Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.

We join with you in this earnest plea for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for we know that only in Christ are these found in their fullness. Jesus Himself declared, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). This hunger is not a fleeting desire but a deep, abiding longing that only the Holy Spirit can ignite and sustain within us.

We lift up the team at and their legal representatives, praying that the scales of deception would fall from their eyes. The enemy seeks to blind minds to the truth of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, declaring that the light of Christ would pierce every darkness. "The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130 WEB). May they not only hear the truth but be transformed by it, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).

We acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness, for "the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Corinthians 3:19 WEB). Even those trained in the law can stray from its true purpose, to uphold justice, mercy, and the sanctity of life. We pray for conviction to fall upon their hearts, that they would recognize sin for what it is and turn from it. "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon" (Isaiah 55:7 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You break their spirits in the way that only You can, gently, yet firmly, so that they would come to You with contrite hearts. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise" (Psalm 51:17 WEB). Let them not be content with mere intellectual assent to truth but be consumed by a passion for holiness. Raise up voices among them who will speak boldly for what is right, even when it is unpopular.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has taken root in this situation. Jesus warned, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves" (Matthew 7:15 WEB). We declare that no lie will stand in the presence of Your truth, Lord. May those who have been complicit in dishonesty and the disregard for human life be confronted by the weight of their actions and led to repentance.

We also pray for the Christians involved, that they would not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). May they be filled with Your peace and wisdom as they navigate these challenges, standing firm in faith even when the world opposes them. "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Equip them with the full armor of God so they may stand unshaken.

Father, we thank You for Your holiness and for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that Your will shall prevail. Stir within us all an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and righteousness, that we may walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called (Ephesians 4:1).

May the hearts of those involved be softened, their minds renewed, and their lives transformed by the power of the gospel. We pray that they would come to know Jesus not just as a historical figure or a moral teacher, but as the risen Lord and Savior who alone can set them free. "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). Let this freedom be their portion, and let Your kingdom come in their midst.

We hear the grief in your words, the heavy weight of watching people in positions of influence disregard what is right and true. It is deeply painful to witness actions that devalue human life and honest communication, especially when those involved hold the kind of training that should lead them toward justice. We carry that sorrow with you.

What strikes us most in your request is the humility running through it. You are not praying from a place of pride or superiority. You are asking God to forgive them, to stir their hearts, to give them an unquenchable thirst for truth. That is the posture God honors, a broken and contrite heart. And you are right that no amount of education or professional standing can produce righteousness on its own. Only a direct work of God on a human heart can create genuine change.

While you continue to pray fervently for them, we would gently encourage you to also release the weight of the outcome to the Lord. You cannot carry the responsibility for whether they turn or not. Your part is to keep lifting them up and to remain free of bitterness yourself. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for people who are entangled in sin is to intercede steadily and then trust God with the results.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this legal team and their representatives. You see every hidden thing, and we ask You to convict them deeply. Give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness this prayer partner is asking for. Guard the hearts of those among them who belong to You. And for this one who is grieving over what they see, we ask for Your peace that surpasses understanding. Sustain them as they keep praying, do not let them grow weary. In Your name we pray. Amen.

You do well to pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for these are the longings of a soul already touched by the finger of God. Yet mark this well: a thirst that is truly divine can never be slaked by the broken cisterns of mere outward reformation, nor by the bitter waters of a repentance wrung from the flesh under terror. The judgments you perceive upon those lawyers and that team, though grievous, will never of themselves produce a repentance that needeth not to be repented of. Were the hail to smite them, and the vials of wrath poured out, they might gnaw their tongues in pain, and still hate the God of heaven. A carnal repentance there is, which confesseth sin because it smarteth under consequence, yet clingeth to the love of sin in its heart. Such a repentance is but a painted coffin, fair without, but full of dead men’s bones.

The repentance that is unto life, the thirst that is unquenchable, must be kindled from on high. It is the gift of God through Jesus Christ our Lord. You cry for the Spirit to stir their hearts, and you cry aright. For true repentance is not a human effort, as though men could pump it from the dry well of their own resolve. It is the work of the blessed Spirit, showing the sinner the exceeding sinfulness of sin in the light of Calvary, and melting the heart with a glimpse of the love that bled and died. That same Sun of Righteousness who rises with healing in His wings must beam into their darkness; else they will see no beauty in holiness and feel no loathing for their iniquity. Pray on then, but remember it is Christ himself who is the center and King of all truth, and no man thirsts for righteousness till first he beholds the Righteous One lifted up.

Yet I charge you, take heed lest your own well-meaning petitions become a snare to your soul. You speak of not boasting before God, and you do well to tremble. But see to it that you cast not a side glance at your own zeal, as though your cries could purchase their redemption. Self-righteousness is a chameleon, taking the color of the very repentance you commend. If you trust to your prayers or your earnestness, you are as much lost as if you trusted to open sin. None but Christ, nothing but his blood and righteousness, can avail for them or for you. The plea of a broken heart is acceptable only because it is united to the Great Sacrifice; a contrite spirit is the work of his own hand, and its acceptance lies not in itself but in Him who gave it. So let your faith rest on the Lamb of God, and plead his name alone.

