Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for we know that only in God’s truth can true freedom be found. The Word declares, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). This hunger is not of the flesh but of the spirit, a deep, abiding desire to walk in the ways of the Lord, to reject deception, and to embrace His holiness.

We lift up the team at ### and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of spiritual blindness would fall from their eyes. The enemy seeks to bind minds with lies, but we declare that the blood of Jesus has power to break every chain. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB). May they be set free from every stronghold of sin, pride, and unrighteousness.

It is a sobering truth that even those trained in law, those who should uphold justice, can become entangled in sin. We do not judge, for all have fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), but we grieve when truth is twisted and lives are disregarded. The Lord does not delight in empty rituals or hollow professions; He desires a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:16-17). We pray that these individuals would come to hate their sin as God hates it, not just the consequences, but the very nature of it. May they turn from evil and seek the Lord with repentance and humility.

We also pray for the Christians among them, that they would stand firm in their faith, covered by the blood of Jesus and filled with His peace. May they be lights in the darkness, showing compassion without compromising truth. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16 WEB). May their lives reflect Christ in every word and action.

Father, we ask that You stir their hearts with an insatiable longing for Your truth. Let them not be satisfied with half-truths, legal loopholes, or worldly wisdom, but let them seek Your Word as the final authority. "Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth" (John 17:17 WEB). May they come to know You not just as a concept, but as the living God who saves, transforms, and redeems.

We exalt Your name, Jesus, for You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that all who are lost would come to know You, repent of their sins, and receive Your gift of eternal life. May Your will be done in their lives, just as it is in heaven.

Lord, we thank You for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We trust that He is at work even now, drawing hearts to You. May Your kingdom come, and Your righteousness reign, in every courtroom, every heart, and every life touched by this battle. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

We were stirred by the burden you carried in this prayer, and we want to stand with you in it. It is a heavy thing to watch people who know the law still choose what is dishonest or harmful, and to feel that grief over how human life and truthful words are treated so lightly. The Lord sees that grief, and He hears you bringing these lawyers and representatives before Him not with contempt but with mercy.

What you asked for is exactly what only God can give, an inner thirst for what is true and right. Real turning is more than feeling sorry for a moment when caught, it is a change of mind that leads to a change of direction, and that kind of work happens as God softens a heart to see sin clearly and to want to walk a different way. We cannot create that in anyone else, but we can keep asking the Holy Spirit to do it, and trust Him to work in His timing.

One simple way to keep this burden from wearing you down is to keep your own prayers steady and brief each day, placing these people and this situation before the Father and then leaving them in His hands, so you remain honest and compassionate yourself without carrying what only He can carry.

Father, we lift this team and their counsel to You. Work in their hearts to give a love for truth and a desire for what is right, cover Your people with Your peace and guard them in understanding, and let Your will be done in this whole matter. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a prayer which God delights to answer, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

It is well that you have taken this burden to the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which sinners may be saved, and Christ Himself lives to pray for sinners. You ask rightly that the truth shall set men free, and that freedom comes only when the heart receives Him who is Himself the Truth, in His proper humanity and actual Godhead, the mold of Truth into which the prepared mind must be delivered.

You do well to pray for those who oppose you, even for lawyers and legal representatives who you fear are bound by lies and have disregarded human life and honest communication. We are not to boast before God, nor to look down upon any who fall short of His glory, for we also have sinned, yet we may pray with holy mourning for those who reject His great salvation, that God would give them what He alone can give. As you have quoted from Psalm 51, the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Let this be our earnest plea, that the Lord would work upon their hearts, that they would loathe sin and hate it enough to turn from it, and grant them immediate pardon for the sake of the great atoning Sacrifice who was pierced for men.

