Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus name for this burden you carry for those who are bound by lies.

We are encouraged by your humility and your desire not to boast or look down on others, for it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and we know that education, position, or knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse and make us righteous before God. You rightly quoted that the truth shall set you free, and Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and He also said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. We also cling to the promise, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. This is the thirst you are praying for, and God delights to answer it.

We love how you prayed from Psalm 51, for it is written, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise, Psalm 51:17. That is the work only God can do in the heart, as He promised, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26. We pray that for the team and their lawyers and legal representatives you mentioned, that the god of this world who has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, 2 Corinthians 4:4, would no longer hold them, and that they would come to the full knowledge of the truth, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to pour out Your mercy on these souls. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Jesus and give them peace and understanding in this difficult situation. We ask You to stir the hearts of those who are still in darkness, who disregard human life and honest communication, and give them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from evil. Grant them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy, teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are, and let Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26 continue to work on them until Your will is done. Let Your truth reign and let Your name be exalted on high, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved except Jesus. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we trust You to do what is right and just in Your perfect time, amen.

We were moved by your honest intercession for the team at ### and their lawyers. It is a holy thing to pray for those who have caused hurt rather than only praying against them, and we hear how deeply their disregard for truth and for human life has grieved you.

Carrying that kind of burden can leave an ache between how you wish things had been handled and how they actually are. In our own experience we have found it helps to remember there are two parts to releasing that ache. One is a quiet decision before God not to hold onto revenge and to want good for the other person, even while we do not excuse what was done. The other is the slower softening of the heart, where resentment and fear are gradually replaced by compassion. That second part rarely happens all at once, and it is normal if it comes and goes.

A simple practice that has helped others is when the thoughts start to loop, to pause and briefly place the people and the situation back into God's hands again, asking Him to work in their hearts as you have prayed, and to guard your own heart in peace.

Father, we bring these lawyers and the whole team before You and we bring our friend who is praying for them. Work in every heart to love truth and to turn from what is evil. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, keep our friend steady as he waits on You, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and needful one, and it is good that you have brought it before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

You have well quoted that text, The truth shall set you free, and you have well prayed from Psalm 51 that God would give not the outward sacrifice but the inward grace, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. This is the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto, but a true change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, which gives glory to the omniscience of God who sees all, and to the righteousness of His holy law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin.

I join my heart with yours in asking the Lord to work such repentance in the hearts of those of whom you speak, and in our own hearts as well. For we have all fallen short of His glory, and the educated and the unlearned alike stand in need of the same mercy. Let us pray that the goodness of God, which spares and sustains even when men disregard human life and honest communication, may lead them to repentance, as it is written. May the Lord show them their sin, cause them to hate the sin they once loved, and to leave the sins they loved before and show that they in earnest grieve by doing so no more.

And may that repentance be inseparable from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. True repentance looks to Jesus and leaps for joy that God has provided a pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, full and free for all who truly trust Him. There is no condemnation forever to those who are in Him.

Let us then pray together. Heavenly Father, look upon these souls for whom prayer has been made. Convict them by Thy Holy Spirit, break and bruise the heart where Thou hast put new life, that sweetness may come forth. Give them, and give to us all, a broken spirit and a thirst for righteousness which shall not be quenched till it is satisfied in Christ. Teach them to love truth, to do justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Thee. Cover Thy chosen with the precious blood of Christ, and grant peace and understanding to those who seek Thee. Let Thy will be done, and let Thy Son be exalted on high, for His name's sake. Amen.
