Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and brokenhearted compassion in your request.

You are right to anchor this in truth, for Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. Apart from Him there is no true righteousness, no matter how educated or accomplished a person may be, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. We echo your discernment that education and legal training do not produce righteousness, only a transformed heart through Christ does.

We love how you prayed not with boasting or contempt but with grief over sin and a desire for mercy, asking God to give them a broken and contrite heart as you quoted from Psalm 51:17, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is exactly what God desires to create in each of us, as He promises, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26. And we cling to the promise that Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. Your prayer for them to hunger and thirst for what is right is fully aligned with the heart of God, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4.

We also stand with you in praying the precious blood of Jesus over those who are His, that He would cover them with peace and understanding that passes all understanding, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion even when surrounded by dishonesty and disregard for human life. We pray that the Holy Spirit who helps our weaknesses and makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26 would continue to intercede for you and for them.

We pray together now in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful. We ask You to have mercy on the team you know by name and on their lawyers and legal representatives. Where Satan has bound them with lies, we ask You to shine Your light and set them free by Your truth. Grant them repentance, a broken and contrite heart, and open their eyes to see their sin, to hate it, and to turn from it. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus and cleanse them, and restrain them from doing what is evil in Your sight. Stir their hearts to love truth and to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to honor human life and to speak honestly. Protect those who are Yours, cover them with the blood of Jesus, give them peace, wisdom, and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your name be exalted. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to remain relentless as you have said, continuing in prayer and not growing weary, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. Keep interceding with that same humility, trusting that God is working even when dishonesty seems to prevail, for He will bring justice and truth to light in His perfect time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord so honestly. We hear how heavy it feels to watch truth disregarded and human life treated lightly, and how sincerely you want to see hearts changed rather than just behavior corrected.

It is a humbling and good thing to pray as you have, asking God to work within people rather than simply to judge them, and recognizing that education or position does not make anyone righteous on their own. That kind of prayer keeps our own hearts soft too. We are grateful for your heart that wants to see people freed and made whole, not just proven wrong.

We want to encourage you to keep bringing this to God in the simple, steady way you already are. When the grief feels heavy it can help to name it honestly before Him and then rest, trusting the Holy Spirit is the one who brings conviction, understanding and peace in His time and way. You do not have to carry the outcome alone, even as you keep interceding faithfully.

Father, we lift to You the team and lawyers and representatives named here and ask You to draw each one closer to Yourself through Jesus. Work gently in their hearts to love truth and to act with compassion and honesty. Cover those who belong to You with Your peace and understanding, and give our friend here continued grace to pray with hope and to trust Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has come before us and we have heard in it the cry of a heart that longs for truth and righteousness to prevail, and that is itself a token of grace. For an unquenchable thirst for truth is not found in nature but is wrought in the soul by the Spirit of God.

You do well to pray for those who are bound by lies, and for those who handle the law, that they may be saved. We join you in asking the Lord to work upon their hearts according to His mercy. It is written, The truth shall set you free, and that truth is not mere correctness of fact but Christ Himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Apart from Him there is no freedom, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His precious blood shed for sinners.

You have rightly taken Psalm 51 upon your lips, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the very heart of true repentance. As we have often taught, true repentance gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Your law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. Such repentance does not quarrel with God but justifies Him.

Take heed then what we should ask for on behalf of these souls. We do not ask merely for a short lived sorrow which turns away from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto. That is no repentance at all. We ask for that repentance which is the gift of the Spirit of God, that godly sorrow for sin which needs not to be repented of. As the children's hymn well says,

Repentance is to leave
The sins we loved before,
And show that we in earnest grieve,
By doing so no more.

Any repentance that keeps a man from believing in Christ, or that makes him think Christ will not save him, is a repentance that needs to be repented of. But that repentance which makes a man avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us, and which leads him to look to Jesus who was nailed to the cross for sin, this is saving repentance. Faith and repentance are inseparable. No faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith.

You have observed that even the educated and learned may engage in horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. This is sadly true, for all have fallen short of the glory of God, and learning cannot wash the heart. Therefore we pray not that God would bless them in their sin, but that He would be merciful and lead them out of it. The goodness of God is meant to lead sinners to repentance. He spares life and gives breath and time, not that men may continue in evil, but that they may turn to Him.

