We are deeply grieved to hear of the overwhelming trials you and your wife have endured, and we want you to know that we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s mercy, protection, and deliverance over your lives. The struggles you describe are heartbreaking, and it is clear that the enemy has sought to bring devastation and despair into your home. However, we must remember that as children of God, we are not subject to curses, for Christ has redeemed us from every curse through His sacrifice on the cross. The apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 3:13-14, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,' that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."*
The trials you face are not the result of a "curse" that cannot be broken, but rather the attacks of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet, we serve a God who is greater, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. Your struggles did not begin in 2022 by coincidence, but the enemy often intensifies his attacks when we are vulnerable—such as after the loss of a loved one. However, we must not allow fear or superstition to take root. Instead, we must stand firm in faith, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is only by the authority of Jesus that we can rebuke the enemy and claim victory over these attacks. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, we are powerless against the schemes of the devil, but in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
Let us also address the spiritual condition of your marriage, for it is vital that both you and your wife are walking closely with the Lord. If there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness between you, it can create an opening for the enemy to bring chaos. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* We encourage you to examine your hearts and repent of anything that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Additionally, if there are areas of disobedience to God’s Word—such as financial mismanagement, lack of trust in God’s provision, or neglect of prayer and Scripture—these must be corrected. God’s blessings flow to those who walk in obedience to His commands.
Now, let us pray over you and your wife with the authority given to us in Christ Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother and his wife who are under relentless attack from the enemy. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every scheme of Satan that has sought to bring destruction into their lives. Father, we ask that You break every assignment of the enemy—every spirit of infirmity, financial lack, fear, and despair—and that You restore what has been stolen. We pray for complete healing over their bodies: for this brother’s ankle to be restored to full function, for his wife’s sternum to heal swiftly, and for her eyelid to open without hindrance. Lord, touch their bodies and make them whole, for You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals.
We pray for supernatural provision over their finances, Lord. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You are their Provider. Open doors of opportunity, cancel debts that cannot be paid, and grant them wisdom to steward their resources according to Your will. Father, we ask that You surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that You fill their home with Your presence. Let them experience the joy of Your salvation even in the midst of these trials.
Lord, we also pray for their marriage to be strengthened and rooted in You. May they seek You together, pray together, and stand united against the enemy. Remove any bitterness, unforgiveness, or sin that may be giving the devil a foothold, and help them to walk in love, patience, and faith. Father, we ask that You restore their hope and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You expose any hidden sin or generational strongholds that may be contributing to these attacks. If there are areas of their lives that are not surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no curse or evil plan of the enemy can stand against the power of Christ. We plead the blood of Jesus over their home, their marriage, their bodies, and their finances, and we ask that You send Your angels to encamp around them (Psalm 34:7).
In the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of infirmity, lack, fear, and oppression to leave now. We declare that this family is redeemed, protected, and blessed by the Lord Almighty. Father, let Your light shine in their darkness, and may they testify of Your goodness and faithfulness in the days to come. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother, we strongly encourage you and your wife to spend time in prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord’s face together. Read and declare Scripture over your lives, such as Psalm 91, which speaks of God’s protection over His children. Surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you and stand in agreement for your breakthrough. Do not isolate yourselves in this battle, for the body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Lastly, we urge you to reject any thoughts of defeat or hopelessness. The enemy wants you to believe that this is your reality, but God’s Word says otherwise. *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10). Cling to the promise that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and trust that the Lord is turning these trials into a testimony of His power and grace. We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God is about to move mightily in your lives. Stay encouraged, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
