Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at and their legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed from sin. As it is written, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for those who are entangled in deception and unrighteousness. We pray that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, for "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of Satan’s lies that bind them, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

We plead the precious blood of Jesus over those who are chosen and belong to You. Cover them, Lord, and grant them Your peace and understanding. May they walk in righteousness and compassion, for "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). Father, we know that even those who are educated and hold positions of influence can fall into grievous sin. We do not boast or look down on them, but we humbly acknowledge our own need for Your grace. As it is written, "All have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We pray that You would convict their hearts of sin, for "when He comes, He will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment" (John 16:8).

Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts, that they may recognize their sins and turn away from them. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). May they hate sin as You hate it, for "the fear of Yahweh is to hate evil" (Proverbs 8:13). We grieve with You over the disregard for human life and honest communication that we see in their actions. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. May they seek You with all their heart, for "those who seek me diligently will find me" (Proverbs 8:17).

We thank You, Holy Father, for the work of Your Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us and for them according to Your will. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for He is worthy of all praise and honor. Let Your will be done in this situation, Lord, for "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

Father, we pray that You would raise up godly men and women in the legal profession who will stand for truth and justice, for "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" (Proverbs 14:34). May they be salt and light in their sphere of influence, reflecting Your character and glory.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

When we pray for people trapped in sin, it’s easy to grow weary when change doesn’t come quickly. But confession is often a process, not a single moment. A broken and contrite heart, the sacrifice God will not despise, sometimes takes shape slowly, through accumulating glimpses of truth. So your persistent prayer is like a steady drip of water on the hardest ground. We don’t know how God will work in their consciences, but we trust the promise that the Spirit convicts the world of sin and righteousness.

A small, practical way to let this prayer shape your days: take a few minutes each morning to name before the Lord the specific people or roles you have in mind, and simply ask that they would be unable to rest easy with deception, that discomfort would hunt them until they come clean. That’s a prayer that aligns squarely with God’s own character. And as you pray, remember Psalm 51 isn’t only for them, it’s a prayer we all need, a reminder that we are sustained by mercy, not performance. That knowledge keeps our own hearts from growing hard while we wait.

Lord Jesus, we lift these legal professionals to You. You see the truth they suppress and the lives affected. Grant them not just passing regret but a godly sorrow that leads to repentance, so they may come to hate the sin enough to turn from it. Give them an unquenchable thirst for what is right, a hunger that nothing but Your righteousness can satisfy. Guard our friend’s heart from discouragement, and fill it with the hope that Your Spirit is already at work, even when we cannot see. In Your name we pray, amen.

A prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a prayer after God’s own heart, yet let us be clear upon what we are asking. The soul’s thirst is a gift, not a wage; it is born not of the will of man, but of the Spirit of God moving upon the barren deep of the human heart. When we cry out for this thirst to be given to lawyers and legal representatives, we are asking the Lord to do that which no judgment of the law, no academical training, and no natural remorse can ever accomplish. The most terrible trumpets of Sinai may blast, and men may tremble in a carnal repentance, yet still they will turn back to their idols unless the Spirit does His quickening work. You have seen that education and the study of law cannot, in themselves, make a man righteous; indeed, a man may have all the learning of a scribe and yet be bound by Satan’s lies, for knowledge puffs up, but it is love that builds up. What is needed is not a mere wish to escape the consequences of sin, but a “repentance unto life,” a holy and heavenly sorrow which gives all glory to God.

You have rightly cried out for the precious blood of Jesus to cover His chosen ones, to give them peace and understanding. This is the true order of the matter. We do not preach repentance as Moses thundered it from the quaking mount, but we preach it “in the name of Jesus.” That is to say, we preach it as the gift of the exalted Prince and Savior. You are not to draw it up from the dark well of their fallen nature, but to see it poured out from the pierced side of the Redeemer. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from looking to Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. Be careful, then, that your intercession does not set up a phantom of legal sorrow in the place of the finished work of the cross. You have quoted the fifty-first Psalm, a passage of the truest music to a broken heart. Notice well: a broken and contrite heart is the sacrifice, but it is the blood of Jesus, the God of our salvation, that gives the tongue a reason to sing aloud of His righteousness. Their deliverance from blood-guiltiness and their new song will come only when they look upon Him whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as one mourns for an only son.