To hunger and thirst after righteousness is to have fellowship with Christ in His own heart's desire, for He thirsted upon the Cross that righteousness might reign by His death and the righteousness of God might be vindicated. When a man is given this hunger, trifles become trifles and the essential Truth of God becomes his only care, and old cravings for pride and gain and lust are expelled by new affections. Pray on, then, that He who asks, Give Me your heart, would take these hearts which may now be cold as stone and hard as rock, and make them tender and contrite. A heart that is halved is killed, and God asks for the whole heart, not for what He may get from us, but for our benefit, that He may wash away corruption and clothe us with His perfect righteousness.

Be of good courage, for He shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the Lord. Your hope cannot content itself with things seen and temporal, but looks for that city whose Builder and Maker is God. Continue steadfast in prayer, that those for whom you intercede may be brought to know the Truth of God for themselves, and that you who already know it may hasten to tell it to others. May the Lord cover with His precious blood all who are His, give them peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, and may His will be done.

We join you in this supplication, that God would stir every heart concerned to seek first truth and righteousness in Christ Jesus, in whom alone is salvation, and to walk in holiness before Him. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is good, for it agrees with the Lord's own words. We join you in bringing this before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes.

You have prayed well when you ask not for outward show but for the heart to be changed. As it is written, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Christ Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw by necessity and constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, those who come as thirsty men come to water, eagerly longing to receive and to retain what He gives. And the promise is that he who drinks of the water which Christ gives shall never thirst again, for it shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

We pray with you for the team you named and for their lawyers and representatives. We ask the Lord to cover with His precious blood those who are His, to give them peace and understanding, and to bring to salvation those who are still bound in unbelief and falsehood. We do not ask God to bless what is evil, but we ask Him to convict of sin, to forgive sin through the cross, and to turn hearts from evil. Even the educated and learned can fall into horrible sins, for righteousness is not of knowledge alone but of a life of virtue before God. True righteousness and holiness are in truth, not in mere figure or outward profession.

With you we pray Psalm 51, that God would grant a broken spirit and a broken and contrite heart, which He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up or seek vengeance, but is quiet, humbled, ready to be taught, sober and awestruck and full of repentance. This is God's gift, and we ask Him to work this in them, that they may come to hate their sin and turn from it, to love truth and to speak honestly and to regard human life as He does.

We pray also that all who love Christ would put on the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue. As a breastplate is impenetrable, so is righteousness, and no one who hungers for it as Christ commands will be easily overthrown.

May the Lord stir these hearts, teach them to be righteous and compassionate, and give them that thirst which only He can satisfy. We will continue to pray with you that His will be done and that His name be exalted. Amen.

Your heartfelt prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness reflects the very work God desires to do in the human heart. That thirst itself is from God, and only God can satisfy it. As the psalmist said, as the deer pants after the water brooks, so our soul pants after God, for the living God. Jesus promised, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is a promise you can hold onto as you pray.

You are right to see that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. Scripture speaks of having a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish a righteousness of our own. True righteousness is not earned by our good works outweighing our bad works, and it does not come through human wisdom. God imputes righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. There is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who said I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by me. It is only through His cross that mercy and truth can meet together and righteousness and peace can kiss. Justice was satisfied because Jesus took the curse for sin upon Himself, so that God can be both just and merciful in forgiving the guilty.

You prayed from Psalm 51, and that is the right prayer. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. What He desires is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. Out of the heart are the issues of life, and the heart is deceitful above all things. That is why we must pray as David did, search me, O God, and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts. Only God can show a person their true motives and bring them to hate their sin and turn from it.

It is grievous when people disregard human life and honest communication and live for the moment, but God calls us to live for what is eternal. Keep praying that God will stir these hearts to see their need for truth, not as an abstract idea, but as a Person. Jesus is the truth who sets us free, and to know Him is to find the righteousness we long for.

We join you in praying that God will work deeply in each of these lives, that He will grant repentance, open eyes to see sin as He sees it, create that broken and contrite heart, and draw them to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. May He cover those who are His with peace and understanding, teach them to walk in mercy and truth, and give to those who do not yet know Him a real and lasting hunger for Him that will not be quenched until it is filled in Christ. We trust that all the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant, and that He hears and intercedes for us according to His will.
