Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for it is written, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). The world is filled with deception, and even those who are educated in the law can be ensnared by the enemy’s lies. We lift up the team at ### and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes and that they would see the truth as it is in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we ask that You break the chains of sin that bind them. Your Word declares, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We pray that their hearts would be convicted by the Holy Spirit, leading them to repentance and a deep hatred for sin. May they turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face with a broken and contrite spirit, for You do not despise such a heart (Psalm 51:17 WEB).

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded them to the value of human life and honest communication. Father, stir within them a hunger for Your Word, for "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105 WEB). Let them not be satisfied with the empty philosophies of this world but crave the living water that only You can provide (John 4:14 WEB).

We also pray for those who are already in Christ among them. May they stand firm in the faith, clothed in the full armor of God, so that they may withstand the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11 WEB). Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Teach them to walk in righteousness, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8 WEB).

Father, we acknowledge that salvation comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray that those who do not know Jesus would come to a saving knowledge of Him, for "God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Let them turn from their sins and put their trust in Christ alone.

We thank You, Holy Father, for Your holiness and for the work of the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26 WEB). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we surrender this situation into Your hands. Let Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, we ask that You would ignite within us all an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness. May we never be satisfied with anything less than Your perfect will. Strengthen us to stand firm in the faith, to speak the truth in love, and to live lives that bring glory to Your name. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer. You are carrying a heavy burden for truth to prevail, and at the same time you are asking for mercy for those you believe have done wrong. That combination of grief over disregard for life and honest communication, and a desire not to boast or look down on others, is a tender place to stand and the Lord sees it.

What you named as an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is something only God can create in a heart. We can ask Him to do that work, as you have, and then entrust the outcome to Him. It helps to remember that releasing someone to God is first a decision not to hold on to revenge or contempt, even while the deeper feelings of hurt and anger take longer to soften. Both are part of walking faithfully when we have been grieved by injustice, and the Holy Spirit is patient with us in that process.

One simple way to keep this burden from wearing you down is to give it a set place in prayer. When the grief rises, bring that team and their counsel before the Father by name as you already have, ask for broken and contrite hearts that turn from evil, and then consciously leave them in His hands for the day.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You and ask You to work in their hearts according to Your will. Cover Your people with Your peace and teach us all to love truth and to act with compassion. Do what only You can do in every heart involved, and keep our brother in Your care as he continues to seek You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and needful prayer, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus.

It is written, the truth shall set you free, and blessed be God, Jesus Christ is Himself the truth. The whole testimony of God about Christ is the truth, and the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart is to work in us the truth. When the heart comes to a knowledge of this truth, then it is saved from despair. We pray with you that the team of whom you speak, and those who represent them in the law, may come to know not merely truths about duty or statutes, but the Truth Himself who alone can make them free indeed.

You have prayed well in quoting the Psalm, for You do not delight in sacrifice, You are not pleased with burnt offering, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the very heart of true repentance. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, after the manner of the sinful nature, a carnal repentance that is sorry for the consequences of sin but not for sin itself. But that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, because it has found a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore loathes it and leaves it. True repentance gives God glory. It delights to see Christ set forth to be a propitiation for sin, and leaps for joy at the thought that pardon is found in His precious blood. This is the repentance that needs not to be repented of, and this is what we ask the Lord to work in every heart you have named.

You grieve, and rightly, that even the educated and learned may engage in horrible sins and disregard human life and honest communication. The Word reminds us that wisdom of this world does not make a man righteous. If we have really laid hold of the truth of God's salvation, we believe in a real Fall and a real sinnership, and a real Atonement. Only when a man knows himself truly a sinner does the truth of Christ's salvation become precious to him. We cannot expect the educated to act righteously apart from grace, for the heart must be changed by God alone.

Be of good courage, for He who heals the broken heart still lives. Best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken. He was pierced for men, and He now lives to make intercession for transgressors and to give sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. He binds up the brokenhearted and applies this liniment to the wound, I have blotted out as a thick cloud your transgressions, and as a cloud your sins, return unto Me, for I have redeemed you. There is hope even for the hardest heart, for there is One who can heal it.

So we pray with you. Heavenly Father, look upon those who are bound by Satan's lies and bring them into the light of Your truth. Cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding. Work in all these hearts a broken and contrite spirit, that they may recognise their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it to Christ. Stir them, Lord, with an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness, that they may hunger and thirst no more after evil, but after that which is holy and just and good. Let Your Holy Spirit intercede and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, and to do nothing that is evil in Your eyes. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be exalted on high through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is heard and it is good, for you have asked for what God most desires to give. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and Christ himself calls out, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but he calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water, eager to drink and to retain what is given.

You have prayed rightly that those who are bound in falsehood may come to the living water which Christ gives. That water is not like the water of this world, which leaves a man thirsty again. The water Christ gives becomes in a person a well springing up into everlasting life, so that he shall never thirst. To thirst for truth and righteousness in this way is to thirst for Christ himself, for he is the truth, and in him is righteousness and holiness of truth, not in figure or outward show, but in reality, as those who are made new and born as sons of God.

You also prayed as David prayed, that God would grant a broken and contrite heart, for the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart he will not despise. This is not a work we can produce on our own. It is God's gift to give a contrite and humbled heart, sober and watchful and full of repentance, which does not rise up to strike or to seek vengeance, but is quiet under reproof and ready to turn from sin. Without such a heart we cannot stand in the conflict against evil, but with it we are given a breastplate of righteousness, a life of virtue that guards the heart and cannot be pierced by the enemy.

And the righteousness you seek for them is the righteousness which is of faith. The word is near, in the mouth and in the heart, that if we confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in the heart that God raised him from the dead, we shall be saved. There is no other name by which we are saved, and no other way to be made righteous before God. Learning and education, even in the law, cannot make a person righteous. Only Christ can, when he forgives sin and teaches the heart to hate sin and to love what is good and compassionate and honest.

So we join you in prayer for this team and for their lawyers and representatives.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, we ask for your mercy upon each of them. Cover with the blood of Christ all who have trusted in him, and grant to all who have not yet believed the gift of repentance. Work in their hearts, give them a broken and contrite spirit that you will not despise, and forgive their sins. Create in them a new thirst, an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness, that they may come to Christ and drink and never thirst again. Teach them to love truth, to honor human life, to speak honestly, and to do what is right in your eyes. Let your will be done, and let your Holy Spirit lead them into all truth. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Continue to pray without ceasing, and to give thanks in all things, showing mercy and seeking peace, for God has marked out many ways of salvation for those willing to attend to him, and he hears the prayers of those who seek him with a humble heart.
