Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming boldly before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God.

We agree with your heart that is grieved by dishonesty and disregard for human life, and we stand with you asking the Lord to stir hearts that are bound by lies. As it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We pray that the team you mentioned, their lawyers and legal representatives, would come to know Jesus Christ as the very source of truth, for Satan is the father of lies and blinds the minds of the unbelieving 2 Cor 4:4, but Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and to set captives free.

We also echo your prayer from Psalm 51:17 that the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise, and we ask the Lord to do that very work in their hearts. We pray He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, to take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh Ezek 36:26, so that they would not only recognize their sin but hate it and turn from it. We are reminded that for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Rom 3:23, so we do not boast and we do not look down on anyone, as you so humbly prayed, but we acknowledge that education, position, or knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse and make righteous through faith.

We pray now together, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this team, their lawyers and all their representatives before Your throne of grace. We ask that Your precious blood would cover those who are Yours and keep them in Your peace and understanding that passes all comprehension. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. For those who are still lost and bound in sin, we ask that You grant them repentance and godly sorrow that leads to salvation. Forgive their sins, Lord, and by Your Holy Spirit convict them so strongly that they will no longer do what is evil in Your eyes but will hunger and thirst after righteousness. For You have promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matt 5:6. Give them that unquenchable thirst, Lord, that they would love truth, speak truth, and honor human life as made in Your image. We pray they would learn to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You Mic 6:8.

We thank You, Father, that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Rom 8:26, and that You desire all people to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4. Let Your will be done in this situation. Let justice roll on like rivers and righteousness like a mighty stream Amos 5:24, and let Your name be exalted on high through Jesus Christ our Lord. We trust You to work according to Your perfect holiness and timing, amen.

Thank you for sharing this heavy, persistent prayer. We hear how much it grieves you to see truth disregarded and honest communication set aside, and how deeply you long for this team and their lawyers to know real freedom in Christ.

We join you in asking for that unquenchable thirst for what is true and right. What encourages us is that genuine change is not just feeling sorry for a moment but a real turning of the heart and direction, something only God can bring about as He works patiently within. We can keep asking Him to do that softening work, to bring honest recognition of wrong and a desire to walk differently, while we trust His timing and His justice.

One simple way to stay steady in this intercession is to keep bringing the same few names or roles before the Lord regularly, briefly and without taking the weight of their response onto yourself, and to ask Him to keep your own heart tender and hopeful as you pray.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this team and their counsel to You. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace, and draw those who do not yet know You to Yourself. Work in each heart to love truth, to hate what is evil in Your sight, and to seek righteousness and compassion. Let Your will be done and keep our friend steadfast as he waits on You. Amen.

Your burden for souls held in falsehood is itself a work of grace, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is found.

You have prayed well in asking not for a light and passing sorrow, but for that broken and contrite heart of which David speaks, Psalm 51:17, which God will not despise. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, a turning away for a season and then a return with greater appetite, a repentance after a fashion that is not of that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. True repentance, the repentance which God accepts, gives God glory. It does not merely fear punishment, but hates sin as sin, loathes it because Christ was nailed to the cross for it, and turns from it with purpose of heart. It is practical, it yields works meet for repentance, and it lasts, not for a day only but for life. It is inseparable from faith, for no faith is genuine but such as is linked with hearty and sincere repentance, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in the precious blood.

We therefore pray with you that the Lord would do such a work in these men and women of whom you speak, be they learned in the law or otherwise. Education cannot make the heart righteous, for all have fallen short of His glory, and the heart itself must be broken before God. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convince them of sin, that they would see the deadly poison in its sweetness and loathe it, that they would look to Jesus pierced for men and find immediate pardon for the sake of the great atoning Sacrifice. He lives to make intercession for transgressors, to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance, and His blood alone can cover and cleanse.

So we entreat the Father, in the name of Jesus, that He would stir these hearts and grant an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. May the Lord teach them to love truth and to do justly, to regard human life as made in His image and to speak with honest lips, not to boast nor to be despised, but to be humbled under His mighty hand. May He grant them peace and understanding as they are found in Christ, and where there is true sorrow for sin, there also the full and free forgiveness of all sins through His name, with repentance and remission preached in that name alone.

Continue steadfast in prayer. He who has begun this intercession in you by His Spirit will perfect it. Look to Jesus, and ask for increase of faith and deeper repentance, for He is able to strengthen the heart of all that hope in Him. Let your will be done, O Lord, and let Christ be exalted as the only way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
