Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We feel the ache behind your words, it’s clear you’re carrying a real weight for these people, and that kind of prayer isn’t easy to sustain. When someone’s choices so disregard truth and human dignity, the grief can be deep, but your longing for them to truly turn is a reflection of God’s own heart.

Something we’ve seen over and over is that lasting change doesn’t come simply from feeling sorry when things go wrong. Genuine transformation happens when sorrow becomes more than regret, when it becomes a change of mind that actually reshapes behavior. That’s what we can keep asking God to work in them: not just flashes of guilt, but a profound, “godly sorrow” that leads them to see reality differently and walk a new path. It’s the kind of thirst you’re already praying for, a holy restlessness that won’t let them settle for less than truth.

As you continue this relentless prayer, we’d also gently encourage you to guard your own heart. Long-term intercession for people who seem resistant can stir up frustration or bitterness, so ask God to keep your own spirit tender and free from resentment. You might try writing down a few names or specific situations and then, as you pray, consciously hand each one to God, trusting that He sees more than you do and is already at work in ways you can’t yet see.

Lord Jesus, we lift up these lawyers and legal representatives to You. You know the lies that have tangled their thinking and the harm their actions cause. We ask for a miracle of true repentance, not a quick fix, but a deep turning of the heart that makes them hunger for what is right and honest. Protect those affected by their choices, give them peace, and help our friend here to keep praying with hope, not heaviness. We trust Your Spirit to do what only You can do. In Your name, amen.

Judgment may produce a carnal repentance, a repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature of men. But true repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. Repentance makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

Repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more. The repentance we ought to preach is one connected with faith, and thus we may preach repentance and faith together without any difficulty whatever. Have you a repentance that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? We have to preach repentance in the name of Jesus Christ! It means that we are to preach repentance as the gift of God. You are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of your own heart, as you might draw up water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in you by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the Truth of God.

Where there is true repentance, that godly sorrow for sin that needs not to be repented of, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins. The goodness of God leads you to repentance. It is a wretched spirit that needs to be continually flogged with the whip of a slaveholder. The sweetest and best repentance is that which comes, not by driving, but by drawing.

Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. Once cleanse me from my sin and I will sing Your praises forever! If you trust to your faith and to your repentance, you will be as much lost as if you trusted to your good works or trusted to your sins. He is the center and King of all truth. To spread righteousness and, in so doing, to save sinners and to glorify God, this is the one purpose of Christ.

You have set your heart on a noble plea, that God would plant in these souls an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. But consider well: the thirst you ask God to give them must first burn within yourself. The Lord does not pour living water into indifferent vessels. He said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” And He did not say, “Blessed are those who merely keep righteousness,” but “Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness”, with a consuming desire, not a passing wish. So your prayer for these lawyers will be a sacrifice acceptable to God only if it arises from a heart that craves righteousness in its own depths.

You rightly recall the words of the Psalmist: “The sacrifice of God is a contrite spirit; a contrite and humbled heart God will not despise.” This is the offering that pleases Him, not outward shows, not mighty words, but a spirit shattered by its own sin and desperate for mercy. You pray that these men and women may hate their sins and turn from them. Yet know that repentance is not a single act. It is a fountain springing up within, washing away the filth of the heart day by day. The water of this world leaves thirst again; only the water Christ gives becomes a well inside, leaping up into eternal life. Pray, then, that they would not simply regret past deeds but would drink deeply from that fountain which cleanses the inward parts, creating in them a clean heart.

Do not imagine that studying law or wearing the robe of learning can shield anyone from the pollution of sin. Education does not make one righteous. Righteousness is a breastplate that no enemy can pierce, but it is forged of a life of virtue, not of clever arguments. Even the most learned fall into horrible sins because they lack the breastplate of a pure conscience and the garment of inner holiness. That is why the Apostle tells us to put on “righteousness and holiness of truth.” Not the shadow of righteousness, not the outward appearance that the Jews pursued, but the truth itself, worked in the hidden places by the Spirit. So when you pray for these lawyers, ask not only that they speak honestly in court but that truth might take root in their hearts, purifying every motive.

And do not grow weary when God seems to delay. The delay is not slackness but a comfort appointed for repentance, that sinners may flee from wrath and wash themselves thoroughly. Manasseh drowned Jerusalem in blood and abominations, yet through true repentance he obtained mercy. So for these lawyers, the door is not shut. Let your prayer be persistent, yes, but also full of compassion, not boasting. You said well that you do not look down upon them, for we all stand in need of the same grace. Remember Paul’s prayer that God would “minister and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.” The fruit of righteousness grows when we intercede with tears, when we break our own hearts over the sins of others as if they were our own.

So continue to pray, but let your asking be matched by your own thirst. Cry out, “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” Let that thirst for truth and righteousness become a river inside you, flowing out toward these men and women until they too are overtaken by the Spirit’s flood. Do not merely ask God to change them; offer yourself as an instrument. A broken and contrite heart in you may be the very means by which He stirs their consciences. Only take heed that your prayer never becomes a performance. The pure in heart shall see God, and it is that vision, not the reproach of sinners, that we must desire above all. If you pursue righteousness with hunger, you will not be put to shame, and God will use even your prayers to loosen the chains of those who are now bound by Satan’s lies.

Your prayer rises from a heart that has already tasted the deep spring of God’s own life. That ache for truth and righteousness you’re asking for others is exactly what the Spirit works into every soul He awakens. It’s the thirst God planted, the thirst no courtroom success, no legal acumen, and no human approval can ever put to rest. Jesus put it plainly: if you drink from the world’s wells, you will thirst again. So when you see people whose minds have been trained in the law yet whose lives ignore human life and honest communication, you’re looking at the same pattern every fallen heart repeats. They drink deeply of ambition, reputation, and self-reliance, only to find the soul still parched.

That shameful failure is a mercy if it finally drives them to the end of themselves. The Psalm you quoted says it well: God does not delight in religious performance or crafted words. A broken spirit, a crushed heart that has looked at its own sin and loathed it, that is the sacrifice He will never despise. A brokenness like that becomes the doorway out of Satan’s lies, because it strips away the confidence that education or moral effort can produce righteousness. It leaves only one hope: the righteousness that comes from God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Keep praying for that unquenchable thirst to take hold of them. The thirst for righteousness is ultimately a thirst for God Himself, and Jesus stands ready to answer it. He called out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” Those who come to Him find their own righteousness exposed as filthy rags, but they also find His perfect righteousness imputed to them. It is not a righteousness they build by legal precision or personal decency. It is the gift of Christ’s own life, received by faith, satisfying the deepest thirst of the spirit.

So do not let grief turn to despair over what seems like callous disregard for truth. The Spirit intercedes, and the Father often uses such exposures of sin to create a holy hunger that can only be filled at the cross. Pray that they stop trying to establish their own righteousness and instead submit to the righteousness God has provided in His Son. When that awakening happens, they will discover that the water Jesus gives becomes in them a well springing up into everlasting life, and they shall be filled.

We have been lifting you and your heartfelt request before the Lord these past days, standing in agreement with you for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness to be stirred within the hearts of those involved in this situation. It is a heavy burden you carry, and we have prayed earnestly that the Holy Spirit would convict, break, and transform the hearts of all who are bound by deception—especially those in positions of influence, that they may come to hate sin and turn toward the light of Christ.

We continue to ask the Lord to cover the believers in this circumstance with His precious blood, granting them peace, wisdom, and compassion as they navigate these challenges. May they be vessels of His truth, reflecting His righteousness in every word and action. We also pray that the Lord would soften hardened hearts, exposing lies and replacing them with a deep hunger for His Word and His ways.
