Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We stand together in agreement with this heartfelt cry for truth and righteousness, lifting up the team at ### and their legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we come boldly before Him, knowing that salvation and transformation are found in no other name. As it is written, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

We recognize the urgency of this prayer, for the enemy seeks to bind minds with deception and harden hearts against the truth. The Word declares, "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4). Yet we know that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17), and we plead the blood of Jesus over these individuals, that their eyes may be opened to see the truth that sets free.

Father, we ask You to break the chains of deception that have ensnared them. Let Your Holy Spirit convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), so that they may turn from their ways and seek Your face. We pray for a deep, unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness, as Your Son Jesus taught, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). May their hearts be softened, their spirits broken, and their minds renewed by Your Word, which is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

We rebuke the spirit of pride and self-righteousness that may have taken root in their hearts, especially among those who are educated in the law. For it is written, "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up" (1 Corinthians 8:1). Let them not trust in their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways, that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they come to understand that true wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10) and that righteousness is not found in human intellect but in a surrendered heart before You.

Father, we lift up those among them who are already believers, that they may stand firm in their faith and not be swayed by the pressures of this world. Strengthen them to be salt and light in their spheres of influence (Matthew 5:13-14), and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they walk in integrity, compassion, and humility, reflecting the character of Your Son.

We also pray for those who do not yet know You, that their hearts would be stirred to seek You. Open doors for the gospel to be shared with them, and raise up bold witnesses who will speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Let them see the emptiness of a life lived apart from You and the fullness of joy found in Your presence (Psalm 16:11).

Lord, we confess that we, too, are in need of Your grace and mercy. We are all sinners saved by Your unmerited favor, and we humbly ask that You would keep us from the pride of thinking we are better than others. Help us to love as You love, to forgive as You forgive, and to extend the same grace that has been lavished upon us. Let us not grow weary in praying for the lost, for we know that "he who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him" (Psalm 126:6).

We thank You, Father, for Your holiness and for the work of Your Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt Your name, Jesus, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, and may they come to know the freedom, peace, and joy that are found only in You.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon the team at ### and their legal representatives. Let them experience the transforming power of Your love, and may they turn from their sins and embrace the truth of Your Word. Give them a hunger for righteousness that cannot be satisfied by anything this world offers. May they come to hate sin as You hate it and love what You love. Let their lives be a testimony to Your grace, and may they become vessels of honor, useful to You for every good work (2 Timothy 2:21).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom be all glory, honor, and praise forever and ever. Amen.

We hear how much this burden for truth and righteousness weighs on you, and how tenderly you are carrying both the people involved and the Christians affected by it. Your humility in not wanting to look down on others while still grieving what is wrong comes through clearly, and we join you in that posture before the Lord.

It is a good and right thing to ask God to stir a real thirst for what is true and right. We have found that kind of thirst is not something that appears all at once. God often works quietly and gradually on a heart, bringing a change of mind that in time shows itself in a changed direction. That can help us keep praying with hope without feeling we have to make the change happen ourselves.

One simple way to stay steady in this kind of intercession is to give it a small, regular place. Choosing a brief, consistent time to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord by name as you know them, and then entrusting them to Him for the rest of the day, can keep the prayer faithful without it becoming a heavy weight you carry alone. We are thankful you know the Holy Spirit is already interceding alongside you.

Father, we lift these lawyers and all involved to You. Work gently on each heart, bring a true sorrow for what grieves You and a growing love for what is true and compassionate. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and guide them with wisdom. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

