Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at and their legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed from sin. As it is written, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we boldly approach God’s throne through Christ, who intercedes for us (Hebrews 4:16).

We echo your cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for the world is indeed entangled in deception, and even those who should uphold justice can become instruments of unrighteousness. The Scripture warns, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (Isaiah 5:20). We rebuke the lies of Satan that have blinded their hearts and pray that the scales would fall from their eyes, that they may see the truth as it is in Jesus.

Lord, we ask that You convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment by the power of Your Holy Spirit (John 16:8). Break their hearts over their transgressions, for You desire truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6). May they not only recognize their sin but also turn from it with godly sorrow, for "godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, which leaves no regret" (2 Corinthians 7:10). Let them hate sin as You hate it, and may they flee from every form of wickedness.

We plead the blood of Jesus over these individuals, that it would cover them, cleanse them, and protect them from the schemes of the enemy. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion, for "what does the Lord require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8). We pray that they would not only know the law but also the Lawgiver, who writes His statutes upon the hearts of those who love Him (Jeremiah 31:33).

Father, we acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness, for "the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Corinthians 3:19). We humbly ask that You humble the proud and lift up the contrite, for You resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6). Let their hearts be broken and contrite before You, for You will not despise a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17).

We are grieved by the disregard for human life and honest communication, for You have commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) and to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Stir their hearts, Lord, and awaken in them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, for "blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). May they seek You with all their heart, for "those who seek me diligently will find me" (Proverbs 8:17).

We thank You, Holy Spirit, for interceding for us and for them with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, and we declare that Your will be done in this situation, on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Heavenly Father, we pray for these individuals now, that You would:

- Open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word and the deception of the enemy.
- Convict them of sin and lead them to genuine repentance.
- Fill them with an unquenchable thirst for righteousness and a hatred for evil.
- Cover them with the blood of Jesus and protect them from the schemes of Satan.
- Grant them wisdom, discernment, and a heart of compassion.
- Break the chains of deception and set them free by the truth of Your Word.
- Draw them into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if they do not already know Him.
- Use them as instruments of Your justice, mercy, and grace in their spheres of influence.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, and we join you in carrying this burden to the Lord. It is painful to watch people disregard the weight of truth and the sacredness of human life, especially when they have the education and position to know better. Your prayer reveals a heart that refuses to harden, and that itself is a quiet witness to the righteousness you are asking God to stir in them.

We are praying with you that the Holy Spirit would awaken their consciences, not with a guilty dread that drives them further from God, but with a true sight of their own need that leads to a contrite heart. The psalm you recalled is a deep comfort: God does not turn away those who come broken. So keep asking Him to work in their innermost places, where no human argument can reach.

While you pray, we also gently remind each other that lasting change often unfolds slowly. We can keep loving them as people, not projects, and let our own conduct be marked by honesty and compassion. Your refusal to boast or look down on them is a rare grace, hold onto that. It may be the very window through which God's kindness enters their story.

Lord Jesus, we lift these lawyers and legal representatives to You. In Your mercy, replace every lie that binds them with an unquenchable thirst for what is true and just. Break through any numbness, and give them the gift of a heart that hates what is evil and clings to what is good. Guard the requestor from despairing when change seems hidden; fill them with steady hope and love. We entrust these souls entirely into Your patient hands. Amen.

The cry of your heart rises with a holy vehemence, a grief over sin that does honour to the Spirit’s work within you. This unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness you plead for others is no small thing; it is the very beating heart of salvation. Yet mark well this solemn fact: judgments, even when they fall heavily upon the conscience, do not of themselves produce a repentance that gives God glory. Men may be scorched with the heat of affliction and still blaspheme the name of God who has power over those plagues, repenting not to give Him glory. The repentance that is merely of the flesh, wrung out by terror, leaves the soul as bound in Satan’s lies as before.

But here is the sweet truth that answers your prayer: there is a repentance after a godly sort, a broken and contrite heart that God will not despise. It is not the mere sorrow of the educated who find their wisdom cannot keep them from horrible sins; it is that divine work where the Spirit strips a sinner of all self-righteousness, all boasting in the law, and brings him to see the truth of his sinnership. There is no truth in Christ’s salvation for the man in whom there is no truth of acknowledged guilt. When lawyers and their counsels know themselves to be lawless, when the wise confess they are fools before the Holy One, then forgiveness draws near. The truth that sets free is not a cold doctrine but a Person, Christ Jesus, who is Himself the Truth, God’s Salvation manifest.

Do not marvel that those who handle the law can be entangled in great evil. The letter kills; it is the Spirit who gives life. These testing times reveal that the Truth of God’s salvation is a great reality, not a myth for the simple-minded. It operates most powerfully when a man finds all his learning a shattered reed and his casuistry a spider’s web before the fire of divine holiness. The prayer that they might hate their sin enough to cease from it is a prayer born of heaven. Yet know this: God’s forgiveness is not a reluctant trickle but a fountain opened. There is forgiveness with Him, yes, with Him, in His very nature, that He may be feared. The only men who ever truly fear God are those who are forgiven; a holy awe of His righteousness is born in the soul washed in the blood of the Lamb.

