Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and all involved in this situation. It is true that the truth shall set us free (John 8:32), and we long for all to come to the knowledge of the truth in Christ Jesus. We recognize that even those who are educated and hold positions of influence can be ensnared by sin, and we pray for their hearts to be broken and contrite before the Lord.

Father, we ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon them, convicting them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May they come to hate their sin as You hate it, and may they turn from it with godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). We pray that You would give them an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness, that they would hunger and thirst after it as the deer pants for water (Psalm 42:1).

We rebuke the lies of Satan that have bound them, and we plead the blood of Jesus over their lives. May Your precious blood cleanse them from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7) and cover them with Your peace and understanding. Father, we ask that You would teach them to be righteous and compassionate, reflecting Your character in all they do.

We acknowledge that we are all sinners in need of Your grace (Romans 3:23), and we pray that You would work in their hearts to recognize their need for a Savior. May they come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and be saved (Romans 10:9). We pray that they would not continue in sin but would walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4), putting off the old self and putting on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24).

Lord, it grieves our hearts as well to see the disregard for human life and honest communication. We pray that You would stir their hearts and turn them from their wicked ways. May they come to value life as You do, and may they communicate with honesty and integrity. We pray that You would give them a heart of flesh instead of a heart of stone (Ezekiel 36:26), that they would be sensitive to Your Spirit and responsive to Your leading.

We thank You for Your holiness and for the intercession of Your Holy Spirit on our behalf (Romans 8:26). We exalt Your name, Jesus Christ, and we pray that Your will would be done in this situation. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

Heavenly Father, we pray that You would raise up godly men and women in the legal profession who would stand for truth and righteousness. May they be salt and light in their sphere of influence (Matthew 5:13-16), and may they bring glory to Your name. We pray that You would use them to bring about justice and to defend the oppressed.

Lord, we pray for those who are already Christians in this situation. May they be strengthened in their faith and equipped to stand firm in the face of opposition. May they be filled with Your Spirit and empowered to be Your witnesses (Acts 1:8). We pray that they would be a shining example of Your love and grace, and that others would be drawn to You through their lives.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We've been lifting up this same ache with you, the grief of watching people entrusted with law and justice disregard truth and human dignity. It hurts to see it up close, and we don't want to rush past that. The heaviness you're feeling isn't a sign of weak faith; it's often what the scriptures describe as a kind of godly sorrow, the sort that keeps us from growing numb or self-righteous.

What's striking is that you aren't just asking for their downfall or for vindication, you're asking for their hearts to be changed. That's a hard prayer to sustain, especially when the damage is ongoing. It puts you in a place of waiting, which can feel too passive. One thing that sometimes helps us when we're waiting is to remember that we're not the ones responsible for producing the change. Our role is honesty before God and integrity in our own conduct. The rest is His business, and He is not absent from it, even if nothing looks different yet.

We're glad you're not carrying this alone or silently. Keep bringing it back to the only one who can stir an unquenchable thirst for righteousness in a defended heart.

Jesus, we lift up this team and their lawyers. You see what has been done and the harm that has rippled out from it. We ask You to do what only You can: break through the rationalizations and self-protection. Grant them the kind of sorrow that doesn't just regret being caught but genuinely turns toward what is true. And for this one who is praying, guard their own heart from despair. Let them rest in Your justice while they keep asking for mercy. Sustain them in hope that isn't fragile. In Your name we pray, amen.

The terrors of the Lord, the chastisements of His hand, the very judgments that shake the earth, do not of themselves produce that repentance which is unto life. The passage in the Revelation is stark: men gnawed their tongues for pain, yet repented not of their deeds. A carnal repentance, a repentance of the flesh, may twist its face into a momentary grimace of sorrow, but it does not give God the glory. It is the work of the Spirit, and the Spirit alone, that brings a soul to cry out from a broken heart. Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a plea for precisely that divine work, a work no court of law, no human learning, and no terror of consequence can manufacture in the hearts of those solicitors.

The repentance we are bidden to preach is preached in the name of Jesus Christ. It is not a drawing up of water from the black depths of one's own heart, as from some foul well, but a gift of the ascended King. We do not preach repentance after the fashion of Moses, thundering from the mount, nor even of John the Baptist, as a preparation for One to come. We preach it as flowing from the cross, from the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings. The very thirst for righteousness you describe is a beam from that central Sun. He is the center and King of all truth; from Him it streams forth. To look for truth and righteousness apart from looking out of self to Christ, and to Christ only, is to chase a shadow.