🙇🏻 Jesus, Shepherd Your Sheep🐑 Micah 5:4, John 10:16, Jn 21:16, 1 Pet 5:2-4, Rev 7:17; ⛓️💥 Remember those in Chains, Hebrews 13:3, Col 4:18... Lord Jesus, thank YouYou are The LORD our Shepherd, Ps 23:1-6. You are The Good Shepherd that lay down Your life for us, Your sheep, John 10:11. Thank You that not only do Your Sheep hear Your voice, Jn 10:27, but that You lead them out, and we don't listen to others, John 10:3-4, but only head Your voice and follow You, John 10:27, but that You care for us, Ps 23:3 Isa 40:11, Ezek 34:15, Rev 7:17. Take care of us, defend us, comfort and feed us on wisdom and knowledge, Give Your angels charge over us and our fellow believers in spiritual battles, Ps 91:9-16, Heb 1:14. Strengthen our brothers and sisters, even shepherd the entire flock of God among us, 1 Pet 5:2, help us be on guard for ourselves and the flock of God among us from evil and warped wolves, Acts 20:28-29, by abiding in You and Your teaching, John 15:1-9, studying, obeying and teaching obedience to all Jesus commanded, Matt 28:20. Strengthen us and all in the faith with power and might through the Holy Spirit to know the dimensions of Your love, Eph 3:14-18. Be near those who are in need of deliverance, setting us free by just saying the Word, Matt 8:8, and draw us and all around us to Jesus. Especially draw those weary and heavy laden, that You might give them rest, Your yoke is easy and burden is light, so they find rest for their souls, Matt 11:28-30. Work everything out for the furtherance of the gospel, Phil 1:12.

🧎🏻Grant relief to the persecuted church like You did when the evil king began by laying hands on some who belonged to the church in order to mistreat them, had the Apostle James the brother of John the Beloved put to death with the sword, Acts 12:1-2, and give us testimonies like we have of the Apostle Peter's angelic release from prison in Acts 12:3-17 and the Apostles Paul and Silas' earthquake resulting in the conversion of the Philippian Jailer and his household in Acts 16:27-32. Hebrews 10:34. Help us sympathize with those in prison and joyfully accept the confiscation property, knowing that we ourselves have a better and permanent possession, Hebrews 10:34. Call and grant boldness give them visits, as Jesus said in Matthew 25:36, "I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me." Be their Shepherd even in those situations, Rom 8:38-39.

🙇🏻 Give grace to us all to purposely draw near to You, so You draw near to us, James 4:8. You are the vine, we are the branches; the one who remains in You, and You in them bears much fruit 🍇 for apart from You we can do nothing, Jn 15:5. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, Phil 4:13. Help us keep You holy in our hearts so as to be ready in season and out of season (at any time in any circumstance) to give an answer for the hope within us, with respect, 2 Tim 2:25, so ungodliness glorifies God that it had a good witness before You returned, 1 Pet 3:15-16. Deliver us from evil people and the evil one, temptation and sin. 2 Thes 3:2-3, Matt 6:13, Luke 11:4, John 17:15. Let love abound more in knowledge and discernment so we can choose the best in every situation that gives us a choice, so we may be sincere and blameless until Your Son's return, being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes from union with Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11. Let us freely receive Your abundant love and freely give it to others, healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons, Matt 10:8. Not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, do whatever You please, but as the Earth You have given to the sons of men, help us rule in part with You even now, Ps 115:1-18. Perfect our love, for as You are, so also are we in this world, 1 John 4:17. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We have heard your prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, for the desire you express is itself a work of the Holy Spirit. A thirst for truth and righteousness is not found in the natural heart, it is given from above, and where God has planted such a longing He delights to satisfy it.

You have prayed rightly according to Psalm 51, that God requires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. This is the touchstone of true repentance. There is a repentance which is poor and short lived, where men turn from sin for a time and then return to it with greater gusto, but the repentance which is the gift of the Spirit and which God accepts gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all sin as it is, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. As the children's hymn truly says, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more.

You grieve, and rightly, that men educated in the law can yet engage in horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. The Scripture teaches us that we cannot expect learning to make a man righteous, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The goodness of God in sparing life and showing patience is meant to lead sinners to repentance, not to harden them in evil. Let us pray then not for a mere regret that fears punishment, but for that godly sorrow which hates sin itself because it is evil in His eyes, and which turns from present sin out of love to Him who died for us.

Remember also that no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance for past sin. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. We must look to Jesus, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin, in whom there is pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. Where there is true repentance, there is full and free remission, and where there is no repentance there can be no remission.

Therefore we bring these lawyers and all the team of whom you speak before the Lord, and we plead for those who are chosen and for those who are yet bound by Satan's lies.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we ask that Thou wouldst work upon these hearts by Thy Holy Spirit. Convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment. Grant them that brokenness which Thou wilt not despise, that they may recognise their sins, hate their sins, and turn from them. Give them, as Thou alone canst give, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they may hunger and thirst after that righteousness which is found only in Christ, the Sun of Righteousness. Cover Thy people with the precious blood of Christ, keep them in peace and give them understanding and compassion. For those who are yet without Christ, spare them in Thy goodness and lead them to repentance unto life, that they may look to Jesus and live, and find that for all who truly trust Him there is now no condemnation. Let Thy will be done, and let Thy name be exalted on high, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is good, for this is the very thirst that Christ Himself calls blessed. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink, and He promised that he who believes on Him shall have rivers of living water flowing from within. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water and will not be satisfied until they have drunk deeply.

