Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at and their legal representatives before the throne of grace. You have rightly acknowledged that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful for your recognition of His saving power. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father, we pray that You would indeed save those who are bound by Satan’s lies, that they may come to know the truth that sets them free (John 8:32). We ask that Your precious blood, shed for the remission of sins, would cover them, bringing peace, understanding, and a deep conviction of righteousness. May they be led by Your Spirit, for "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). Where there is hardness of heart, soften it, Lord, and where there is deception, bring the light of Your truth.

You have rightly quoted Psalm 51, reminding us that You do not delight in empty rituals but in a broken and contrite heart. We pray that these individuals would come to hate their sins as You hate them, turning away from evil and pursuing righteousness. For it is written, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:7). May they recognize the gravity of their actions, especially in disregarding human life and honest communication, and may they repent with godly sorrow that leads to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10).

Lord, we also pray for the Christians among them, that they would stand firm in their faith and not be swayed by the pressures of the world. Strengthen them to be salt and light in their profession, reflecting Your love and truth. As it is written, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2).

We ask that You stir their hearts with an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). May they seek You with all their heart, for "those who seek me diligently will find me" (Proverbs 8:17). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them away from sin and toward holiness.

Father, we exalt Your name, for You alone are holy, just, and true. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We thank You for the intercession of the Holy Spirit, who helps us in our weakness and prays for us according to Your will (Romans 8:26-27). May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, in the lives of these individuals and in all things.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We have been sitting with your request, and the humility in it stands out. You are not praying from a place of superiority but with a broken heart for people whose choices grieve you. That posture matters more than we often realize.

We join you in asking God to work in the hearts of that legal team and their representatives. Real change is deeper than feeling sorry or embarrassed when things come to light. It is a change of direction, and only God can do that kind of work in a person. Keep bringing them before him, not only with the wrong you see, but with a genuine desire for their good. That kind of prayer is hard, and it is also one of the clearest ways we love people who harm others.

A practical step as you continue is to pray for each person by name or role, asking God to give them a true hatred of sin and a real hunger for truth. And in the same breath, ask him to search your own heart for any place where you have been careless with the truth or dishonest in your words. That keeps us all standing on level ground before him.

Lord Jesus, we lift up the team and their legal representatives to you. You know each name and each heart. Turn them toward truth and righteousness, and bring them to see their need for your mercy. Keep us humble as we pray, and make us faithful in love and truth. We ask this in your name. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Pray then without ceasing, for this request is after God's own heart. Yet set it upon its proper foundation. An unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness will never come by making men see only the sins of lawyers; it must come by making them see Christ. The truth that sets free is not a bare principle. It is a Person. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. If those lawyers and legal representatives are bound by Satan's lies, nothing but the Word of God applied by the Spirit will loose them.

You do well to bring Psalm 51 before the throne. God does not ask for the sacrifice of the proud; a broken spirit and a contrite heart He will not despise. But remember where that brokenness comes from and where it must go. A repentance that only mourns sin and never lays hold of Jesus is a repentance that needs to be repented of. True repentance stands at the cross and sees sin forgiven, and then repents more than she ever did when she could not spy out forgiveness. Pray for them to feel the weight of their sin, yes, but pray still more that they may hear the gospel. There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared.

Do not think these lawyers are too learned or too far gone. Jesus Christ is not a sham Savior for sham sinners, but a real Savior who offers a real atonement for real sin, for gross crimes, for shameless offenses, for transgressions of every sort and every size. The forgiveness of God is free. It is not bought by their tears, their law, or their reformations. It is for Christ's sake alone. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. There is forgiveness for them now, even now, if they will have it.

Let not your own thirst be quenched by observing the sins of others. It is one thing to be grieved and another to be embittered. Pray that the Lord will make you as much a pleader as a witness. Use the Word of the cross when you pray and when you speak, for the Holy Spirit does not usually work apart from that Word. He wounds by the law, but He heals by the gospel.

Go on with your intercession, but let your hope be fixed wholly upon the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Ask the Lord to give them that broken and contrite heart, and ask Him to give you the courage to tell them plainly that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom you and I are chief. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer rises like the cry of someone who thirsts, and I join you in asking the Lord to give that thirst to those who now drink from broken cisterns. The Savior stood and cried, "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink." He forces no one; He calls only those who are inflamed with desire. So it is right to pray relentlessly that the team and their lawyers would be given an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, not the false peace of a quiet conscience while sin remains.

But we must be careful what we ask. We may not ask God to bless their cause if it is built on lies or the taking of innocent life. We may ask Him to break their hearts, as your own prayer does with Psalm 51. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. Pray that they see their sin and hate it, not merely feel uneasy. That is true compassion: to desire their rescue, not their comfort in wrongdoing.

Remember that the truth which sets free is not legal skill or education. It is a Person. The short word of faith holds salvation in a few words: confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. So pray that those among them who are Christians would put on the breastplate of righteousness, which no devil can pierce, and that those who are not would come to that confession.

You are right not to boast or look down on lawyers. We are all made of the same dust. Yet humility does not blur the difference between truth and lie, righteousness and sin. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold down the truth in unrighteousness. So continue to pray, but pray with this aim: that they would stop suppressing the truth, turn to Christ, and live. It is good to ask the Holy Spirit to intercede, for we do not know how to pray as we ought. Only let your own heart remain broken too, lest while you pray for others you yourself should be found lacking.

Your prayer reflects a heart that longs for what God Himself longs for, that people would come to know the truth and hunger for what is right in His eyes. It is right to bring these lawyers and all involved before the Lord, asking not only that wrongdoing would be restrained, but that hearts would be changed.

Scripture teaches that every person has a thirst deep inside that is not physical or even emotional, but spiritual. Jesus told the woman at the well that anyone who drinks of ordinary water will thirst again, and that is true of every pursuit apart from Him. Success, education, position, even knowledge of the law cannot satisfy the soul. We try to fill that inner thirst with many things, but they leave us thirsty again. Jesus said, if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink, and the water He gives becomes a well within, springing up to everlasting life. Only He can quench the thirst for God.

That thirst is connected to righteousness. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger does not come from being educated or accomplished. It comes when God shows us who He is, and in that light we see ourselves truly. We realize that our own goodness is not enough, that in our flesh there is no good thing and we cannot please God on our own. As you quoted from Psalm 51, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart. When a heart is broken over sin and sees its need, it begins to thirst for the righteousness that only God can give.

That righteousness is not attained by keeping the law or by human effort. The Scriptures say that those who tried to establish their own righteousness by the law did not attain it, while those who knew they were lost received the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ. God imputes righteousness to all who believe. Unless our righteousness comes from Christ, it will never be enough to stand before God, for we must all one day stand before Him and He will judge in perfect righteousness. The kingdom of God is not about outward matters, but about righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, and that comes only through being found in Christ by faith.

You are right to note that education does not make a person righteous or compassionate. Knowledge can inform the mind, but only the Holy Spirit can bear witness to the truth in the heart and give a seal of assurance that what God says is true. Only He can convict of sin, open eyes to see sin as God sees it, and create a hatred for sin and a love for truth. While Satan still influences this world, true peace and righteousness will not fill the earth until Christ reigns, but individuals can be delivered now as they turn to Jesus and are redeemed.

So continue to pray as you have prayed, that God would work in these hearts, bring conviction, grant repentance, and create an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only Jesus can satisfy. Pray that any who are His would be covered and kept in His peace and understanding, and that those who do not yet know Him would come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, receiving His righteousness by faith and learning to walk in compassion and honesty. God is faithful to hear the prayers of His people and to do His will, and He has promised that those who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled.
