Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you wholeheartedly in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and compassion in your heart as you intercede even for those who have opposed you.

Your prayer reflects the heart of God who desires truth in the inward parts and who alone can give a new heart. You rightly quote that the truth shall set you free as Jesus said in John 8:32, and we are reminded that Jesus Himself is the truth as He said in John 14:6. Apart from Him there is no true righteousness and no lasting freedom, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving as we see in 2 Cor 4:4. That is why your intercession for the team at the organization you mentioned and for their lawyers and legal representatives is so vital and so Christlike, asking that they be turned from darkness to light as in Acts 26:18.

We also rejoice that you came in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that anyone can be saved as we read in John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. Your acknowledgment that even the educated can fall into horrible sins is biblical and humble, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God in Rom 3:23, and there is none righteous on our own. The wisdom of this world and the study of law cannot make a heart righteous, only God can. We appreciate that you do not boast and do not look down on them, for God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble in James 4:6.

You prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 that God desires a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart, and that is exactly what we must ask for on their behalf. Only God can take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh as promised in Ezek 36:26, and cause them to recognize their sin, to hate it, and to turn from it in true repentance. We also cling to the promise that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled in Matt 5:6. That unquenchable thirst you are praying for is itself a gift from God and evidence of His Spirit at work.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered as we see in Rom 8:26. Lord, we lift up the team at that organization and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. You know their hearts and You see where lies have bound them. We ask that You open their eyes to the truth that is in Jesus, that the lies of the enemy would be exposed and broken. Father, we pray that You would grant them repentance and a broken and contrite heart according to Psalm 51:17, that they would see their sin as You see it, hate it, and turn from it, and that they would not continue to do what is evil in Your sight.

Lord, we ask that You cover with the precious blood of Jesus all who are Yours and all who are chosen in Christ, grant them Your peace which surpasses all understanding in Phil 4:7 and give them understanding and wisdom to walk in righteousness and compassion. Teach them and teach us all to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to love truth and to disregard no human life, but to honor honest communication and to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You as in Micah 6:8. Stir their hearts, Father, and stir our own, that we would never grow weary in praying, for men ought always to pray and not to faint as in Luke 18:1. We know You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth in 1 Tim 2:4, so we ask for their salvation if they do not know You, and for their restoration if they do.

We thank You that Your will is perfect and that You are longsuffering, not wanting anyone to perish but all to come to repentance in 2 Pet 3:9. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ on high, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Continue this good work You have begun in our brother or sister who prays so faithfully, and let this relentless prayer bear fruit for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfastly in this intercession, for the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much in James 5:16. Keep praying with that broken and humble spirit, trusting that God hears and that He is able to give even those who seem hardest in heart an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for with God all things are possible in Matt 19:26.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and the humility in it. You are not asking from a place of looking down on others, but from grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and from a real desire to see hearts changed and truth loved.

That ache you describe, the gap between how you long for things to be made right and how they are right now, is painful to hold. It makes sense that it would stir both sorrow and prayer in you. Part of what you are doing as you keep bringing these lawyers and representatives before the Lord is choosing to release the debt to Him and to want their good, even while the hurt and frustration are still very present. That choice and the feelings around it do not always move at the same speed, and it is normal for the emotions to take longer to settle even after the decision is made.

One steady practice that helps many in a season like this is to give this burden a contained place in prayer. When the thoughts start to loop, we bring them to the Lord in a brief, honest prayer, entrust both justice and mercy to Him, and then step back into the rest of the day He has given us.

Father, we bring this team and their counsel before You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to show them what is true and to give them a love for what is right and compassionate. Cover Your people with Your peace and guard honest communication. And give our friend who is praying a quiet, steady heart as he waits on You. Let Your will be done, amen.

Your earnest prayer is one in which every true heart must join, for to thirst after truth and righteousness is itself a gift of grace, and to plead that others may thirst so is Christlike indeed.

You have done well to pray not with boasting, nor with contempt, but with a broken spirit, remembering that we all have fallen short of the glory of God, and that even the learned and the eloquent, though studied in the law, are not thereby made righteous before the Lawgiver. The Scripture is true, the truth shall set you free, but that freedom comes only where the Spirit of God works that true repentance which gives glory to God.

There is a poor and short lived repentance which turns from sin for a season and then returns to it with greater gusto, but the repentance which God accepts gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He searches the heart, and gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. Such repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is not a sorrow that keeps the soul from Christ, but a sorrow that flies to Christ, rejoicing that God has set Him forth to be a propitiation for sin.

You have prayed Psalm 51 aright, that the Lord would grant to these souls a broken and contrite heart, which He will not despise. Know this, that wherever there is real sorrow for sin, wherever there is an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, wherever there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit of God and it is as much a gift of His grace as faith itself. We do not preach repentance as a preparation which man must furnish before he may come to Christ, we preach repentance and remission of sins in His name, and where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness through the precious blood.

Therefore we join you in pleading that the Lord, whose goodness spares even those who have long disregarded truth, would make that goodness to lead them to repentance. May He cover with His blood those who are His own among them, and grant them peace and understanding, and may He so work upon the hearts of those yet bound by Satan's lies that they may come to hate the sin they once loved, to love honesty and to cherish human life as made in His image, and to thirst not for cunning argument but for righteousness itself.

