Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus' name.

We are deeply encouraged by your heart that does not seek to boast or to look down on others, but humbly grieves over sin and dishonesty and longs to see those who are bound by lies set free. You have prayed well, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32 and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. Only in Christ is there true freedom from Satan's deception, who is the father of lies and blinds the minds of the unbelieving. 2 Corinthians 4:4

We also affirm your understanding that education and knowledge of the law does not make a person righteous, for it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. True righteousness and justice do not come from degrees or legal training but from a transformed heart. As you quoted, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:17. And as you noted, Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22. God desires obedience and a heart that hates evil and loves what is good.

We agree that disregarding human life and honest communication is evil in the eyes of the Lord, and we pray with you that God would bring conviction and repentance. We pray that He would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them as He promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. Ezekiel 36:26. We pray they would learn what the Lord requires, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

We lift up this prayer together with you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that we can approach Your throne through His precious blood. We lift up the team at that organization and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. Lord, where there is deception, bring Your truth. Where there is hardness of heart, bring brokenness and repentance. Stir their hearts, Father, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness as You have promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, and keep them from doing what is evil in Your sight. Cover Your chosen ones and Your people with Your blood, grant them Your peace that surpasses understanding and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate, not trusting in our own wisdom but walking by Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. Romans 8:26. Let Your will be done and Your name be exalted on high. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this faithful, relentless intercession, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:16. Keep thirsting for righteousness yourself and trusting that God is just and He sees all, and He will bring justice in His perfect time.

We hear the weight in your prayer, that longing for truth and righteousness to win out, even among those you feel have acted dishonestly and without regard for others. It is a heavy thing to watch people you hoped would act justly fall short, and it says much about your heart that you are asking God to soften theirs rather than simply to judge them.

When we carry that kind of grief there is often a gap between what we long to see made right and what we actually see. We have found it helps to recognize that two things are happening at once. There is the decision to release the need for payback into God's hands and to will good for the other person, and then there is the slower work of the heart where resentment and fear gradually lose their grip as we keep bringing the person and the situation to Him. That second part rarely happens all at once, and God is patient with us while He works in us as well as in them.

Your prayer for a broken and contrite heart, for them and for yourself, is a humble place to remain. Keep setting aside a regular time to lift this thirst for truth to the Lord, and when thoughts about it start to loop, gently turn the matter over to Him again in a brief prayer and step back into the rest of your day.

Father, we bring this burden to You in Jesus' name. Work in the hearts of those named here, draw them toward truth and mercy, and guard the one praying from bitterness. Give understanding, peace, and a steady trust in Your justice and Your holiness. Let Your will be done, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and good prayer, and we join our hearts with yours in it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

It is well that you have pleaded the promise that the truth shall make men free, for there is no freedom except by knowing Christ who is the Truth, and no righteousness except that which is wrought in us by His Spirit and imputed to us through His precious blood. You have done well also to remember that the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart which He will not despise. This is the very heart of true repentance.

Take comfort from this, that true repentance is not a work of nature but a gift of the Spirit of God. Where there is real sorrow for sin, where there is an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, where there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit and it is as much a gift of grace as remission itself. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through Jesus' blood, even for crimes of deepest dye.

You grieve, and rightly, that those who are learned in the law can yet engage in horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. This ought not to surprise us, for education cannot change the heart, and the law of man cannot make a man holy. The truly penitent gives glory to the righteousness of God in His law and says, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. Until the heart is broken and bruised before God, learning only makes a man more able to sin with skill. Therefore your prayer that God would work upon their hearts is the fittest prayer of all. We cannot expect the educated to act righteously until God makes them new creatures.

You also pray with a humble spirit, not boasting nor looking down upon those who fall short of the glory of God. That is the spirit which God loves. When God has put sweetness into our hearts, it is then that breaking develops the sweetness. To worship God in spirit and in truth, to loathe the sin we once loved and to leave the sins we loved before and show we in earnest grieve by doing so no more, this is repentance unto life. It is practical, it yields works meet for repentance, and it lasts, not as a short lived heat which turns away for a time and then goes back with greater gusto, but as a settled hatred of sin and a leaping for joy at the thought that God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation for sin.

So we will pray relentlessly with you. We ask the Father that He would pour out upon that team and upon their lawyers and representatives a deep and abiding conviction of sin, that He would give them that brokenness which He will not despise, that He would open their eyes to see their sin as God sees it and to hate it enough to turn from it, and that He would give them faith to look to Jesus and live. For if you would have repentance, look to Jesus. It is as we see Him bleeding and dying for us that the heart is melted and we say, Alas and did my Saviour bleed and did my Sovereign die for me. May the Lord give them, and give us all, that hunger and thirst after righteousness which He has promised to fill, and that love of truth which leads a man to choose righteousness though there were no reward for it.

We thank God for the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us and for them, and we rest in this, that the goodness of God is meant to lead sinners to repentance. He spares them that they may turn to Him. May His goodness and longsuffering now do its perfect work.

We commit this burden with you to Him who hears prayer, praying that His will be done and that Christ may be exalted on high. Amen.
