Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply moved by your burden for those who are bound by lies and in need of the transforming grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We agree with you that truth is what sets men free, as it is written in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. And Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We also rejoice that you have come to the Father in Jesus name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to God, as it is written in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We share your grief over how even the educated and learned, such as lawyers and legal representatives, can fall into horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. Scripture reminds us in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt, who can know it. Education and knowledge of the law cannot make a heart righteous, only Christ can. We commend your humility in acknowledging that we cannot boast before God nor look down on those who fall short, for we ourselves are in need of the same mercy.

We love how you have prayed from Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the heart God desires and the heart we ask Him to create in those for whom you intercede. We also pray with you from Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and from Ezekiel 36:26 that God would give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them and take away the stony heart.

We lift up together this prayer before the throne of grace.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Your will as taught in Romans 8:26. We ask that You pour out Your mercy upon the team at that place, upon their lawyers and legal representatives, and upon all who are entangled in deception. Lord, where Satan has bound them with lies, shine the light of Your truth and set them free. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children, cover them, guard them, grant them Your peace that passes all understanding and give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own.

Father, teach them all to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. Forgive their sins as only You can forgive, and by Your Spirit convict their hearts so deeply that they will recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it to live no longer in a sinful life. Grant them a broken and contrite heart that You will not despise. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them indeed an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let them hunger for Your Word and thirst for Your justice and mercy. We pray that they would not do what is evil in Your eyes but would learn to love what You love and hate what You hate, to regard human life as precious and to speak with honesty and integrity.

We pray that Your will be done in this situation and that You would be exalted on high, Jesus Christ, for You alone are worthy. We thank You that You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth as it is written in 1 Timothy 2:4. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect justice tempered with mercy. Let Your name be glorified in their repentance and restoration. In Jesus name we pray together, amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We can hear the grief you feel when truth is disregarded and people are not treated with honesty and dignity, and the longing you have for God to move in hearts that seem hardened.

What you described, a thirst for truth and righteousness that does not fade, is something only God can create in a person. It is not simply feeling sorry when consequences come, but a deep change of mind and direction that turns away from what is wrong and turns toward Him. That kind of change is His work, and it is good to bring these lawyers and the whole team before Him and ask Him to do it, while also trusting the Holy Spirit who is already interceding.

One steady way to carry this burden is to keep praying as you are, but with a simple rhythm that protects your own heart. You might set aside a brief time each day to name them before the Lord, ask for hearts that recognize wrong and desire what is right, and then place them again in His hands. It can also help to pray for your own peace and clarity as you wait.

Father, we lift this team and their representatives to You in Jesus name. Work gently in each heart, bring a true love for truth and compassion for others, and guard those who seek to walk rightly. Give our friend rest and trust in Your will. Amen.

It is a right and holy burden which you have laid before the Lord, to pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Such a prayer is according to the will of God, for our Lord has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. And again it is written, the truth shall make you free, and that Truth is none other than Christ Himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life, and there is salvation in no other.

You do well not to boast, nor to look down with pride upon these souls, for we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, and education and knowledge of the law cannot make the heart righteous. The most learned may yet be found loving darkness rather than light unless the Spirit of God renews the heart. It is not learning but grace that makes a man upright, and that grace must be sought at the foot of the cross.

You have prayed from Psalm 51, and there you have touched the very heart of the matter. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. God is not pleased with outward form or fine words, but with a heart that loathes sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, a shallow sorrow that lasts for a season and then returns to sin with greater appetite, but there is a true repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. That true repentance gives God glory, it hates the poison that is in sin, it looks to Jesus pierced for men and finds pardon in His precious blood, and it yields works meet for repentance and lasts, by the grace of God, not for a day or a month but for a life.

Therefore we join with you in earnest prayer for these souls, for the team and for their lawyers and representatives of whom you speak, that the Lord would be merciful unto them. We ask not that God would bless them in their sin, but that He would save them from it. May the Lord who lives to make intercession for transgressors grant to them the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. May He break their hearts, not to drive them to despair, but to draw them to the great atoning Sacrifice who was nailed to the cross for sinners. May they see their sin as God sees it, hate it, and forsake it, and may they receive Christ as He is offered in the gospel, very God and very man, the propitiation for sin, in whom alone there is remission.

We pray that the blood of Christ may cover all who are His, and give peace and understanding to those who trust Him, and that even those who are now bound by Satan's lies may be brought to know the Truth and to love righteousness and compassion, to regard human life and to speak honestly, as those who must give account to God. He alone can strengthen the weak heart and keep the faithful. Let us be relentless in prayer, remembering that the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us and for them, and that our hope is not in the things which are seen and temporal, but in Christ who has made reconciliation.

Look to Jesus, and teach these souls to look to Him, for there repentance and faith are inseparable, and there the thirsty soul finds living water. May the Lord answer according to His perfect will, to the praise of His holiness and grace, in Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
