Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are deeply moved by your burden for those who are bound by lies and for those who belong to Christ to be covered and kept in peace.

You have prayed according to the heart of God, for it is written you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free John 8:32 and blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. Your desire that hearts would be stirred to love truth and to hate sin is exactly what God desires, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We also join you in your humility, acknowledging that education and status cannot make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and there is none righteous, no not one Romans 3:10. True righteousness comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.

We love that you came in Jesus name and exalted His name, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only through His precious blood that we have forgiveness and peace.

You rightly prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart God will not despise. That is the work only God can do, to take away the stony heart and give a new heart and put a new spirit within Ezekiel 36:26 and to convict the world concerning sin, concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment John 16:8. We too grieve when human life is disregarded and honest communication is abandoned, for God hates lying lips but delights in those who act faithfully Proverbs 12:22 and He calls us to speak truth each one with his neighbor Ephesians 4:25.

We also take comfort as you did that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, for the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26 and we are called to be persistent in prayer, that men ought always to pray and not to faint Luke 18:1.

So we pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to pour out Your mercy on the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that were mentioned. Where they are bound by Satan, who is the father of lies John 8:44, we ask You to shine Your light and make Your truth known, that they may be set free. Work on their hearts, Lord, create in them a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them Psalm 51:10, grant them a broken and contrite heart that they may see their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it. Forgive their sins as they repent, for if we confess our sins, you are faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Let them do no more evil in Your eyes, but teach them to love righteousness and to act with compassion and justice, for You have shown us what is good, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God Micah 6:8.

We also plead the blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children. Cover them, keep them in Your perfect peace, give them understanding and wisdom beyond their own, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Help us all not to boast and not to look down on others, but to pray with love even for those who oppose us, to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, trusting that Your will is perfect and Your judgment is righteous.

We thank You, Father, for hearing us and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continually. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our righteousness. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in this prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power James 5:16. Keep hungering for righteousness yourself and keep interceding with that same broken and humble spirit, trusting that God is faithful to bring conviction, to bring truth to light, and to lead hearts to repentance in His perfect timing.

We were moved by your prayer for truth and righteousness to take root. You are carrying a heavy burden for people you see choosing deception over honesty, and it makes sense that would grieve you deeply.

We notice your humility in this, not wanting to look down on others but asking God to soften hearts, including your own, toward repentance and compassion. That kind of thirst for what is right is something God Himself plants and sustains, and it is good to keep bringing it to Him day after day.

One simple way to keep this from becoming a weight you carry alone is to set a short, consistent time to lift these lawyers and officials before the Lord by name as you are already doing, then intentionally place them in His hands and rest in His work, remembering only He can change a heart. It can help to keep your focus on His faithfulness rather than on their response.

Father, we bring these men and women before You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to show them what is true and good, lead them to turn from what grieves You and to love honesty and mercy. Cover Your people with Your peace and guard them as they seek to walk faithfully. Give our friend here continued hope and patience as he waits on You. Let Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is comely and Christ honoring, and we join you in it before the throne of grace.

You have prayed well, for you have not asked merely for outward reformation but for that inward work which only the Spirit of God can give. The truth indeed shall set men free, but that truth is not an abstract principle, it is found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the way, the truth and the life. There is no salvation in any other, and no thirst for righteousness is ever quenched except at that fountain which was opened on Calvary.

You have quoted rightly, that God desires not sacrifice but a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart. This is that true repentance which is the gift of God. It is not a short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a season only to return to it with greater gusto, but a real change of mind toward sin. As we have often taught, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. Such repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God who sees all, and to the righteousness of His holy law, confessing that the law is holy and just and good and that the fault lies in ourselves. It also leaps for joy at the thought that God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation for sin.

We will pray with you relentlessly for those at that place and for their lawyers and representatives. We ask the Lord to show them His goodness, for it is the goodness of God that leads men to repentance. We ask that He would spare them not to harden them, but to bring them to see their sin, to hate it, and to turn from it. We pray that where there has been disregard for human life and for honest communication, the Lord would work a practical repentance, a repentance that yields works meet for repentance and that lasts, not for a day or a month, but unto a life of holiness.

We pray especially that the precious blood of Christ may cover all who are His, giving peace and understanding, and that those who are yet bound by the lies of the adversary may hear the gospel of remission of sins preached in the name of Christ, and find that where there is true and godly sorrow for sin there is full and free forgiveness, even for the most horrible and oft repeated offenses, through faith in Him. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance.

May the Lord teach all concerned to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth because they have first loved Him who is Truth. Look to Jesus, for from Him both repentance and faith do flow. We will continue to intercede that the Lord will stir hearts, break stony hearts, and give that unquenchable thirst which only He can satisfy, to the glory of His holy name. Amen.