The unquenchable thirst you beg for will be satisfied in one place alone: where their eyes, like Simeon’s, see God’s Salvation in the face of Christ. It is not their own reformation, not a new leaf turned, but a looking to Him who was made sin for us that they might become the righteousness of God in Him. I charge you to hold fast to this truth: if a man could be saved by a lie it would be a lying salvation. Truth alone works results that are true. Therefore, cling to the Scriptures themselves, plead the precious blood as the sole ground of pardon, and believe that God can make even the most hardened legal mind to know the truth, and in knowing, to be saved from despair, from sin’s dominion, and from the wrath to come. The Lord’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save. Wrestle on in prayer; the worst sinner is but a stage for the greater glory of His grace.

You pray for others to have an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and this is a noble petition. Yet consider well what such a thirst truly means. The Lord does not drag anyone by force; He calls only those who are inflamed with desire. "If any man thirst," He says, "let him come to Me, and drink." That thirst must be like a parched man gasping for water, not a passing wish but a consuming hunger. You ask God to stir the hearts of these lawyers, but I ask you: does this same thirst burn in you? For blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, not those who simply admire it from afar. If you would intercede for them, see to it that your own soul pants for the living water, lest you become like a tree planted and watered yet bearing no fruit, fit only for the fire.

You mention their sins and ask forgiveness, acknowledging that even the educated can fall into great evil. This is true, and Scripture warns with terrifying clarity: if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation that will devour the adversaries. The fire of hell is unquenchable; it burns like the sun that never ceases. Therefore do not merely pray that they be forgiven, but that they repent, and not with a shallow grief. Esau sought the blessing with tears and found no place of repentance, because his sorrow was not genuine. Tears are not enough unless they spring from a broken and contrite heart that turns from sin and bears fruits worthy of amendment. Pray that they so hate their sins that they flee them as from a burning furnace, and that they put on the breastplate of righteousness, a life of virtue no devil can pierce.

Your prayer quotes the Psalm: the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. Let that be the cry for yourself as well. Do not simply look at the sins of these lawyers and grieve; rather, let that grief drive you to almsgiving, to mercy, to proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord. For almsgiving scatters seed that produces a harvest of righteousness, a spiritual return that endures forever. This is the righteousness that is in truth, not in figure, not the outward washing but the transformation into a new creation in holiness and truth. If you truly desire an unquenchable thirst for righteousness for them, then first be filled with it yourself, that your prayer may rise not from a sense of superiority but from a heart broken and contrite, which God will not despise.

Do not cease to pray, but let your prayer be joined with your own repentance and deeds of compassion. Then will you not only intercede for others but also secure for yourself that blessed promise: "They shall be filled."

I hear the burden in your prayer, and it reflects a deep ache for truth and righteousness that only God can create in a heart. You are pleading for an unquenchable thirst. That is exactly the language Scripture uses when it speaks of hungering and thirsting for righteousness. Yet we must remember that the thirst which truly satisfies is not for a concept but for a Person. Every human being carries a God-shaped emptiness no earthly thing can fill, neither physical pleasures, emotional achievements, nor even educational accolades. Our Lord told the woman at the well that whoever drinks of any earthly source will thirst again. That applies to all of us, including those trained in law. The pride of intellect or professional standing leaves the soul parched if it seeks meaning apart from a living relationship with God.

The good news is that Jesus still cries out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” The water He gives becomes a well within, springing up into eternal life. When you pray for their hearts to be stirred, you are praying in harmony with the Spirit’s own intercession. God often allows a famine of the soul, a deep restlessness or exposure of sin, to drive us to Him. The psalm you quoted goes straight to the core: the Lord does not delight in outward displays or religious form when the heart remains distant. A broken and contrite spirit is the sacrifice He will never despise. That is where genuine righteousness begins, not with our own resolve to be moral, but with a shattered self-reliance that casts itself on God’s mercy.

You are right to avoid boasting or looking down on those who have stumbled. All of us have sinned and fall short. The greatest peril for anyone, especially those well-versed in the law, is to go about trying to establish their own righteousness while remaining ignorant of the righteousness God freely gives through faith in Jesus Christ. The scribes and Pharisees of old knew the law backward and forward, yet they missed the very Righteousness of God standing in front of them. True righteousness is not earned by performance. It is imputed to everyone who believes, apart from any code or credential. As Abraham trusted God and it was credited to him as righteousness, so today any lawyer, any professional, any person who turns from self and rests in Christ is instantly covered in a righteousness that exceeds all human record.

Keep praying that the Spirit will bear witness to the truth in their hearts. That inward seal cuts through every lie of the enemy and awakens a recognition of our desperate need for a Savior. Your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication is a righteous grief, but let it drive you deeper into reliance on the One who alone can change hearts. The promise holds firm: blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That filling is Christ Himself, living within. So continue lifting these people before the throne, trusting that even now the Holy Spirit is stirring that thirst, and that when God’s judgments are in the land, the inhabitants learn righteousness. May the Lord give you His own peace as you entrust these souls to Him.
