Remove defilement

We hear your cry and we stand with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name to ask for cleansing and deliverance from every defilement and work of witchcraft.

We know that witchcraft and sorcery are an abomination to the Lord as it is written in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and we rebuke every work of darkness that has been directed against you. We take comfort that in Christ we have authority over all the power of the enemy, for the Scripture says in Luke 10:19, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you. And we claim the promise in 1 John 4:4, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

We also remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit as it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and no defilement implanted by the enemy has a right to remain there when we belong to Jesus Christ. He has delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, Colossians 1:13. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, 2 Corinthians 10:4, and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17.

We encourage you to continue to submit yourself fully to God, to resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7. If there has been any past involvement with occult practices, objects, or influences, we encourage you to renounce them completely, confess them to the Lord, and remove any such items from your home and life, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Fill that place with the Word of God, with worship, with prayer and with the presence of the Holy Spirit, putting on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, and remember that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of Your child. We thank You that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved and delivered. We ask You to wash and cleanse this body, Your temple, by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every work of witchcraft, every defilement, every implantation and every assignment of the enemy, and we command it to be broken, removed and cast out in Jesus' name. Let every chain be broken and every defilement be cleansed. Fill this body and life anew with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace, with Your light and with Your healing. We declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. We ask for Your protection round about, that You would guard heart, mind and body and let no evil return. Restore health, strength and wholeness and help Your child to walk in holiness, in the Word and in close fellowship with other believers. We trust Your will and Your power to deliver completely. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear how unsettling it feels to sense something defiling inside your body and to long to be clean and at peace again. We are standing with you in prayer for that freedom.

We want you to know you are not alone in this and you do not have to carry the fear by yourself. Jesus is our deliverer and our refuge, and we rest in his power and his care for you even when feelings are heavy and confusing.

A steady next step that often helps is to bring one or two trusted, mature believers alongside you, perhaps a pastor or church leader you trust. Meeting together for prayer and support in person can bring comfort and accountability, and give you a safe place to share what you are experiencing over time rather than wrestling with it in isolation. Staying rooted in regular prayer, reading Scripture, and fellowship also helps keep your heart anchored.

Father, we lift our friend to you now. You see this burden and the desire to be clean and whole. We ask in Jesus name that you would cover them with your peace, guard their body and mind, wash away what is not of you, and lead them into freedom and rest. Give them wisdom, steady support, and assurance of your nearness each day. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we have carried it before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show His delivering power in your body and soul.

There is hope for you, for our God is a God of deliverance, and deliverance is wholly of the Lord. The Word declares, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has both invented the way and found the ransom in the precious blood of His Son. And again it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Deliverance from the power of sin and from the power of Satan is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

Be assured that no defilement implanted by witchcraft or any work of darkness can stand against the ransom which God has provided. If you are in Christ by faith, you are not your own to be claimed by another, you are bought with a price. The Lord Jesus loosens the captive, and what He cleanses is truly cleansed. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, and unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. But when Christ makes you free, you are free indeed.

Let us pray for you now.

O gracious Father, who looks from the height of Your sanctuary upon those who are in distress, we come in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Ransom. We ask that You would be gracious unto this afflicted one and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. We plead the blood of Jesus shed upon the cross against every defilement, every work of witchcraft and darkness that has been sought to be implanted in this body. Wash thoroughly from all iniquity and cleanse from all sin. By Your divine power, break the power of darkness and translate this soul into the light of Your kingdom. Keep back his soul from the pit and his life from perishing. Let him know that tribulation does not spring out of the dust without Your leave, and that You sit as a Refiner at the door of the furnace, and that You will not suffer Your child to be tried above what he is able to bear. Grant faith to rest wholly upon the finished work of Christ, and give peace to heart and body. In the name of Jesus, our Deliverer, we ask that every unholy influence be cast out and that this body, which You have made, may be presented as a temple of the Holy Spirit, clean and kept for Your glory.

Go on to trust Him and to turn from all darkness to light. Renounce every work of darkness and have no fellowship with it, but walk in the light as He is in the light. Put on the whole armour of God, continue in prayer and in the Word, and seek the fellowship and counsel of faithful believers who can stand with you and watch over you. And when the Lord has granted you deliverance, live to declare the works of the Lord, that others who are bound may hear and hope in the same gracious Deliverer.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request for cleansing and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus for your deliverance and peace.

Scripture teaches that the defilement that most deeply harms us is not merely something placed on the body from without, but what comes from within the heart, and that true cleansing is not an outward washing but a spiritual work of God within the soul. The old purifications cleansed only the surface of the body and were quickly washed away, but the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for the remission of sins, enters into the soul itself and makes it vigorous and pure when received by faith. Bodily exercises profit little, but godliness and a clean heart created by God profit in this life and the life to come.

So we do not look to outward rituals or to fear of what others may have intended against you, but to Christ alone, whose ministration is of the Spirit and whose power is greater than any work of darkness. He is able to have compassion on us in our weakness, to forgive sin, to cleanse the conscience, and to give strength to despise fear and to rest in the hope of eternal life with Him.

We pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and cleansing upon this one who seeks You. Wash the heart and make it clean, forgive every sin, and break every work of darkness. Let the blood of the new covenant, poured out for the remission of sins, cleanse the soul inwardly and make it whole. Fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, with faith, repentance, peace, and the exercise of godliness through Your Word, prayer, and obedience. Guard mind and body, drive away fear, and draw this heart to trust fully in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and deliverance. Grant assurance that those who are in Christ are kept by Your power and need not fear, for You have overcome. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with faithful believers. If you have not already, speak with a trusted pastor who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you grow in the purity of heart that God blesses, for the pure in heart shall see God.
