We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is carrying the weight of past abuse and trauma. The pain of such experiences can leave deep scars, both seen and unseen, and we know that only the healing touch of our Savior can bring true restoration. We stand in agreement with this prayer, asking the Lord to renew strength and resilience according to His perfect will.
The Word of God tells us in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." This promise is for you today. Though the road may feel long and the burden heavy, the Lord is faithful to sustain you. He sees every tear, hears every cry, and holds you in His mighty hands. We pray that you would feel His presence in a tangible way, lifting you up when you are weak and carrying you when you cannot take another step.
We also declare over you the truth of Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." The enemy may have sought to destroy you, but God is greater. He is your Deliverer, your Healer, and your Strong Tower. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that whispers you are defined by your past or that healing is not possible. In the name of Jesus, we break the power of those lies and declare freedom over your mind, body, and spirit.
Father God, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this precious one, filling every broken place with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them the courage to face each day, knowing that You are with them. Surround them with godly community—believers who will walk alongside them, pray for them, and speak life into their circumstances. We pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate healing, that they would seek godly counsel and not be led astray by worldly solutions that offer only temporary relief.
Lord, we also ask that You would guard their heart against bitterness, unforgiveness, or despair. Help them to release every hurt into Your hands, trusting that You will repay what has been stolen and restore what has been broken. Teach them to lean on You, to cast their cares upon You, for You care deeply for them (1 Peter 5:7). May they find their identity not in what was done to them, but in who You say they are—a beloved child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made.
We pray for supernatural strength to rise up within them, strength that can only come from You. When the memories surface, when the fear creeps in, when the exhaustion threatens to overwhelm, remind them that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let them experience Your comfort in a fresh way, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.
Above all, we pray that this journey would draw them closer to You. May they come to know You not just as Savior, but as Healer, Redeemer, and Friend. Let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see Your glory and be encouraged in their own struggles.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