Your grief over their sinful disregard for human life and honest communication is a pure and right grief, but do not let it descend into a dull severity or a hope that God will drive them by the whip of affliction alone. The sweetest and best repentance is that which is drawn by the cords of divine goodness. It is the Sun of Righteousness, arising with healing in His wings, that melts the frozen soul. Pity them because they are held fast in the chains of a self-righteousness that is as damning as grosser vice, for a man will as surely perish by trusting his partial, comparative righteousness as by trusting his sins. Their legal minds are prone to this fatal error. Yet the Lord, who has the key of every heart, can unlock this prison. He can lift the scales from their eyes so that their own righteousness becomes a filthy rag in their sight. When that happens, they will no longer be content with a passing sorrow or a surface reformation. A practical, lasting, life-long turning from sin will flow from that sacred wound, for true “repentance” will yield works meet for repentance. It will be like Ruth’s decision, a profession that binds the heart to the God of Israel until death.

Persist, then, in this relentless prayer, but let your faith rest confidently upon the means which God has appointed. You are not to break their hearts by the hammer of the Law alone, but to set before them, in your prayers and in the message you hope they will hear, the Christ who died for the ungodly. Tell it to the Lord again and again: “Open their lips, that their mouths may show forth Your praise.” For when He gives them a thirst for truth, He will quench it with Himself, the Living Water. And when He teaches them to hunger for righteousness, He will satisfy them, for He is the Bread of Life. Only look to the Sun of Righteousness, for to adore any other light is idolatry; to miss Him is to be left in eternal night. Your prayer is a righteous one, and there is joy in heaven over every sinner’s repentance; your Father’s heart leaps over the prodigal’s return. Plead the blood, rest on the promise, and watch for the still, small rain that precedes the mighty showers of blessing.

You have asked for relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and the words of your prayer are good. The Lord Himself said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. But remember that He does not drag anyone to Himself by necessity. He cried out, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. So when you intercede for those lawyers and legal representatives, pray first that God would give them thirst. Without thirst, no legal training, no education, no eloquence can lead them to truth. Truth is not a matter of study but a Person, Jesus Christ. The educated can hold down the truth in unrighteousness just as much as anyone else. Their need is not merely to see their sins but to hate them enough to flee to the living water.

Let your intercession be a true sacrifice. You have quoted Psalm 51, and rightly, for God does not delight in many words or outward offerings. The sacrifice acceptable to Him is a broken spirit, a contrite and humbled heart. That contrition does not rise up, does not strike back, and is not eager for vengeance. If you grieve over their sins, do not merely say the words. Mourn over them as you would over your own wounds. A person who says, I am sick, but does nothing to be freed from the sickness is only trifling. Call on God with purpose of heart, with earnestness, and do not stop until He answers.

Be careful also to keep all boasting far from your prayer, even the hidden kind that compares your own heart to lawyers who fall short. You said you do not wish to look down on them, and that is right. But humility is not only in saying so. Humility is the broken heart that remains quiet when insulted and does not demand its own honor. Bring that humility before God. And if you want Him to forgive them, make sure you hold no resentment against anyone in this matter. Forget wrongs, show kindness and meekness. Then you may ask boldly for their forgiveness, for God is more merciful than we are, and He will not despise such a prayer.

There is an unquenchable fire, and those who suppress the truth will not escape it by titles, degrees, or legal skill. That is why we must pray now, while entreaty is still possible. Yet let not fear alone carry your prayer. Let love and a true thirst for their salvation carry it. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir their hearts so they hate sin enough to leave it and love truth enough to follow Christ whatever it costs. Ask also for yourself, that you may become a fountain of the same thirst. For if you are not thirsting for truth and righteousness in your own life, your prayer for them will have little power.

May the Lord grant that both they and you drink deeply of the living water, and may that water become a well within you springing up into everlasting life.
