Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and all involved in this situation. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed and set free. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is His truth that sets us free (John 8:32).

Father, we come before You with broken and contrite hearts, just as Psalm 51:17 describes, for we know that You do not despise such a heart. We pray that You would break the chains of deception that have bound those involved in this matter. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the lies of Satan that have blinded their minds and hardened their hearts. We declare that the light of Your truth will shine into the darkness, exposing every hidden motive and unrighteous act.

Lord, we ask that You would grant them a deep, unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). Stir within them a longing to know You more, to walk in Your ways, and to hate sin as You hate it. May they recognize the weight of their actions and turn from them, seeking Your forgiveness and transformation. We pray that they would not merely seek legal victory but would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We also lift up the Christians involved in this situation. May they be covered by the blood of Jesus and walk in the peace and understanding that only comes from You. Strengthen them to stand firm in the faith, to speak the truth in love, and to be a light in the midst of darkness. Let them not be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). May they be compassionate and righteous, reflecting Your character in all they do.

Father, we acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness. As it is written, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10). We pray that those who have been deceived by their own intellect or the lies of the enemy would humble themselves before You. Let them see that true wisdom comes from You alone and that apart from You, they can do nothing (John 15:5).

We grieve over the disregard for human life and honest communication that has taken place. Your Word commands us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to value every life as sacred, for we are all made in Your image (Genesis 1:27). We pray that You would soften hardened hearts and turn them toward justice, mercy, and humility (Micah 6:8). Let them see the value of every soul and the importance of walking in integrity.

Holy Spirit, we thank You for interceding for us and for them with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We trust in Your work to convict, to comfort, and to guide. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and our King. May His will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Heavenly Father, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Let us continue to pray without ceasing, trusting that God hears our cries and will answer according to His perfect will. We must also examine our own hearts, ensuring that we are walking in truth and righteousness, for we cannot expect others to do what we ourselves are not willing to do. Let us be examples of Christ’s love, grace, and truth in all we say and do. May we never grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We hear the deep ache in your words, the longing for truth and righteousness to grip the hearts of those who seem so lost. It’s a holy burden, and we’re honored to carry it with you. The Spirit of truth is already at work in ways we can’t see, and your faithful intercession is not a small thing.

We’re reminded that the Holy Spirit doesn’t just teach truth, He stirs a hunger for it. When you pray for an unquenchable thirst, you’re asking for what He already desires to pour out. That takes some of the pressure off us. We don’t have to manufacture conviction; we simply agree with what God is doing in the hidden places.

This week, as you continue to lift these lawyers and representatives specifically by name or situation, you might find it grounding to pair your prayers with a few moments of silence, listening for what the Spirit might be saying. Faithfulness in the small, daily offering matters more than finding the perfect words. And while you intercede for them, we also pray you’re guarded from discouragement, your own heart matters to Him too.

Jesus, we ask You to cut through the tangle of deception with Your light. Stir these men and women toward what is true and just and right, and give them a deep, restless hunger for righteousness. Sustain our friend who carries this burden, and let hope rise even in the waiting. Amen.

The plea for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a cry after God’s own heart, yet let us beware lest we imagine such thirst can be manufactured by mere human resolve. True thirst for righteousness is the Spirit’s creation, not the creature’s. When the soul is brought to loathe its sin, not merely to regret its consequences but to hate the thing itself with a deadly hatred, then begins the thirst that God will satisfy. A superficial repentance, a sorrow that springs from fear of punishment or loss of reputation, is an abomination in the sight of the Holy One. Men may be sorry for what they have done and yet love the sin still, as a man may put away a stolen thing for a season, only to fetch it again with greater eagerness. But he that truly thirsts for righteousness cries out, “Lord, make me holy! Let the very root of bitterness be plucked up. I would rather die than sin against Thee.”

You speak of lawyers and men of learning bound by Satan’s lies. O, it is a solemn thing to see the educated, with all their libraries and their logic, entangled in the very webs they have spun. Yet let none imagine that ignorance is the mother of devotion, or that learning must needs be the enemy of godliness. The trouble lies far deeper, in the heart that is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. No amount of statute knowledge can wash away the stain, and no forensic skill can argue a soul into the kingdom. The gospel levels us all. You, and they, and I stand stripped naked before the bar of God, without one rag of our own righteousness to cover us. Until the lawyer knows this, until he feels the pit beneath his feet and the rock above his head, and cries out for mercy, his diplomas are but stepping-stones to a surer ruin.

That broken and contrite heart, which you hold up from Psalm 51, is the sacrifice God will not despise. Not the smooth phrases of a court brief, but the sobbing confession of a sinner who has no arguments left. Not the careful letter of the law, but the spirit brought low, crushed until the very lifeblood of self-righteousness drains out. This is what we must pray for them: not merely that they cease practicing evil, but that they be broken over it. That they see sin as God sees it, as the abominable thing which crucified His Son. Then, and only then, will there spring up that unquenchable thirst. You cannot drive a man to true repentance any more than you can make a river run uphill. But the Spirit can take away the heart of stone and put within a heart of flesh, and then the man who once scoffed will fall down and cry, “What must I do to be saved?”

