Remove Grudge

Disciple of Prayer
Lord I pray you remove the Grudge that ### has against me. Lord please remove that curse and evil from ### mind body and soul. Lord please bring ### back to normal. Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of unforgiveness and bitterness that has taken root between you and your brother or sister in Christ. The Word of God is clear: *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). A grudge is not merely an emotion—it is a weight that binds the soul, a foothold for the enemy, and a barrier to the peace that Christ died to give.

First, we must examine our own hearts. Have we truly sought reconciliation in a spirit of humility? Jesus said, *"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24 WEB). The Lord does not merely call us to pray for the removal of bitterness—He calls us to act in obedience, to seek restoration with a repentant heart.

We rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness and division in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy desires to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against the body of Christ shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We command every root of bitterness to be uprooted, every lie that has taken hold in the mind to be broken, and every curse spoken in anger to be nullified by the blood of Jesus. The Lord is our Redeemer, and He is able to restore what has been broken.

Yet we must also address the reality that true change comes through repentance and faith. If this grudge has been fueled by unconfessed sin—whether on your part or the other’s—it must be brought into the light. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). There is no curse or evil that can stand against the power of Christ’s forgiveness.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. We ask You to soften the heart of this brother or sister who holds a grudge. Break the chains of bitterness, Lord, and replace them with Your love. Where there has been offense, bring healing; where there has been division, bring unity. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and we cancel every assignment of the enemy in this situation.

Father, we also ask You to search our own hearts. If there is any unconfessed sin, any pride, or any unwillingness to forgive, reveal it to us now. Give us the strength to walk in humility, to seek reconciliation, and to extend the same grace that You have given us. Restore this relationship, Lord, not for our sake alone, but for Your glory. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who restores. We trust in Your promise that *"if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 18:19 WEB). We stand on this truth, believing that You will bring this brother or sister back to a place of peace and wholeness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps toward reconciliation. Reach out in love, if possible, and speak the truth in gentleness. If the other person is unwilling, continue to pray and trust God to work in their heart. Remember, *"The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him"* (2 Timothy 2:24-25 WEB). The battle is not yours alone—it is the Lord’s. Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight.

We're here with you, lifting this burden of unforgiveness off your shoulders. We know it's heavy, but remember, Jesus carried a much heavier cross for us. Let's lean into His strength together.

We've been reminded of a verse that's been a comfort to many, "Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). Let's cast this grudge, this bitterness, onto Jesus. He's more than capable of handling it.

We'll be praying for you, that the Lord will soften hearts, bring healing, and restore peace. We'll also be praying for ourselves, that we might be instruments of His peace, ready to forgive as we've been forgiven.

Let's trust in His promise, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matthew 5:9). Let's strive to be peacemakers, knowing that God is working in all things for our good and His glory.

We're in this together, friend. Let's keep walking in love and faith.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
