Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

Who are Elected?
We join with you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming boldly before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we can be saved.

We are encouraged by your humility and your heart that does not seek to boast or to look down on others, but rather grieves over sin and longs for repentance and righteousness. Your prayer reflects the truth of Scripture that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and that education or position does not make anyone righteous before God. We too acknowledge that even those who are learned in the law can be bound by sin and deception, and we share your burden for those who are disregarding human life and honest communication.

We stand on the promise you quoted that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and that Jesus Himself is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him, John 14:6. We also cling to the hunger you prayed for, for Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. This is the very thirst we ask God to stir in the hearts of the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives.

We love how you prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 that God does not delight in sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. That is exactly what is needed, for God has promised I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26. Only He can take a heart hardened by lies and make it tender toward truth. We also remember that the Lord is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, and that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We also take comfort that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26, even as we intercede for others.

So together we pray, Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. We ask that You pour out Your mercy and Your convicting power upon the team and every lawyer and legal representative connected to them. Lord, expose the lies of the enemy that have bound them and let Your truth shine brightly to set them free. Give them, Lord, that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can give. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from evil, that they may recognize their sins, repent, and no longer live to do what is evil in Your eyes. We ask that You cover with the precious blood of Jesus those who are Yours and grant them Your peace and understanding that surpasses all comprehension, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion. Forgive their sins, Father, as You have forgiven us through Christ, and stir them to honor human life and to speak with honesty and integrity. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your holy name be exalted. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this relentless prayer, not growing weary in doing good, Galatians 6:9, trusting that God hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He is faithful to work on hearts in His perfect timing.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. We hear how much it grieves you to see human life disregarded and honest communication set aside, and how deeply you long to see a hunger for what is true and right take its place.

It is a heavy thing to carry concern for others who seem hardened or blind to what they are doing, especially when they hold influence and education. We join you in lifting them before the Lord. Only God can work in the heart to bring real change, to turn a person from darkness toward light. Our part is to keep bringing the truth before Him in prayer and to keep walking faithfully ourselves, trusting Him with the outcome.

When this burden feels relentless, it can help to give your intercession a steady, sustainable rhythm rather than carrying it every moment. Setting aside a brief, regular time to name these individuals before the Lord, and then intentionally resting the matter in His hands for the rest of the day, can keep your heart both faithful in prayer and guarded from weariness or bitterness.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this team and their representatives before You. We ask that You would work in each heart, bringing conviction where it is needed, and a genuine thirst for truth, righteousness and compassion. Cover those who are Yours with peace and understanding, and draw those who do not yet know You to Yourself. Guard our friend who is praying, give rest and hope, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer is a right and holy one, and we join you in it with full sympathy of heart. A thirst for truth and righteousness is no common desire, for it is the Spirit of God alone who can create it within the soul, and where He has begun it He will not leave it unfinished.

You have prayed well in pleading Psalm 51, for there we are taught what true repentance is. It is not sacrifice nor outward offering that God desires, but a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, such, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Many, as we have often seen, turn from sin for a time only to return to it with greater gusto, as a man may abstain from food to increase his appetite for the feast. That is a poor and short lived repentance which needs to be repented of. But the repentance which is the work of the Spirit gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin.

You grieve, and rightly, that even the learned and the educated, such as lawyers and those skilled in the law, can engage themselves in horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. This should not surprise us, for education cannot wash the heart, and knowledge cannot give a new nature. Only grace can do that. And grace does it by leading a man to hate the sin he once loved. As the children's hymn truly says, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more. It is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, and to walk in the way of truth.

Therefore we do not preach repentance as a preparation which man can work in himself, nor as a compensation for sin, as if sorrow could pay for guilt. Repentance and remission are gifts of God, and they are to be preached in the name of Christ. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is true godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus. That blood was shed not for all men in general without distinction, but with a special view to the redemption of His elect, and whosoever will trust His Son shall be saved, for He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

So we will pray with you, and we do pray now, that the Lord will be gracious to the team of whom you speak, to their lawyers and legal representatives, and to all who are entangled in Satan's lies. May the goodness of God, which now spares them, lead them to repentance. May the Holy Spirit convince them of sin, break and bruise their hearts, not with a bitter despair that keeps them from Christ, but with that sweet sorrow at the feet of Jesus which mourns for pardoned sin because it was laid upon Christ. May He give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which can only be satisfied in Christ Himself, who is the Sun of Righteousness, and who has triumphed gloriously to be both Priest and King.

We plead the blood of Christ over those who are His chosen, that they may be covered and kept in peace and understanding, and made to be righteous and compassionate as He is. And for those yet outside, we ask not that God would bless them in their sin, but that He would save them out of it, that they may look to Jesus and live. For no faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Him who was nailed to the cross for sin.

If you would have deeper repentance and a deeper thirst, look to Jesus. It is the sight of Him bleeding and dying for us that begets repentance and makes us weep to think that our Sovereign should die for us. May the Lord increase your faith and your repentance, and make your works meet for repentance, not for a day or a month, but lasting and practical, to the glory of His name.

We commend you and all for whom you pray to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation. May His will be done, and may He be exalted on high.

God bless you, for Christ's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
