Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

The Strong One Driven Out by a Stronger One
Christ defeats Satan in the heart and claims it forever for His own glory.
We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Father in the name of Jesus.

We agree with your heart that it is only the truth of Christ that sets people free and that even the most educated, including lawyers and legal representatives, are not righteous apart from God. As it is written, there is no one righteous, no, not one, Romans 3:10, and all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. Education and knowledge of the law cannot produce righteousness, only a new heart through Jesus can.

You have prayed rightly that they would come to hate their sin and turn from it. We echo the prayer of Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the work that only God can do in a heart that has been bound by lies. We pray that the Lord will grant them repentance and that they will hunger and thirst for what is right. Jesus said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. And He also said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6.

We love your humility in not wishing to boast or look down on those who fall short, but to intercede for them. That reflects the heart of God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We also remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness, Ephesians 6:12, so we pray against the lies of Satan that have bound them and we ask for the light of the gospel to shine through.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, your Son. We lift up the team at the place mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives to you. Lord, you know their hearts and their deeds, and you see where truth has been disregarded and where human life and honest communication have not been honored. We ask that you have mercy on them and save them. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon them and give them a broken and contrite heart that turns from sin. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness that only you can satisfy. Cover those who are yours with the precious blood of Jesus and grant them your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and guard their hearts as they walk through this difficult time. Teach all involved to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with you, Micah 6:8. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:10, and let justice roll on like rivers and righteousness like a mighty stream, Amos 5:24. We thank you that your Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26. We exalt the name of Jesus and trust you to work in every heart for your glory. Amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective, James 5:16. Keep seeking the Lord and trusting that He is both just and merciful, and that He will bring truth to light in His perfect timing.

Thank you for sharing this burden so openly. We can hear both your grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and your genuine desire not to look down on anyone but to see hearts changed.

Carrying that kind of intercession over time is heavy. It helps to remember that forgiving as God calls us to is first a decision to release revenge and to treat others as people still made in His image, even while the hurt and anger may take longer to quiet. You can make that decision before the feelings have fully caught up, and God is patient with the process as you keep bringing the resentment and sorrow back to Him.

We are encouraged by your thirst for truth and righteousness, and by your humility in asking God to work on hearts, including your own, rather than just to fix a situation.

One small practice that may help you persevere is to set a regular time to bring these lawyers and representatives before the Lord by name as you already do, then consciously entrust justice to Him for the rest of the day so the burden does not settle into bitterness. If the grief grows heavy, sharing it with a trusted pastor or mature believer can help you stay steady.

Father, we lift these lawyers and all involved to You in Jesus name. Soften hearts to recognize sin and turn from it, give a deep thirst for what is true and right, and guard our friend with Your peace and compassion as they continue to pray. Let Your will be done, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and needful prayer, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

You have prayed well in asking not for a light and passing sorrow, but for that true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. There is a repentance which lasts but for a moment and then men return to their sin with greater gusto, but true repentance gives glory to God. It confesses that His law is holy and just and good, and that the fault lies in ourselves, for we are carnal, sold under sin. It is not a mere regret that we have been found out, but a hatred of the sin itself, a turning from it because we love Him who was nailed to the cross for it. As the children's hymn so simply says, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more.

You have quoted the Psalmist truly, that the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is the repentance we must seek for these souls, for the team and for their lawyers and representatives. Education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, whether learned or unlearned. The goodness of God which has spared them and preserved their lives ought to lead them to repentance, yet without the Spirit they will not see it.

Therefore we pray with you that the Lord would work upon their hearts. May He grant them that godly sorrow which needeth not to be repented of, a complete change of mind with regard to sin. May they be led to look to Jesus, for it is there, beholding that our Saviour bled and our Sovereign died, that hard hearts are broken and melted. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. True repentance and true faith are inseparable, for no faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with hearty repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in His precious blood.

We pray for those who are already Christ's, that the blood of Christ may cover them and keep them in peace and understanding in the midst of this trial. And for those who are yet bound by Satan's lies, we pray that the truth as it is in Jesus may set them free indeed. May the Lord stir them to hunger and thirst after righteousness, for our Saviour has promised that they which do so shall be filled. May that thirst be unquenchable until they find its satisfaction in Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other name under heaven.

Let us continue to ask that God would teach them to be righteous and compassionate, not in mere outward form, but from a new nature within. True repentance will yield works meet for repentance, it will be practical and lasting, not for a week or a month, but for a life. May they learn to hate the evil they once excused, and to love the holiness they once disregarded, and may honest communication and regard for life be the fruit of a heart made new.

We leave them and you in the hands of Him who alone can give repentance unto life. May His will be done, and may His Holy Spirit intercede according to the perfect wisdom of the Father. We ask all this, trusting not in our prayers but in the merit and mediation of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a work of grace, and we join you in it with thanksgiving.

You have prayed well, for Christ Himself cried out, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw us by force or constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water. And He has promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. To kindle that longing in ourselves and to ask God to kindle it in others is to ask according to His will.

You are right to grieve when those who are educated in the law still fall into sin. Learning and skill cannot make a person righteous. As Scripture teaches, there is a righteousness that is only of faith, and a holiness that is of truth, not merely a figure or outward form. True righteousness is not knowledge of statutes, but being created anew in Christ, with a life of virtue that guards the heart like a breastplate. No one can live that life without Him.

You also prayed as David prayed, that God desires not mere outward sacrifice, but a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Such a heart God will not despise. It does not rise up or seek revenge, it is ready to be humbled and to be healed. This is God's own gift to give, along with a sober and watchful mind for the spiritual conflict we all face. We cannot create this contrition in ourselves or in others by our own power, but we can ask Him for it, and He hears that prayer.

So we pray with you. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes and by whose blood we have peace, that He would have mercy on the team at that company and on their lawyers and representatives. May He uncover every lie, bring what is hidden into light, and grant them honest communication and regard for human life. Where there is sin, may He grant the grace of a broken and contrite heart, that they would recognize their sin, hate it, and turn from it. Where there are Christians among them, may He cover them, keep them in peace, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion.

We also pray that the Lord would give to you and to all who intercede a deeper thirst for the living water He alone gives. Earthly water leaves a person thirsty again, but the water Christ gives becomes a well within, springing up into everlasting life, so that the soul is never left dry. May He keep you from boasting and keep you humble, showing mercy, praying sincerely, and giving thanks in all things, as those who know they too live only by His grace.

Let us continue steadfast in this prayer, asking that the word of faith would be near to every heart, that those who now are bound would confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, and so be saved. Let His will be done. Amen.