Go on, then, with your petitions, for the Lord heareth the cry of the humble. The goodness of God which leadeth to repentance is still abroad in the land; his long-suffering with these souls is a call to turn. Who knows but that he may yet work in them that godly sorrow which shall make a rainbow of hope in the tears of penitence? But be content to walk by faith, not by sight. The Lord openest his lips in the preaching of the gospel, and then shall they offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Their tongues, once loosed by pardoning grace, shall sing aloud of his righteousness. Until that day, let your prayer be relentless indeed, not that they might have a thirst manufactured by terror, but that they might drink of the water of life freely, and find that the Sun of Righteousness is himself their all. You who pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness have already begun to taste the heavenly gift. This very longing is the first draught of that living water which Christ promised to the Samaritan woman, water that becomes in the believer a well springing up into everlasting life. Yet hear what the Lord declares: "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink." No one is dragged by compulsion; only those who burn with desire are called. Your prayer for others, especially for those entangled in grievous sins, shows that the Spirit has kindled in you a spark of that divine thirst. But understand that thirst is not a quiet wish. It is the hunger and thirst after righteousness that Christ blesses, a consuming desire that pursues virtue with the same intensity the covetous man pursues gain. You must translate this prayer into a life that proves what is well-pleasing to the Lord.

You cry out for lawyers and representatives who disregard human life and honest communication. You grieve that educated men can fall into horrible sins. Do not be astonished. The Apostle warns that if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation. The tree that has been carefully planted and watered, yet bears no fruit, is pulled up by the roots and handed over to the fire. It is not ignorance that condemns, but a heart hardened against truth already known. This is why you rightly plead for a broken and contrite heart, for such a heart God will not despise. External sacrifices are nothing; the sacrifice acceptable to God is a spirit shattered by the recognition of its own evil. When that brokenness is absent, no learning, no eloquence, no legal skill can shield a soul from the unquenchable flame, which even the devils know to be real, though they tremble.

Yet do not imagine that the prayer alone suffices. The Grace of the Spirit is indeed called fire and water: fire to consume transgressions, water to cleanse and refresh. But those who have tasted this forgiveness and then fall away crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh and put Him to an open shame. To renew such a one again to repentance by the laver is impossible, not because repentance itself is excluded, but because the remedy of baptism cannot be applied a second time. What hope then remains? The same broken heart you invoke. Let your prayer be joined with alms, with fasting, with your own relentless pursuit of righteousness and truth. The fruit of the Spirit must be shown in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, for these are the breastplate that no devil can pierce. When you stand firm in a life of universal virtue, your prayer for others carries weight, because you yourself are not playing the hypocrite.

Therefore, continue to thirst, but drink deeply now from the fountain of Christ. Let that living water so fill you that out of your own belly flow rivers to refresh others. For the comfort you seek for those bound by Satan's lies will come not merely by asking, but by becoming a vessel through which the Spirit convicts and heals. The unquenchable thirst you pray for is itself a sign of the Spirit’s working. Stir it up daily. Look to the judgment seat where no entreaty will avert punishment from those who have not shown forth an upright life, and let that dread quicken your intercession and your own repentance. Godly grief produces repentance leading to salvation, and it is this grief, not worldly sorrow, that works a refreshment like Titus experienced among the Corinthians. Pray that this same refreshment reaches those hardened hearts, so that their inward affection may abound again toward the truth, and that they may escape the fire prepared for the adversaries.

Your prayer carries a cry that Scripture itself calls blessed: a hunger and thirst for righteousness. When you ask for that thirst to be unquenchable, you are reaching toward something God has placed deep within every human soul. The body thirsts for water, the emotions thirst for love and security, but beneath all of that lies a spiritual thirst that was designed for God alone. He is the one who planted it, and only He can satisfy it.

Jesus once met a woman drawing water from a well, and He told her that whoever drinks that water will thirst again. That sentence could be written over every human ambition, every professional success, every pursuit of law or learning that promises fulfillment in itself. There are people who study the law, who shape arguments, who hold great knowledge, and yet still find themselves bound by what is false and dark. Their deep thirst remains, because they are trying to quench a spiritual need with things that were never meant to reach that far. What they truly need is the water that Jesus alone can give, the living water that becomes a spring within, welling up into eternal life.

Your prayer for the team, for the lawyers, for anyone entangled in deceit is a plea for God to awaken that thirst. It is a plea rooted in the truth that no amount of education or self-crafted righteousness can stand before a holy God. The prophets knew this; David understood it when he cried out that God does not delight in sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart. That is the starting point, a spirit broken over sin, a heart that no longer tries to establish its own righteousness. Many strive to be righteous through their own efforts, through meticulous adherence to codes or through a zealous pursuit of what they think is right. But unless that righteousness is received by faith in Jesus Christ, it falls short. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

So when you pray, "Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness," you are actually praying that they would come face to face with the righteousness of God. That they would see themselves as He sees them, and in that revelation, hunger not for a moral improvement but for the very righteousness that God imputes through faith. That thirst drives a person straight to Jesus. There is no other fountain. The righteousness He gives far exceeds any human standard; it is the only righteousness that enters the kingdom of heaven.

Take heart that your prayer is already in step with God’s own purpose. He uses His judgments, His gentle convictions, and the groaning of His Spirit to turn people toward what is true. The Holy Spirit intercedes constantly, bearing witness to the truth and drawing hearts away from lies. Those who are bound may not even recognize how deep their thirst is, but the living God knows how to stir it. Pray with full confidence, because the promise remains: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That filling is not for the self-sufficient, but for the contrite. It comes not through mental assent, but through drinking from Christ Himself.

May the Lord grant that thirst to every person you lifted up, and may He satisfy it with the only water that never fails. Continue to pray with this same humility, knowing that what you desire for them reflects the heart of Jesus, who stands ready to give rivers of living water to anyone who comes to Him.