You have prayed rightly that the team and their lawyers and all involved would be given such a thirst, and a broken and contrite heart. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but a broken spirit and a contrite heart He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up or seek vengeance, but is quiet, ready to be corrected, and eager to turn from sin. This is His gift to give, for we are in a great conflict against unseen powers, and we need soberness and repentance more than anything else.

You also prayed that they would learn righteousness and compassion, and you noted how even the educated can fall into horrible sins. This is true. There was a righteousness of the law that was only a figure, an outward cleanness, but in Christ we are created anew in righteousness and holiness of truth. True righteousness is not a pretense, but a life of virtue that becomes like a breastplate, impenetrable, so that a man is firm and cannot be easily overthrown. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after this righteousness, for they shall be filled.

And the way to that filling is near, as it is written, the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other water that can satisfy. Whoever drinks of the water of this world shall thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water Christ gives shall never thirst, for it shall be in him a well springing up into everlasting life.

So let us pray together in Jesus name that the Father would work on every heart you have named, that He would convict them of sin, grant them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from it, and kindle in them a true hunger and thirst for truth and righteousness. May He cover those who are His with His peace and understanding, teach them to love truth and to disregard what is evil in His eyes, and draw all who do not yet know Him to confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead. May He give you also perseverance in prayer, with thanksgiving and a sober and watchful heart, trusting that His will is good and His Holy Spirit intercedes for us.

We join you in asking that His will be done, and that all would come to know the truth that sets us free. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a good and biblical prayer, and we join you in it. You have asked in the name of Jesus for those who are bound in lies to be set free, and Scripture does promise that the truth shall set you free and that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled.

That hunger is itself a work of God in the heart. When a person begins to see himself as God sees him, he realizes that his own goodness is not enough, that in the flesh there dwells no good thing and that even our best righteousness is like filthy rags before a holy God. That true sight of self creates a thirst not for more knowledge or more achievement, but for the righteousness that only God can give. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that promise marks a turning point. God does fill that thirst, but He fills it His way.

You observed rightly that education, even training in the law, does not make a person righteous or compassionate. Scripture warns that people can have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness by works. The righteousness God requires cannot be earned by keeping the law or by good deeds. It is the righteousness of Christ, imparted to us through faith in Jesus Christ. He was made sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. He became a curse for us, hanging on the tree, so that He could provide salvation and have our faith counted for righteousness.

That is why your prayer from Psalm 51 is so fitting. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. What He desires and will not despise is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. Only God can work on the heart to bring that brokenness, to cause a person to recognize sin, to hate it, and to turn from living in it. Part of that work is giving an undivided heart, a heart that fears His name and walks in His truth. Without that, the heart remains divided, wanting God with one part and the world with another.

There is in every person a deep thirst for God, like a deer panting for water. We often try to satisfy it with other things, but we thirst again. Jesus said, if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He was speaking of the spiritual thirst of man for God, and He alone can quench it because He is God. True truth and true righteousness are found in Him. In Him mercy and truth have met together, righteousness and peace have kissed. His righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and His law is truth.

We do not blame God for the evil, the disregard for human life, or the dishonest communication that grieves you. Death and atrocity and sin are the fruit of a fallen world, but God has made provision for reconciliation through Jesus Christ. We long for the day of redemption when all things are made right, and until then we pray and work toward that end, trusting His grace.

So we pray with you that God will stir the hearts of those you mentioned, their lawyers and representatives, and all who are involved. We ask that He would grant repentance, that He would cover those who are His with His blood, give peace and understanding, teach compassion, and forgive sin. We pray that He would grant them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that is only satisfied in Christ, that they would not continue in what is evil in His eyes, and that they would receive the gift of salvation which is by grace through faith in Jesus alone. We pray that His will be done and that His Holy Spirit would continue to intercede and draw hearts to Himself.
