Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such humility and persistence.

We are moved by your heart not to boast or to look down on others, but to intercede even for those who may be opposing you, including the team at the organization you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. This is the very heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and to pray for those who mistreat us as it is written in Matthew 5:44. We also hear your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication, and we agree that education and position do not guarantee righteousness, for the heart is deceitful above all things as in Jeremiah 17:9 and God often chooses what the world considers foolish to shame the wise as in 1 Corinthians 1:27.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We also cling to the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That holy hunger is not natural to the fallen heart, it must be given by God, and so we ask Him to create it within them.

We love that you quoted Psalm 51:16-17 For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is exactly what we pray for, not mere outward compliance with the law, but a deep inward work. We pray with you for the promise of Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne and be saved. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26 even when we do not know how to pray as we ought. Lord, we lift up every person in that organization and every lawyer and legal representative connected to them. We ask that You break the power of Satan’s lies that have bound them and bring them into the light of Your truth. Let Your precious blood cover those who are Yours and guard them with Your peace and understanding that passes all comprehension. For those who do not yet know You, we pray for Your mercy and salvation, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as in 1 Timothy 2:4.

Father, give them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from it. Forgive their sins as they repent and let them do no more evil in Your sight. Stir their hearts to love truth and to act with righteousness and compassion, to honor human life and to speak honestly. We know that the king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses, You turn it wherever You desire as in Proverbs 21:1, so we ask You to turn their hearts toward You. Teach them Your ways and let an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness spring up within them.

We pray for ourselves also, that we would remain relentless in prayer as in Luke 18:1 and pray without ceasing as in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, not growing weary in doing good. Keep us humble, compassionate, and faithful to seek Your will above our own. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden to prayer so honestly. We hear both your grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and your humble desire not to look down on anyone but to see hearts changed.

It is heavy to watch people who are trained and entrusted to uphold truth act in ways that seem to harm others. Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for righteousness in them is a good and loving way to respond, and your willingness to ask God to work on their hearts rather than holding onto bitterness yourself matters.

We join you in that. We are praying with you that God would bring conviction where it is needed, and also bring peace and clarity to those who are trying to walk faithfully in a difficult situation. Wanting justice and truth while also releasing the weight of the wrong to God is not easy to hold together. One thing that has helped others is to keep a clear, simple rhythm in prayer, naming the people and the situation before the Lord at a set time, and then intentionally leaving the outcome in His hands for the rest of the day, so the burden does not have to be carried every hour.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You. Work in each heart to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, teach us all to be compassionate, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is right and good before the Lord, for you ask for that which He delights to give, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that hunger itself is wrought in the heart by the Spirit of God.

You have prayed wisely according to Psalm 51, that God delights not in sacrifice but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. This is true repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit and which God accepts. Such repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God, confessing that He sees all, and gives glory to the righteousness of God in His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin.

Remember also that faith and repentance are inseparable. There is no necessity for any other definition than that repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. We must look to Jesus, for He has been set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood. He is the Sun of Righteousness, and to look to Him is to find both pardon and power to forsake sin because of the love of God who died for us.

Therefore we join you in praying that the Lord, who in His goodness spares men that they may turn to Him, would work upon the hearts of these men and women, lawyers and all who are concerned, to give them that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of. Where there is true repentance, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins through the precious blood of Christ, a pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. We ask not that God would wink at sin, but that He would make sin exceeding bitter to them, that they may hate it and turn from it, and find practical repentance which yields works meet for repentance and which lasts, not for a day, but for life.

You do well not to boast nor to look down upon them, for we all fall short of His glory, and the educated as well as the unlearned must be born again. Let us continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will convince of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to disregard no human life, but to do that which is good in His sight. May the Lord give them, and give us all, that sweet sorrow at the feet of Jesus, not sorrow for unpardoned sin only, but sorrow for pardoned sin, which makes us watchful and tender before Him.

We commend this cause to Him who hears prayer, trusting that as we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, He will do as seemeth Him good, and will lead many to repentance and to remission of sins in His name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