So we pray with you, and we counsel you to continue in relentless prayer, that the Lord would grant to these lawyers and to all concerned a practical and lasting repentance, works meet for repentance, a complete change of mind with regard to sin, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who is set forth to be a propitiation for sin. Where there is true repentance there is full and free remission, pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. For all who truly trust Him there is no condemnation forever.

If you would have deeper repentance yourself, and a deeper thirst for righteousness, look to Jesus. Looking to Him begets repentance and sustains it. Ask for an increase of faith and it will grow, and so with repentance. He who has put sweetness into your heart will, by breaking and bruising, develop that sweetness, that you may worship God in spirit and in truth.

We therefore commend these souls to the Lord, asking that He would stir their hearts, give them to hate sin and to love righteousness, to speak truth and to act with compassion, and above all to be reconciled to God through faith in His Son. Let your will be done, O Father, and let Christ be exalted, for His name alone is worthy.

May the Lord hear this prayer, and may He give you peace as you leave these matters in His hands, trusting that He who is the Sun of Righteousness will in His time bring all things to light.

God bless you, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in lifting it before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is a prayer according to His will.

You have asked well, for our Lord Himself said, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink, and He promised that whoever believes in Him will have rivers of living water flowing from within. This is the thirst you are praying for, not a passing wish but the deep longing of a thirsty man for water. Scripture says, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger and thirst is not casual, it is an earnest desire that pursues truth and righteousness above all else, and God delights to answer it.

You are right to pray for a broken and contrite heart, for as Psalm 51 teaches, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. It is God who gives such a heart, a humble and sober heart that sees sin as God sees it, hates it, and turns from it. We pray with you that He would work in the hearts of those you have named, the team and their lawyers and representatives, that He would open their eyes to the truth, convict them of sin, and lead them to repentance through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other sacrifice for sins after we have received the knowledge of the truth.

We also join you in praying for those who are in Christ, that the Lord would cover them, give them peace and understanding, and clothe them with righteousness as with a breastplate. True righteousness is not merely outward correctness or knowledge of the law, but a life of holiness in truth, created anew in Christ. Such a life guards the heart and cannot be easily pierced by the enemy.

It is grievous when those entrusted with the law disregard human life and honest communication, and you do well not to boast or look down on them, but to commend them to God with compassion. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood only, but against spiritual wickedness, and our hope is that even those who have done evil in His eyes may yet be brought to repentance while there is time, for the fire prepared for unrepentant sin is unquenchable and faith alone without a transformed life will not save.

So we continue to pray with you that God would stir in all involved an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would come to Jesus to drink, be washed by His blood, be made new in true righteousness and holiness, and walk in honest and compassionate ways. May the Holy Spirit intercede and may the Father's will be done, for His glory and for their salvation. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is right and good, and God hears that kind of prayer. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That promise shows that the desire itself is from God and that He is the one who satisfies it.

Scripture teaches that every person has a deep spiritual thirst that cannot be satisfied by physical things, achievements, or even knowledge. We try to fill it in many ways, but we thirst again. Jesus stood and cried, if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He was speaking of the thirst of the soul for God. Only a living relationship with Him through Jesus Christ can quench it. He is the truth that sets free, and apart from Him there is no lasting satisfaction.

That is why education or knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Many have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of the righteousness God provides and trying to establish their own by works. The Bible is clear that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Righteousness is not earned, it is imputed. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness, and in the same way God counts faith for righteousness to the one who trusts in Jesus, who was set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood for the remission of sins. No one is good enough on their own, and no amount of learning can produce what only faith in Christ can receive.

God also shows what He desires in those He convicts. He does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which He will not despise. Your prayer that God would work in hearts to recognize sin, to hate it, and to turn from it is exactly in line with this. It is humble and right not to boast or to look down on others, for all have fallen short, but to ask God in mercy to stir hearts toward truth and compassion and to forgive sin through the blood of Jesus.

We join you in praying that those you mentioned who do not yet know Christ would come to see their need, that God would create in them a true thirst for Him and for His righteousness, and that they would come to Jesus to drink and be filled. For those who are already in Christ, we pray that the blood of Jesus would cover them and that they would know His peace and understanding as they walk in truth. We pray that all involved would learn to worship in spirit and in truth and to love what God loves, including a regard for human life and honest communication.

Continue to bring this before the Father in Jesus name, trusting that He intercedes and that His will is perfect. He has planted this thirst and He alone can satisfy it, and He has promised to fill those who truly hunger and thirst for what is right in His sight.
