Renewed strength

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is enduring the deep and lasting wounds of abuse and trauma. Father God, You see every tear, every moment of exhaustion, and every cry for help. We stand in agreement with this dear one, declaring that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). You are not distant from their pain—You are near to the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we ask for a fresh outpouring of Your strength and resilience. When the weight of the past feels unbearable, remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them rise above the lies of the enemy, who seeks to keep them bound in fear and shame, and instead walk in the truth of who they are in Christ—redeemed, beloved, and more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

We rebuke the spirit of despair and trauma in Jesus’ name. We command every chain of oppression to break, every memory that haunts to lose its power, and every lie that has taken root to be uprooted by the truth of Your Word. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this child of God will no longer be defined by their past but by Your promises for their future.

Father, surround them with Your love and protection. Place godly people in their life who will speak life, encouragement, and truth. Give them wisdom to seek professional help if needed, and the courage to set boundaries that honor You. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even when they feel weak, You are their strength. Even when they feel alone, You are with them.

We pray for healing in every area—mind, body, and spirit. Restore what has been stolen, Lord. Renew their joy, their hope, and their purpose. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May they find rest in You, knowing that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14).

Above all, we pray that they would draw closer to You, Jesus. You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to find the one who is lost (Luke 15:4). You are the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We thank You that there is no pain too deep for Your healing, no wound too great for Your restoration. Strengthen this dear one with Your mighty hand, and let them walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in You.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