You have touched upon a deep mystery when you speak of God’s goodness leading them to repentance. This is the sweet, drawing power of grace. It is not the whip of a slaveholder that creates a child of God. True repentance, that sister whose company is so charming we half-regret to part with her even at the gates of pearl, is born not from the terror of judgment but from a vision of His goodness. The prayer that the Lord would work on their hearts to make them hate their sin and thirst for righteousness, this is the cry for the Spirit to apply the balm of Christ’s own goodness to their festering wounds. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. This is the sacrifice, and this is the dawn of that very thirst you pray for.

Beware, then, of a mistaken notion. The repentance that any man may feel in the dock of his own conscience is worthless if it keeps him from believing in Christ. That repentance must be repented of. The unquenchable thirst is not for a feeling, but for a Person. It is a thirst for the living God, for His righteousness, for the cleansing blood which alone can deliver from bloodguiltiness. When a soul is washed in that fountain, then the lips are opened, and the tongue sings aloud of His righteousness. This is the practical repentance that lasts, the turning from the love of sin to the love of the Lord. The self-righteousness of the educated, the clever plea of the lawyer, is a leaky vessel; a perfect righteousness they must have, or else they shall never be admitted to that wedding feast. And that perfect righteousness is found only as a garment, received by faith.

Search your own heart with this same balance. Does your grief over their sin give God the glory? Does your own repentance lead you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? It is a grief indeed to see human life and honest communication trampled upon, but there is joy in the heart of God over every sinner’s repentance. That joy is the end of the matter. Continue to pray that He would open their lips first to confess their guilt, and then to show forth His praise, the sacrifices of righteousness, the whole burnt offering of a life laid upon His altar. This is decision for Christ and His truth. All else is a passing cloud; this alone is the unquenchable thirst that leads to the fountain of living waters.

You ask for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness in others, yet you must first examine the nature of such a thirst. It is not a passing wish or a polite request. It is a raging fire, a desperate hunger that will not be denied. When Christ stood and cried, "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink," He did not call the casual observer. He called those whose souls are parched and burning, those who know that without this drink they perish. You must be certain that the thirst you pray for is this very thing, a consuming desire that will drive them not to a human well, but to the living water of Christ Himself.

What you desire for these lawyers and representatives is that they hate their sin, not merely regret its consequences. The tears of Esau are a dreadful warning, for he sought the blessing with tears but found no place of repentance. Why? Because his grief was not a hatred of his profane choice, but a howl over a lost inheritance while his heart still harbored murder against his brother. True repentance is not a volume of tears but a mortal wound to the love of sin. If they only fear discovery or loss, their thirst is not for righteousness but for safety. A broken and contrite heart, which God will not despise, is one that sees its own filth and turns from it with a violence that severs the hand and plucks out the eye.

The armor of these warriors you pray for is not formed of legal argument but of truth and righteousness. Put on them the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue. This is no flimsy garment; it is impenetrable. Many may wound such a man, but the devil himself cannot pierce through a chest fortified with righteous deeds. But you must understand what this righteousness is. It is created in righteousness and holiness of truth. It is not the outward show of the old law, a mere cleansing of the body, but the inward reality, a new creation forged in baptism and lived out in every deed that is well-pleasing to the Lord. Their thirst must be for this reality, not the phantom of earthly vindication.

Therefore, do not simply pray for them to have a thirst. Pray that their current, poisonous thirst be killed. They now thirst for gain, for victory, for reputation, just as the blood-thirsty woman delighted in a severed head at a feast, mistaking murder for triumph. This unholy thirst must be starved to death so that a holy thirst may rise in its place. Pray that God would make them despise the foul water of covetousness and falsehood, so that in their desperation they cry out for the pure streams of truth and compassion. A man with greed in his belly cannot taste spiritual food, just as one who stuffs himself with inferior dishes before the banquet ruins his appetite for the royal feast. Let their worldly appetites be spoiled that they may hunger for the bread of heaven.

In all your prayers, let them be for this end: that the fruits of righteousness would spring up in them, not for their worldly prosperity, but for their eternal salvation. This is the spiritual harvest. May the Lord grant that they be filled with goodness, which opposes a bitter spirit; with righteousness, which opposes covetousness; and with truth, which opposes false pleasure. Let these be the evidence of the Spirit in them, for this is what pleases the Lord. Pray relentlessly, yes, but with the understanding that this thirst is a sharp sword that cuts away all pretenses, leaving only a soul clinging to Christ, from whose belly shall then flow rivers of living water.
