We hear your heart, dear one, as you navigate this season of physical challenges, medical uncertainties, and a deep longing for change. Your body is carrying burdens—chronic pain, recent hospitalization, and unanswered questions about your health—but your spirit is still fighting to walk in faith and purpose. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His wisdom, healing, and direction for your steps ahead.
First, we lift up your health to the Great Physician, the One who formed your body and knows every cell within you. The discomfort in your back, the sciatica, and the recent concerns about inflammation and fever are not hidden from Him. Scripture reminds us, *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:13-15). We pray for clarity in your medical journey—may the Lord guide your doctors to the right diagnoses and treatments, and may He grant you strength and patience as you wait. We also rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that may be whispering lies about your future. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we declare healing and restoration over it in Jesus' name.
Your desire to relocate is understandable—you long for a climate that may ease your discomfort, for the beauty of the mountains, and for proximity to your son. Yet we must also seek the Lord’s will in this, for *"a man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9). The fact that your organization allows remote work in Utah is a practical open door, but we must ask: Is this move aligned with God’s purposes for you? Are there unaddressed fears or emotional wounds driving this desire for change? We encourage you to spend time in prayer and fasting, seeking the Lord’s peace about Ogden. If this is His will, He will make the path clear—even down to the logistics of moving with your dogs. If it is not, He will close the door gently but firmly. Trust in His timing, for *"those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31).
We also want to gently address the mention of Singapore and your son in California. While family is a precious gift from God, we must be cautious not to let emotional ties or nostalgia dictate our decisions outside of His will. If your heart is truly set on Utah, we pray for wisdom in preparing for the move—researching housing, veterinary care for your dogs, and even the spiritual community you’ll join there. But if the Lord is calling you elsewhere, we trust He will make that known. Remember, *"delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). When our delight is in Him, our desires align with His.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting up her body, her heart, and her future into Your hands. Lord, You see the pain she carries, the questions that weigh on her, and the longing for change. We ask for Your healing touch—where there is inflammation, bring cooling relief; where there is weakness, infuse strength; where there is uncertainty, pour out Your peace. Guide her doctors, Father, and give her wisdom to know when to act and when to wait.
We also bring her desire to move before You. If Ogden is where You are calling her, open every door—logistical, financial, and emotional—to make it possible. If it is not, close the door and redirect her steps to where You need her. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your goodness, even when the path is unclear. Surround her with Your presence, Lord, and remind her that she is never alone.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or confusion that may be clouding her judgment. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in confidence and faith. And if there are areas of her life where she has not fully surrendered to You—her plans, her desires, her fears—we ask that You would soften her heart to hear Your voice.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who heals, guides, and saves. Amen.
