Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus name.

We are encouraged by your humility in this prayer, that you do not wish to boast nor to look down on those who fall short, for we all fall short. As it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23, and the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10. Education and knowledge of the law cannot make a heart righteous, only Christ can. We love what you prayed from Psalm 51:16-17, for you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is the heart we ask God to give to all involved, a heart that truly hates sin and turns from it.

We stand with you in praying for the team you mentioned, their lawyers and legal representatives. We pray not with condemnation but as our Lord commanded, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. We ask that the lies of the enemy be broken, for Jesus said you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. No one comes to the Father except through Him. We pray that any who are bound by deception would be set free by knowing Christ, and that those who are chosen and belong to Christ would be covered by His precious blood, kept in peace and given understanding beyond human reasoning.

We also echo your prayer for righteousness and compassion and for honest communication and regard for human life. We pray that God would stir their hearts as you asked, for it is written blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. We ask the Father to take away the heart of stone and give a new heart and a new spirit within them Ezekiel 36:26, a heart that grieves over sin and longs for what is right in His eyes. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9, and we ask for that cleansing and forgiveness where there has been repentance, and for the conviction that leads to repentance where there has not.

We thank God that His Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26, even when we do not know how to pray as we ought, and we trust that He is interceding for them as well.

And so we pray together, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. Let Your will be done. Pour out Your Spirit of truth upon every heart involved in this matter. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that cannot be satisfied by argument or advantage but only by You. Create in them broken and contrite hearts that recognize sin, hate sin, and turn from it. Cover those who are Yours with the blood of Jesus, grant them peace and understanding and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion. Forgive sin where it is confessed and bring to light what is hidden, that honest communication and reverence for life would prevail and that no one would do what is evil in Your eyes. We exalt Your holy name, Lord Jesus, and we trust Your perfect justice and mercy. Amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and the way you are bringing it to the Father with humility instead of contempt. It is painful to watch people who are trained to uphold truth and protect life seem to disregard both, and to feel that honest communication has broken down. Your grief over that is understandable.

What stood out to us is how you are choosing to pray for their good rather than just against their wrong. That kind of prayer is often a decision of the will first, a quiet release of the right to get even and a desire for God to work in them, even while hurt and frustration are still very present. The softer feelings of peace toward those who have caused harm usually come much more slowly, and unevenly, and that is normal. You do not have to force yourself to feel settled right away to keep praying faithfully.

One thing that may help you keep this burden from wearing you down is to give it a contained place. Set a brief time each day to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord by name as you have here, then consciously entrust them to Him for the rest of the day. If you can, share this prayer burden with one trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and help you carry it, so you are not holding it alone.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You and ask You to work in their hearts, to give them a real hunger for what is true and right and a compassion that honors life. Cover those who belong to You with Your peace and understanding, and guard our friend here from bitterness while You keep stirring this thirst for righteousness. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is right and good to bring it before the Lord, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

You have prayed according to the mind of God when you ask not merely for outward reformation but for a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. As it is written, You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it, You are not pleased with burnt offering. My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the repentance that is the work of the Spirit of God and which gives glory to God, for the truly penitent says, Your Law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin.

True repentance, as we have often said, is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is not a short lived sorrow which turns away for a time and then goes back with greater gusto, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, and a looking to Jesus who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ, who loved the Church and gave Himself for it and shed His blood with a special view to the redemption of His elect.

Therefore we join you in praying that the Lord in His goodness, which leads sinners to repentance, would work upon the hearts of the team at that place and upon their lawyers and representatives. May He spare them not to harden them, but to lead them to repentance. May He open their eyes to see sin as exceeding sinful, to hate it and to turn from it, to love truth and to speak honestly, to regard human life as made in His image and to act with righteousness and compassion. May He cover with His precious blood all who are His, and grant to those who are yet bound by lies that they may be set free indeed by the truth which is in Christ Jesus, for faith and repentance are inseparable, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin.

We pray that the Lord would give them, and give to us all, not a passing sentiment but practical repentance which yields works meet for repentance and which lasts, because it looks to Jesus. If you would have repentance, look to Jesus, for He who bled and died for sinners is exalted to give repentance unto life and remission of sins.

May the Sun of Righteousness shine upon these souls with healing in His wings, and may the Holy Spirit who ever intercedes work in them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they may seek first the kingdom of God and find pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and walk in newness of life to the glory of God.

We commend this to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, and who will save all who trust Him. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this burden before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, and we thank God for the thirst for truth and righteousness that He has stirred in your heart.

Your prayer rightly asks not for outward show but for inward change. As you quoted from Psalm 51, God does not delight in sacrifice alone but in a broken and contrite heart. That is the beginning of true righteousness. Education, skill in the law, or position cannot make a person righteous. Righteousness and holiness must be in truth, worked in us when we are made new in Christ, not merely when we keep an outward form.

We agree with you in asking that the Lord would save those you have named, including the team and their lawyers and representatives, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way of salvation, and there is no true freedom apart from Him who said the truth shall set you free. We pray that God would uncover lies, bring conviction of sin, and grant a deep hatred for sin and a love for what is good and honest. May He give them eyes to see how they have disregarded what is right and a heart that desires compassion, honesty, and respect for human life.

Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not only with flesh and blood but with spiritual powers, and our protection is the armor of truth and righteousness and faith. We also remember that truth is so strong that God can make even its opponents serve its witness. We pray that even through this difficult situation, the truth would be exalted and made clear.

We also hold out hope for repentance. To be renewed is not impossible for those who turn with a contrite heart, confessing sin and turning from it. God has opened innumerable ways of mercy to those who humble themselves, through sincere prayer, repentance, humility, and seeking Him. We ask that the Holy Spirit would intercede and work in these hearts to bring that godly sorrow which leads to repentance, and that He would cover and give peace and understanding to those who are His.

We will continue to pray with you that God would give all involved an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would seek not to boast before Him but to walk humbly, and that His will would be done. May the Lord teach us all to love what He loves and to hate what is evil in His sight, and to bear fruit in righteousness that remains.

Father, in Jesus name, grant this work of grace for Your glory. Amen
