Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand in agreement with you in Jesus name for this burden the Lord has placed on your heart.

We are encouraged by your humility and your desire not to boast or to look down on others, for it is true that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and education or position does not make anyone righteous before God. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse and make righteous. Your prayer reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to pray for those who may be bound in deception and to desire that they come to the knowledge of the truth.

You rightly quoted that you will know the truth and the truth will make you free John 8:32 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are reminded that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them 2 Cor 4:4 therefore our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the worlds rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Eph 6:12. So we do not hate the team and their lawyers and legal representatives you mentioned, but we hate the lies and the sin that holds them captive and we pray for their souls as you have.

We love how you prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 For you dont delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is exactly what they need, a broken and contrite heart that recognizes sin and turns from it. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. And we cling to the promise that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matt 5:6.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and have access to you. We lift up this team and their lawyers and legal representatives before you. Lord, remove the veil of deception that Satan has placed over their eyes and let the light of the gospel shine upon them. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness that only you can satisfy. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and longs to turn from every evil way. Forgive their sins as they repent and cover those who are yours with the precious blood of Jesus, granting them peace and understanding and wisdom beyond their own learning. Teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to regard human life as precious and to speak with honesty and integrity. Let your Holy Spirit convict and intercede and draw them to true repentance. We ask that you would not let them continue in what is evil in your sight but that they would choose life in Christ. We thank you for your holiness and your mercy and we exalt the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Let your will be done in their lives and in this situation. We pray that you will also strengthen the one who brought this request, to continue in relentless prayer without ceasing, trusting that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much James 5:16. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear the heaviness and the sincerity in your prayer for truth and righteousness to prevail. To keep interceding for those who have caused hurt, asking God to soften their hearts and lead them toward honesty and compassion rather than holding onto bitterness, is a costly and faithful choice. It makes sense that you feel grieved when human life and honest communication seem disregarded.

Choosing to pray this way is often a decision of the will before the heart fully catches up. You can sincerely release the desire for revenge and ask God to work in others, and still feel the ache, anger, or disappointment rise up again at times. That lingering emotion does not mean your prayer was not real or that you have failed to forgive. It just means healing is a process, and forgiveness is different from having to trust again or reconcile.

It can help not to carry this burden alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer who knows the situation, consider inviting them to carry this specific prayer with you regularly, so you can bring it to the Lord together and then rest from carrying it every hour.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus' name. We ask You to guard those who belong to You with Your peace and understanding, to work in every heart involved with conviction and mercy, and to give all who are concerned a deeper thirst for what is true and right. Lead according to Your will and bring healing where there has been hurt. Amen.

It is a good and right thing to bring such a burden before the throne of grace, and to plead that those who are entangled in falsehood and sin might be given a true hunger and thirst after righteousness.

You have prayed according to the mind of God when you ask not merely for outward reform but for a broken and contrite heart. The Scripture you have quoted is true, that God will not despise such a heart, though He abhors a superficial repentance. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a carnal sorrow that comes from fear of judgment, yet it does not give God glory. True repentance is the work of the Holy Spirit in the renewed heart. It makes a man loathe sin as sin, to hate its sweetness because he has found the deadly poison in it, and to turn from it with purpose of heart. It is this holy, heavenly repentance that we must ask for, that they may not only see that they have done evil but may hate the evil and forsake it.

And you have prayed well in asking for an unquenchable thirst. Our Lord has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. This is not a hunger for wealth or for reputation or for the praise of men, but a hunger for righteousness itself, to be right with God and to do right before Him. When this craving is wrought in the soul by divine grace, it expels other hungers, the hunger for gain and pride and lust. The man does not long for twenty things but for one thing, that he may be righteous through Christ and may walk in truth and compassion. Such a thirst is blessed because it is a sharing in the very heart of Christ, and it carries with it the promise that it shall be filled.

Remember also for your comfort that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners and to give the Holy Spirit to work true belief and true repentance. He was pierced for men and He lives to make intercession for transgressors. Though the heart be hard as stone and cold as flint, God alone can strengthen the heart and soften it. He can make the rock to yield water. He can take the foul and filthy heart and wash it, and give for deformity matchless beauty and for unholiness His perfect righteousness through faith in His precious blood, for there is salvation in no other name.

