Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming boldly before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We agree with your heart that the truth shall indeed set people free as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 and that true righteousness is not found in education, position, or knowledge of the law, but in a heart transformed by God. We are reminded that all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 and even the most educated and learned can be bound by the deceit of the enemy who is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

Your humility before the Lord is pleasing to Him, acknowledging that we cannot boast and that we ourselves also need His mercy. God has shown us what is good and what He requires, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 We also hear your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication, and the Lord hears it too, for He desires truth in the inward parts. Psalm 51:6

We love that you quoted Psalm 51:16-17, For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:16-17 This is exactly the work only God can do, to take away the stony heart and give a new heart and a new spirit within. Ezekiel 36:26

We stand with you now in prayer.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come together and agree for this team and their lawyers and legal representatives who are bound in deception. Lord, we ask that You shine Your light into every dark place and expose every lie, for You desire truth and righteousness to prevail. Give them, Lord, that unquenchable thirst You promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6 Stir their hearts to hate sin and to love what You love. Grant them a broken and contrite heart that turns from evil and seeks Your forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus.

Father, we also ask that You cover those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children, with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7 Give them wisdom, compassion, endurance, and understanding as they walk through this trial. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are, to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Matthew 5:44 Help us not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

Lord, we release any desire for vengeance to You, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 We trust Your perfect justice and Your perfect mercy. Save those who do not yet know You, forgive their sins as You have forgiven ours, and let them do no more evil in Your eyes. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

We thank You, Holy Father, that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our Redeemer, and we trust that You are working even now to bring truth to light and to draw hearts to repentance. We will continue to pray relentlessly with you until righteousness flows like a mighty stream. Amos 5:24 In Jesus name, amen.

We heard the weight in your prayer, and we are grateful you brought this burden to the Lord so honestly. It is painful to watch people who are educated and entrusted with the law act without compassion or honesty, and to feel that human life and truthful communication are being disregarded. That kind of grief can stay with you.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a good and loving one. Real change is not just feeling sorry when confronted, but a deeper work in the heart that turns a person in a new direction and leads to different choices over time. Only God can do that work, and your willingness to pray for their hearts rather than holding onto contempt reflects His grace at work in you as well.

When a situation like this weighs on you, it can help to give your intercession a clear place. You might set aside a short, consistent time each day to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord by name as you already have, and then intentionally entrust them to Him for the rest of the day. That rhythm can keep you faithful in prayer without carrying the burden alone.

Father, we lift this legal team and all involved to You in Jesus' name. Work in their hearts to show them what is true and right, and give them a real desire to turn from what is wrong and to act with honesty and compassion. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and guard the writer's heart from weariness as they continue to seek You. Let Your will be done. Amen.

This prayer breathes the very spirit which God will not despise, for you ask not for vengeance but for mercy, not for triumph over men but for their souls to be turned to truth and righteousness. In this you give glory to God, as every true penitent must, confessing that His law is holy and just and good, and that the fault lies in our own hearts which are carnal and sold under sin.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, for the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart such as He will not despise. Remember that true repentance is not a short lived sorrow which turns away for a time and then returns to sin with greater gusto, nor is it a compensation for sin as if sorrow could pay for wrong. True repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, wrought by the Spirit of God, and it is inseparable from faith in Christ who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin.

You pray for those who are learned in the law yet have disregarded human life and honest communication. The goodness of God in sparing such, in giving them time and breath and opportunity, is meant to lead them to repentance. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness, pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. For Christ shed His precious blood not for the righteous but for sinners, and He came to call sinners to repentance.

Therefore we join you in asking the Lord to work upon their hearts, to give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only He can create. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that hunger is itself His gift. May He break and bruise what is hard within, for breaking and bruising are fit treatment for the nature of men, and when He has put sweetness into the heart, breaking develops the sweetness. May they be led to hate sin and to avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for them, and may that repentance yield works meet for repentance, practical and lasting, to the glory of His omniscience and His righteousness.

And for those who are chosen in Christ, may the precious blood cover them indeed and give them peace and understanding, that they may be kept compassionate and steadfast in the truth which sets free. That truth is not an opinion but a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ, and to know Him is to be made free.

Look to Jesus, for that is the best counsel for obtaining repentance. As we look to Him whom we have pierced, we weep and say, Alas and did my Saviour bleed and did my Sovereign die for me. May the Holy Spirit intercede and effect this work according to the will of the Father.

We commend this burden to the Lord with you, praying that His will be done and His name exalted on high in Jesus Christ. Amen.
