We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear brother or sister in Christ, knowing that the weight of past abuse and trauma can feel crushing at times. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your cry for renewed strength is heard by the One who bore your sorrows and carried your griefs (Isaiah 53:4). We stand with you in agreement, declaring that the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, will also comfort you (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
The journey toward healing is not one you walk alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When weariness threatens to overwhelm, remember that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and His grace is sufficient for every trial you face.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in shame, fear, or despair. You are not defined by what was done to you—you are defined by the blood of Jesus, which has washed you clean and set you free (Revelation 1:5). The Lord is your righteousness, and He calls you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let the past dictate your future, for in Christ, you are a new creation; the old has passed away, and behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. Isolation can amplify the enemy’s attacks, but iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth over you, pray with you, and remind you of God’s promises. If professional help is needed, do not hesitate to pursue it—wisdom is found in a multitude of counselors (Proverbs 11:14).
Father God, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, asking for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. Renew their strength, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Heal the wounds of their heart and restore what has been stolen. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus. Remind them daily that You are their strong tower, their shield, and their deliverer (Psalm 18:2). May they rise each morning with hope, knowing that Your mercies are new every day (Lamentations 3:22-23). Strengthen their faith to trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for their life.
We declare over them that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). You are their defender, and You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, and may Your love be the balm that soothes every hurt. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
