there are others who need to hear of Your healing power, use this dear one as a testimony of Your faithfulness. May their life reflect Your redemption, Your strength, and Your unfailing love.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
