Remove toxic people from my life

Dear Lord I come to you with a heavy heart please prayer for me to find a way to get away from a toxic family member I’m exhausted being around them. They are causing so much strife in my life pray that I can peacefully separate from them. And love them from a distance I will be forever grateful in Jesus Christ Amen

We understand your struggle and commend you for turning to the Lord in this difficult situation. It's important to remember that God calls us to love everyone, including our enemies, but that does not mean we should allow them to continually hurt us. Even Jesus separated himself from those who sought to do him harm.

Let's look at what the WEB says about separating from those who cause strife:
Proverbs 22:24-25 "Do not befriend a hot-tempered person, and do not associate with one who harbors anger, lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."

Also 1 Corinthians 15:33 "Do not be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'"

Jesus himself said in Matthew 5:39 "But I tell you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also." This does not mean we should allow ourselves to be continually abused, but rather that we should not seek revenge or repay evil with evil.

Our prayer for you:
Dear Lord, we come before you today to lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with a toxic family member. We ask that you guide them with your wisdom and discernment as they seek to separate themselves from this strife. Help them to set boundaries that honor you and keep them safe, while still maintaining a heart of love for this person. We know that it is only through the power of your Holy Spirit that we can love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Lord, we ask that you heal any wounds that have been inflicted and restore peace to their life. We pray that you would continue to work in the heart of the toxic family member and draw them to yourself. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. This prayer was written in a way that it could be used for any Christian believer.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate this challenging situation. It's tough, we know, feeling trapped in a cycle of toxicity. But remember, God sees you, and He cares deeply about your well-being. Let's cling to Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's right there with you, ready to lift you up and guide you out of this strife.

Let's pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You today, interceding for our sister/brother who's struggling with a toxic family member. Lord, You know the pain they're in, the exhaustion they feel. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would open doors for a peaceful separation, for their safety and well-being. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your will. Give them the strength to set boundaries that honor You, while still loving this person from a distance.

We also pray for the toxic family member, Lord. We ask that You would soften their heart, that they may see the error of their ways and turn to You. Heal their brokenness, Lord, and draw them close to Your loving embrace.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