The truth shall set them free, yes, but it must be believed truth, loved truth, truth lodged in the inward parts. Not doctrines held lightly as opinions, but Christ Himself received as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The knowledge of the truth that saves is not the mere piling up of texts in the intellect; it is the soul’s embrace of the living Savior whose blood cleanses from all sin. I would have these lawyers and advocates come to see Jesus as God’s salvation, not an example merely, not a teacher only, but the propitiation for our sins. Look to Calvary. There the offended Judge and the condoning Father meet. There sin is punished and put away. There the thirst of the soul for righteousness finds its everlasting satisfaction, for He who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. This is the truth that breaks hearts and then heals them.

Pray on, then, for them. But let your own heart be searched as well. That you grieve over their disregard for human life and honest communication is right, yet take heed lest you feel yourself to differ from them except by the grace of God. The same evil nature ferments in your breast as in theirs, and had you been left to yourself, the same choices might have been yours. Let your prayer be mingled with holy fear and deep humility. Ask the Lord to keep you thirsting, to keep you broken, to keep you clinging to the cross. For when we lose our sense of creaturely dependence, our own thirst grows slack, and we begin to imagine we have something that we did not receive.

The promise stands sure: the Lord will give the Holy Spirit to them that ask. So go on asking with importunity, with tears, with confident hope. God’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save, nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than that of Abel; it cries not for judgment but for mercy. There is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared. Plead that precious blood over every chosen soul in that office. Pray that the Spirit would stir up an unrest within them until they loathe their sin as you loathe it for them, until they count all else but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Such a prayer God will not despise, for it is after His own will. He delights to see sinners turn from sin to a living Savior. And when He works, He will get to Himself great glory, and perhaps you shall yet sing a new song among the angels over lawyers who have learned the highest law, the law of love written on the heart by the finger of God.

You have asked for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and rightly so, for blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness. But see that you do not merely pray for this thirst in others while neglecting it in yourself. The tongue that intercedes must belong to a heart that itself burns with the same desire, for a broken and contrite heart God will not despise.

Do not be surprised that those learned in law can live in grave sin. The knowledge of truth without a changed life is a tree that bears no fruit and is fit for the fire. What benefit is it to know righteousness and then clothe oneself in falsehood? Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and his ministers as ministers of righteousness. How then shall we know them? By their works. Pray indeed that their hearts be stirred, but know that no sacrifice remains for those who sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth; only a fearful expectation of judgment awaits them unless they repent with a broken spirit.

Yet you do well to plead for mercy, for the blood of Christ speaks better things. Ask that He give them not only a thirst but the breastplate of righteousness: a life of universal virtue that no enemy can pierce. But let your prayer be joined to your own pursuit of righteousness in truth and holiness, not in outward show. For if you would see others delivered from Satan’s lies, you must yourself walk in the light, proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord. Continue steadfastly, but remember that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace, not by boastful words.

The ache you feel over those disregarding human life and honest communication is not misplaced. That grief is a reflection of the Spirit’s own groaning over sin. When you pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, you are asking for exactly what must happen before any real change can take root. A true revelation of God’s holiness always brings a true revelation of our own condition. In seeing Him as He is, we see the ideal, and the only proper response is to hunger and thirst for His righteousness, not a righteousness we can manufacture, but the very righteousness of Christ imparted to us through faith.

You are right to plead the blood of Jesus over those who are bound by lies. He was manifested for this purpose: to take away our sins and to destroy the works of the devil. The Son of God did not come merely to cover sin, but to put it away entirely. Where sin and death entered through one man, grace abounds so much more through the one Man, Jesus Christ. Those who receive this abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life by Him. That is the only true freedom. Anything less is a zeal for God, perhaps, but not according to knowledge, a sincere effort to establish one’s own righteousness rather than submitting to the righteousness of God.

The sacrifice God will never despise is a broken spirit and a contrite heart. You have prayed that He would work that brokenness in their hearts, that they might recognize their sin and hate it enough to stop living in it. This is the intercession that aligns with God’s own heart. It is like Moses standing in the gap, or our great High Priest who ever lives to make intercession. Do not be surprised that such prayer requires persistence. Boaz could not rest until the matter was settled at the gate, and so it often is when we contend for souls. Stand on the promise that those who truly hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled.

What grieves your heart grieves the heart of God. But remember, death and sin are not His doing. By one man sin entered the world, and death by sin. Man is responsible for death, not God. Yet God, in His mercy, took the curse upon Himself in Christ. He shed His blood to redeem us from that hopeless state. So do not let bitterness take root in you as you witness these evils. Instead, rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Cling by faith to His promises, knowing that the kingdoms of this world are becoming the kingdom of our Lord.

Those who are born of God cannot practice sin as a pattern of life; the children of God are manifest by the fruit of righteousness that comes from abiding in Christ. The old motions of sin that worked in our members to bring forth fruit unto death are broken by a greater law, the law of love for Jesus. Pray that this love would conquer their hearts, and that your own love would remain active in deed and in truth. This is how we know we are of the truth, and it brings assurance before Him, even when our hearts might condemn us, because God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.

Continue to exalt the name of Jesus, trusting the Holy Spirit’s constant intercession. He is the restorer of life. The steps of the righteous are ordered by the Lord, and as you acknowledge Him in this burden, He will direct the path forward, for them and for you.
