Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.

We join with you in this fervent prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for it is written, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). This longing is not of ourselves but a work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We lift up the team at and their legal representatives, recognizing that apart from Christ, all are bound by the deceptions of the enemy, as Scripture warns: "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB).

We declare the power of the blood of Jesus over every believer in this situation, for it is written, "The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin" (1 John 1:7 WEB). We pray that this precious blood would break every chain of deception, pride, and unrighteousness that has taken hold. Father, we ask that You would grant them Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them not be swayed by the wisdom of this world, which is foolishness with You (1 Corinthians 3:19), but instead, let them be transformed by the renewing of their minds, that they may prove what is Your good, well-pleasing, and perfect will (Romans 12:2).

We are grieved, as you are, by the disregard for human life and honest communication that has taken root in this situation. The Lord hates "a lying tongue" and "hands that shed innocent blood" (Proverbs 6:16-17 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of deception, manipulation, and injustice that has influenced these proceedings, for it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We stand on Your promise, Lord, that truth will ultimately prevail, for You are the God of truth (Psalm 31:5).

We acknowledge, as you have, that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness. The apostle Paul wrote, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He has taken the wise in their craftiness.' And again, 'The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless'" (1 Corinthians 3:19-20 WEB). We pray that the hearts of these individuals would be broken and contrite before You, for You do not despise a broken spirit and a contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). Let them see their sin as You see it, Lord, and grant them the gift of repentance, that they may turn from their wicked ways and live (Ezekiel 18:23).

We thank You for Your holiness, which is our standard, and for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are cleansed from sin. We pray that those who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior would come to a saving knowledge of Him, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Father, we ask that You stir within them an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness. Let them not be satisfied with the empty promises of this world but instead seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). We pray that they would be like the Bereans, who "received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11 WEB). Let them be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may walk worthily of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).

We pray that You would raise up godly counsel and wisdom among their legal representatives, that they may act with integrity, justice, and compassion. Let them not be influenced by bribes or unrighteous gain, for "the wicked accepts a bribe in secret, to pervert the ways of justice" (Proverbs 17:23 WEB). Instead, let them be like the righteous judge who fears You and hates covetousness (Exodus 18:21). We ask that You would expose every hidden agenda, every lie, and every unrighteous act, for "nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would grant them the courage to stand for truth, even when it is unpopular or costly. Let them be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who declared, "Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up" (Daniel 3:17-18 WEB). Let them be bold in their witness, knowing that You are with them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

We pray that You would soften the hearts of those who have hardened themselves against You, that they may receive Your mercy and grace. Let them experience the depth of Your love, which is greater than any sin or deception. We ask that You would break every stronghold of pride, self-righteousness, and rebellion, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB). Let them humble themselves before You, that You may exalt them in due time (1 Peter 5:6).

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We ask that You would be glorified in this situation, that Your name would be exalted, and that many would come to know You as a result. Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We read your prayer with a sense of kinship, it’s not easy to watch people in positions of influence disregard truth and the dignity of others. The grief you feel echoes something deep in God’s own heart, and we’re grateful you’re bringing this burden to Him.

What stands out is your closing plea: an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. That isn’t just a noble wish; it’s a desire God loves to plant, and it often begins with someone caring enough to pray it into existence. The broken spirit you referenced in Psalm 51 is exactly the kind of soil He uses, and we join you in asking for that same softening in the hearts of those on your mind.

We’re reminded that the Holy Spirit is indeed interceding, for them and for you, in ways we can’t yet see. While we wait, one thing we can do is let that same thirst deepen in our own lives. It’s when we walk in truth ourselves that our prayers gain a particular strength.

Father, we lift these individuals to You. Stir their consciences, not with fleeting guilt but with the kind of sorrow that leads to real change. It is a blessed thing when the soul begins to thirst for truth and righteousness with a longing that will not be silenced, for such thirst is the first stirring of the Spirit in the heart. You have prayed for an unquenchable thirst to be given to those who are bound by Satan’s lies, and this is a petition after God’s own mind. He has declared, “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Thirst is a pain that cannot be ignored, and it is a mercy when the soul grows desperate for the living water. Yet remember, thirst itself cannot quench thirst. The fainting soul must come to the Fountain, Jesus Christ, the smitten Rock, and drink freely. It is not the depth of their thirst that saves, but the abundance of the water of life. Let your prayers press them toward the cross, where the One who was pierced for transgressors now lives to intercede.

You have pleaded the blood of Jesus over the chosen, and that is the only covering that can give peace. But oh, let us not mistake a superficial sorrow for true repentance. There is a repentance that leaves the heart unchanged, a mere washing and brushing of the old nature, which God abhors. The repentance that needs no repenting of is a godly sorrow that looks upon Him whom we have pierced and mourns bitterly. It is the cry of the publican, “God be merciful to me a sinner,” and the broken, contrite heart that God will not despise. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work this in them, not a transient fright, but a loathing of sin itself, a turning from it with a fixed resolve, because they have seen the foulness of it against a holy God.

You grieve that lawyers and the educated can stoop to horrible sins, but let none who stand think themselves beyond falling. The heart is deceitful above all things, and Christ came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. He died for the ungodly. Not for those who imagine themselves whole, but for the sick, the defiled, the desperate. Tell them, then, that there is a Savior who binds up broken hearts, even harlots’ hearts, even the hearts of those who have disregarded human life and honesty. Fall at His feet, for they were pierced for you. His hands, once nailed to the wood, are stretched out to receive the vilest. I charge you, do not let your prayers grow silent, but labor in supplication, believing that the Lord’s chastening hand is not to kill but to cure. He sends the sharp lancet only out of immutable love.

And for yourself, who tremble for others, be not driven from your confidence. The Lord is good, and his mercy endures forever. Let your heart be fixed, giving praise, for the more faith speaks, the more her lips drop sweet-smelling myrrh. Keep entreating the throne of grace for these souls, knowing that there is joy in heaven over every sinner that repenteth. And if they should ask, “Why did you doubt?” let them answer as those in the boat, “Of a truth you are the Son of God,” and turn wholly from Moab to dwell in Bethlehem. The door of the ark stands wide for the slowest snail and the swiftest hare alike, so long as they come to Christ just as they are. Amen.