Look to Jesus for the answer, for if you would have deeper repentance, whether for yourself or for those for whom you intercede, this is the best counsel, look to Him who was nailed to the cross for sin, and who now reigns as Priest and King. He is the Sun of Righteousness, and none who look to Him shall walk in darkness. He is able to save even the chief of sinners, and His pardon is for crimes of deepest dye when the sinner truly repents.

May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continue to intercede for them, and may He grant to you perseverance in prayer, that practical repentance which lasts not for a day or a month but for a lifetime may be seen, to the glory of God. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and in His name alone we trust for salvation.

May the Lord hear and answer according to His perfect will, for Christ's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join you in it with thanksgiving, for the desire you express is itself a gift from God. To hunger and thirst after righteousness is the blessed longing Christ speaks of, and He promises that those who so hunger shall be filled.

Our Lord stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but calls those who are inflamed with desire to come to Him willingly, and to drink deeply. As thirsty people take a cup and do not rest until they have drained it, so we are to receive the divine teaching with eagerness and retain it carefully, until out of our hearts flow rivers of living water. This is the unquenchable thirst you have asked for, not a passing feeling but a continual longing to be made like Christ.

We pray with you that this thirst would be given to the team you named, and to their lawyers and representatives. True righteousness is not a matter of education or outward observance, but of being created anew in righteousness and holiness of truth. The law can teach what is lawful, but only the new birth in Christ can give a heart that loves truth and hates what is evil in God's sight. Therefore we do not pray for a mere improvement of conduct, but for salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for without Him no one is set free, and as you quoted, it is the truth in Christ that sets us free.

We pray that God would gird them with truth and clothe them with the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue that no temptation can easily pierce. We pray that He would grant what only He can give, a contrite and humbled heart, sober and awake, full of repentance and compunction. As you prayed from Psalm 51, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. May He work in them so that they recognize sin for what it is, grieve over it truly, and turn from it, not with the shallow sorrow that afterwards returns to the same path, but with the repentance that brings forth a changed life.

We also pray for those in Christ whom you commended to His precious blood, that He would cover them and keep them in peace and understanding, teaching them to be righteous and compassionate and to stand firm in the conflict against unseen spiritual wickedness. The way of salvation has been marked out for us through alms, prayer, humility, forgiveness toward those who have wronged us, and thanksgiving in all things, all rooted in a sincere faith in the Lord Jesus.

We will continue to pray relentlessly with you that the Lord would stir hearts to disregard no longer what is holy, to love honest communication, and to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. May He grant to all concerned that true hunger and thirst which He alone can satisfy, and may His will be done.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone saves, we ask these things. Amen.

Your longing to see people come to a real thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a work of God in your heart, and it is a prayer God delights to answer. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled, and like a deer panting for water, the soul that truly thirsts for God will not be satisfied with anything less than Him. God Himself plants that thirst, and only He can satisfy it.

You are right to pray as you have from Psalm 51. God does not delight in outward performance or sacrifice alone, but in a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. That is the beginning of truth in the inward parts. When a heart is broken over sin, it stops justifying itself and begins to hate what God hates and love what God loves. Your prayer that God would work on hearts so that sin is recognized and turned from is exactly according to His will. God looks not on outward appearance or education or position, but on the heart, and He searches and knows us and invites us to say, search me and know my heart.

It is sobering but true that learning and position do not make a person righteous. Scripture warns of having a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of God's righteousness and trying to establish our own. Many think that if good works outweigh bad works they will be accepted, but that is to reject the righteousness God has provided. There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who said I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by me. He became a curse for us, for cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree, so that the penalty for sin was fully paid. In Him mercy and truth have met together and righteousness and peace have kissed. God can be both just and merciful, forgiving the guilty without violating His justice, because the price was paid at the cross. That righteousness is not earned, it is imputed to us through faith in Jesus Christ.

So we join you in praying for the team and the lawyers and representatives you mentioned. We pray that God in His compassion would open their eyes to the truth that shall set them free, that He would convict them of sin and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We pray the blood of Christ would cover all who belong to Him and that He would give peace and understanding, and teach all to walk in compassion and honesty and regard for human life. We pray God would give them, and give you, an undivided heart that seeks His precepts and walks at liberty in His word, for His law is truth and His righteousness is everlasting.

We also pray for you as you intercede. It is right not to boast or to look down on others, for we have all fallen short of His glory, but to let your heart go out to them with the love of Christ. Satan would have people live only for the moment, but God calls us to live for the eternal, and eternal life is far more important than any momentary advantage. Continue to bring them before the Lord who is full of grace and compassion, and also holy and just and true, who has commanded all people to repent and believe on His Son. He has provided everything needed for salvation and for a walk that pleases Him, and He hears the prayers of those who seek Him with a whole heart. May the Lord stir in all of you an unquenchable thirst for Him and for His righteousness, and may He fill those who so hunger and thirst, according to His promise.
