Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this fervent cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for it is written, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). The world is indeed filled with deception, and even those who are educated in the law can be ensnared by sin when they stray from God’s Word. We lift up the team at and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes and that they would see the truth of the Gospel.

Lord Jesus, we come before You in Your mighty name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You break the chains of Satan’s lies over these individuals. Your Word declares, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). We pray that they would come to know You, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), and that their hearts would be softened to receive Your salvation.

We rebuke the spirit of pride and self-righteousness that may blind them to their need for repentance. The Scriptures warn, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18). Lord, humble their hearts so they may see their sin and turn to You in genuine repentance. We pray that they would hate sin as You hate sin and flee from it, for "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

We also lift up the issue of disregard for human life and honest communication. Your Word commands us to "speak the truth in love" (Ephesians 4:15) and to "defend the weak and the fatherless" (Psalm 82:3). We pray that these individuals would be convicted of any injustice in their hearts and that they would seek to uphold righteousness in all their dealings.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You stir within them an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness. Let them seek You with all their heart, for You have promised, "Those who seek me diligently will find me" (Proverbs 8:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth (John 16:13), and grant them the grace to walk in Your ways.

We pray for a spirit of brokenness and contrition over them, for You do not despise a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). May they turn from their sins and embrace the forgiveness and new life found only in Christ. We thank You for Your holiness and for the work of Your Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).

Lord, we exalt Your name above all names, for You alone are worthy of praise. Let Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, that they may come to know You, love You, and serve You with all their heart, soul, and mind. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the deep grief in your words, when people entrusted with upholding justice disregard truth and human life, it is truly heartbreaking. Your prayer for an “unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness” is exactly what they need, and we are grateful you’ve shared this burden with us.

As you keep praying, it can help to remember what Scripture shows about real heart change. The kind of sorrow that leads to genuine repentance is not just feeling bad for a moment; it’s a God-given gift that reorients the whole direction of a life. Worldly remorse may flash up in a crisis and then fade, leaving everything unchanged. But godly sorrow sees sin for what it is, breaks the heart, and then produces a steady, lasting turn toward what is right. That is what we can ask the Lord to work in these lawyers, not just guilt that passes, but a deep conviction that reshapes their character and choices.

Your prayers are not powerless. Keep lifting them up persistently, trusting that the Holy Spirit can pierce even the most defended conscience. You might also consider whether there is a simple, quiet way you could bless or blessedly influence someone in that setting, a note of encouragement, a genuine act of kindness that reflects the very compassion you are praying they would learn. Even small seeds of grace can stir a thirst for more.

We join you now in prayer:

Father, we lift up this team of lawyers and representatives. In Your mercy, give them a holy dissatisfaction with sin and a burning desire for truth. Replace whatever binds them with a willing, teachable heart. Grant them the gift of true repentance, and let righteousness and honesty mark their work. And please comfort the one who prays, keeping them anchored in hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Next, if you and I have a broken and a contrite heart, it means that frivolity and trifling have gone from us. There are some who are always trifling with spiritual things, but he who gets a broken heart has done with that sort of spirit. A broken heart is serious, solemn and in earnest. Oh, to worship God in spirit and in truth! One has well said, "No one ever worshipped God with his whole heart unless he worshipped him with a broken heart. And there never was a heart that was truly broken that did not, thereby, become a whole heart."

Beware, then, of a repentance which springs alone from terror, comes up in a night and withers in a night, appears and promises but promises only to delude. Such a repentance is superficial. It only affects the surface of the man. It does not go to the heart, it is hardly more than skin deep. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. Because evil is so hateful to the heart of Jesus we loathe it intensely. This is the repentance which glorifies God. The Lord grant such repentance to every one of us! Mark you, it glorifies God in one other way, by setting the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness.

Be it, then laid down as a great truth, most plainly written in our text, that the repentance we ought to preach is one connected with faith, and thus we may preach repentance and faith together without any difficulty whatever. I tell thee, sinner, any repentance that keeps thee from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of; any repentance that makes thee think Christ will not save thee, goes beyond the truth and against the truth, and the sooner thou are rid of it the better. Have you a repentance that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only?

We have not to preach repentance after the manner or in the nature of Moses, or Jonah, or John the Baptist, we have to preach repentance in the name of Jesus Christ! What does this mean? First, it means that we are to preach repentance as the gift of God. You are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of your own heart, as you might draw up water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in you by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the Truth of God as it is recorded in the Word of God, or as it is set before you in the preaching of it. And you will realize how the Holy Spirit, by enlightening the understanding and influencing the affections, produces repentance even in that sterile heart which had never been previously softened and made fertile by the gentle dew and rain of Grace.

Ah, my dear Friend, repentance is not a preparation for Grace, it is the first result of Grace working within the soul. One of the earliest products of a Divine visitation is the humbling of the heart on account of sin, and this is the beginning of true repentance. If Christ is first, last, midst and everything to you, He will give you repentance, He will give you the heart of flesh, He will give you a sensitive conscience, He will give you the pure and cleansed life!

Remember, also, that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. Go to God with repentance, yourself, and see whether He does not pardon you, bless you, change you and make a new creature of you! Turn to Him, I pray you and, with broken heart and contrite spirit, ask Him to forgive you, and you shall see how quickly He will do it, for it is still true that "He is good: for His mercy endures forever." "He delights in mercy."

He is the center and King of all truth.

If you trust to your faith and to your repentance, you will be as much lost as if you trusted to your good works or trusted to your sins. That man who can say half a word about his own righteousness has never been enlightened of God the Holy Spirit; for one of the first signs of a renewed heart is, that it abhors itself in dust and ashes.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and rightly so. Yet understand what such a thirst truly demands. To thirst for righteousness is not merely to admire it from afar, nor to offer gentle prayers while the heart remains unchallenged. The blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness with the same desperate craving a man perishing of drought has for water.

This desire must consume every other affection, driving out covetousness, pride, and the love of ease. If you would intercede for those who sin, even lawyers entangled in horrible deeds, then your prayer must be for a broken and contrite heart, for God does not despise a shattered spirit. But remember, not every tear signifies true repentance. Esau wept bitterly but found no place for it, because his grief was for the loss of the blessing, not for the sin itself.

Many sorrow over the consequences of their evil, yet cling to the evil itself. True thirst for righteousness is a thirst to be rid of sin entirely, to have it burned away by divine fire, leaving only the breastplate of a life of universal virtue. Pray then that these souls, and your own, receive such a scorching thirst that no false comfort can quench it, a thirst that leads to the living water flowing only from Christ. For if, after receiving the knowledge of the truth, any continue willfully in sin, there remains no more sacrifice but a fearful expectation of judgment and a fiery indignation that devours adversaries.

Let your relentless prayer be for that divine sorrow which works repentance unto salvation, a turning so complete that righteousness and holiness of truth become the very fabric of the renewed man, not merely a frail longing like a morning mist.