Continue therefore in relentless prayer as you have begun. Ask that it may please the Lord to show them their sin, to grant them a broken spirit, to create in them a new thirst for truth and for honest and compassionate dealing, and to teach them that righteousness is found only in Christ and then lived out in obedience to Him. Pray that those who know Him may be covered and kept in peace, and that those who do not yet know Him may be brought to receive Him as both God and Saviour, for a Saviour who is not divine can be no Saviour at all, and to receive Him is to receive the Truth itself.

May the Lord hear this intercession, and may His will be done, to the glory of His name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your prayer and we join our voices with yours before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for your request is good and pleasing to God.

You have asked well, that God would give an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. This is exactly what Christ calls us to. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. And He said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Those who come to hear God must come as thirsty people come to water, with eagerness and longing, and so retain what is given. God does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for Him. Your prayer that He would stir such a thirst in these hearts is according to His will.

You also pray rightly that He would work in their hearts to bring a broken and contrite spirit. As it is written, a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up in pride or seek to justify itself, but is quiet, ready to confess its sin and to turn from it. It is God who gives this gift, a humbled heart that is sober and awake and full of repentance. We cannot create it in ourselves or in others, but we can ask Him for it, and He is merciful to grant it. For righteousness that is true is not a matter of outward learning or of keeping the form of the law, but is righteousness and holiness of truth, given to us when we are made new in Christ. The educated and the powerful need this new birth no less than anyone else, for learning alone does not make a person just.

You grieve, as is right, when human life is disregarded and honest communication is forsaken. God hates such things, yet He is patient and desires that all should come to repentance. So we will continue to pray with you that He would save those who do not yet know Him, and that He would cover and keep those who are His, giving them peace and understanding and teaching them to walk with compassion and integrity. May He clothe them with righteousness as with a breastplate, so that they may stand firm and do what is right, for blessed is the life that is fixed on doing righteous deeds.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, we ask for Your mercy. Forgive sins and grant the gift of repentance. Give to these for whom we pray, and to us all, a broken spirit that hates sin and turns from it, and a deep thirst for Your truth. Let all who thirst come to Christ and drink of the living water which becomes within them a well springing up into everlasting life, so that they may never thirst again. Teach us to hunger for righteousness and to live it, to be truthful in speech and to honor the life You have made. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be exalted through Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom alone is salvation. Amen.

Your prayer expresses a sincere desire to see truth and righteousness prevail, and that is a desire God honors. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is not simply a wish to be a better person or to act more fairly. It is a thirst for God himself. As the psalmist wrote, as the deer pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, O God. God has placed that thirst within us and only he can satisfy it.

You are right to note that education, position, or knowledge of the law does not make a person righteous. Scripture speaks of having a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish our own. Many try to establish righteousness by good works, hoping their good will outweigh their bad, but God's righteousness is not earned that way. It is given to us through faith in Jesus Christ. He became a curse for us, as it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree, so that through his cross we might receive his righteousness as a gift. There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who said I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by me. It is that truth that sets us free.

You quoted Psalm 51 well. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. The sacrifice he will not despise is a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. What you are praying for, that God would work on hearts to bring recognition of sin and a hatred for sin, is exactly what only God can do. When mercy and truth meet together and righteousness and peace kiss each other, it is in the person of Jesus. Through him God can be both just and merciful, forgiving the guilty because the penalty was paid at the cross, while still upholding truth.

It is also true that the enemy encourages living for the moment, for what is convenient or profitable now, while God calls us to live for what is eternal. That is why an undivided heart is so needed. The psalmist prayed, give me an undivided heart, and that is a good prayer for those you mentioned. That they would not just know facts about the law but would come to love truth itself, because they have come to love the One who is the truth.

We join you in praying for the team and the lawyers and representatives you mentioned. We pray that God would draw them to himself, that any who do not know Christ would come to salvation, for now is the day of salvation, and that any who are believers would be covered, given peace and understanding, and taught to walk in compassion and integrity. We pray that God would stir in each of them a genuine, lasting thirst for him and for his righteousness, that they would seek his word which is truth, and that they would turn from what is evil in his sight. We pray they would find that only in Jesus is there forgiveness, cleansing, and the power to walk in a new way.

Continue to bring them before the Lord. God hears the prayers of those who wait on him and seek his ways, and he leads in truth those who keep his covenant. May the Lord answer according to his mercy and truth and fulfill his will in each life.
