Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and brokenness of your heart before the Lord. You are right to recognize that education, position, or knowledge of the law does not make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23, and it is only by the grace of God and the conviction of the Holy Spirit that any heart is turned toward truth. Your desire not to boast or to look down on others but to intercede for them reflects the heart of Christ who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us in Matthew 5:44.

We agree with you that the truth shall set us free as Jesus said in John 8:32, and that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled in Matthew 5:6. The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment in John 16:8, and we know that God desires not outward sacrifice but a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise as you quoted from Psalm 51:16-17, for to obey is better than sacrifice in 1 Samuel 15:22. We also remember that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving in 2 Corinthians 4:4, so our battle is not against flesh and blood but for souls that need the light of the gospel.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne. We lift up to You the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that have been mentioned, and we ask that You would have mercy upon them. Lord, we ask that You would remove any veil of lies and that the light of Your truth would shine upon them. Give them, Lord, a new heart and put a new spirit within them and take away their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh in Ezekiel 36:26. Let Your precious blood cover those who are Yours and grant them Your peace and understanding that surpasses all knowledge, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are. Stir their hearts, Father, that they would hate sin and turn from what is evil in Your eyes, that they would honor human life and speak honestly, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. We ask that Your will be done and that justice and mercy would prevail, and that even in this difficult legal matter Your name would be exalted and Your holiness made known. We thank You for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continually. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfastly in prayer without ceasing in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, as Jesus taught that men ought always to pray, and not to faint in Luke 18:1. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up in Galatians 6:9. While we pray for conviction and repentance, we also trust vengeance to You, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord in Romans 12:19, and we leave judgment in Your righteous hands while we continue to intercede with love. May the Lord strengthen you and keep your own heart tender, truthful, and at peace as you wait on Him.

We hear how heavy this has been on your heart, and how much you long to see truth and righteousness win out. It is a good and right desire to want people, especially those in positions of influence like lawyers, to act honestly and to value human life, and to bring that grief to the Lord instead of carrying it alone.

We are encouraged by your humility in this prayer, not wanting to boast or look down on others while still naming what is wrong. That humility helps keep intercession from turning into bitterness, and it keeps the focus where it belongs, on what only God can do in a heart.

We have learned that genuine turning toward God is deeper than just feeling sorry when things are difficult or when wrong is exposed. It is a change of mind and direction that over time reshapes how a person lives and treats others. That kind of change is God's work inside, which is why your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for what is true and right is so fitting. We can ask, and we trust Him to work in His way and timing.

As you continue to pray, it may help to give this burden a steady, sustainable place. You might set aside a few minutes a couple of times a week to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord by name as you are doing, then intentionally entrust them to Him again and ask Him to keep your own heart at peace and compassionate as you wait.

Father, we lift these men and women to You and ask You to work in their hearts, drawing them toward truth and toward what is good and compassionate. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, guard this friend from discouragement, and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.
