Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and all legal representatives who may be entangled in deception and unrighteousness. Your Word declares, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). We stand on this promise, asking that You ignite within them a deep, unshakable longing for truth and holiness.

Lord Jesus, we acknowledge that apart from You, no one can walk in righteousness. "There is no one righteous; no, not one. There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God" (Romans 3:10-11 WEB). Yet, we know that when Your Spirit moves, hearts are transformed. We pray that You would convict them of sin, not to condemn, but to lead them to repentance and life. "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death" (2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB). May they experience the godly sorrow that leads to true change.

We also lift up those among them who are believers, asking that You cover them with Your precious blood and grant them discernment. "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy" (James 3:17 WEB). May they walk in this wisdom, reflecting Your character in all they do.

Father, we recognize that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness. "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Corinthians 3:19 WEB). We pray that You would humble their hearts, breaking any pride that blinds them to their need for You. As Your Word says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB). May they come before You with contrite hearts, ready to receive Your grace.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that may be at work in their midst. "For Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14 WEB). We declare that no lie will stand in the light of Your truth. We pray that You would expose every hidden motive, every unrighteous act, and every compromise with evil. "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17 WEB).

Lord, we grieve with you over the disregard for human life and honest communication. Your Word commands, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13 WEB) and "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor" (Ephesians 4:25 WEB). We pray that You would stir their consciences and turn their hearts toward justice, mercy, and truth.

We thank You, Holy Spirit, for interceding on behalf of Your children. "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered" (Romans 8:26 WEB). We trust in Your perfect work, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Heavenly Father, we exalt Your name and surrender this situation into Your hands. May Your will be done in the lives of these individuals, that they may come to know You, walk in Your ways, and glorify Your name. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.

Your heartache comes through clearly, and we can see how deeply you long for these people to be set free from the lies that entangle them. It is painful to watch others treat human lives and honest communication as cheap, and to grieve that even those trained in the law can fall into such darkness. You are not just reciting words; you are carrying a real burden. That kind of sustained, unquenchable prayer is a gift, and we believe it matters.

While we cannot force anyone’s conscience, we can hold steady confidence that the One who searches every heart is fully able to stir even the most calloused. The thirst for truth you are asking for is exactly what the Spirit awakens in a person, often through the faithful, persistent prayers of someone who refuses to give up. So please do not grow weary. Your prayer is not bouncing off the ceiling; it is reaching the ears of a God who delights to take what looks hopeless and bring about deep, honest change.

One small encouragement: as you continue to pray, you might also ask God to show you any concrete, life-giving word or act of integrity you can offer in your own corner of the situation. Not a grand gesture, just something true. Sometimes that quiet steadiness becomes a witness that makes the lie harder to maintain.

Lord Jesus, we lift up the people on this person’s heart. We ask you to convict and draw them, not with shame that crushes, but with a sorrow that leads to life. Give them a thirst for what is real and righteous. Guard those who already know you; strengthen them to walk in truth and compassion. Grant your child peace as they trust you with this work, in your name, amen.

You have pleaded for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness in those very lawyers and legal minds who are now bound in Satan’s lies. What a noble cry! It is after God’s own heart, for He desireth that men should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Yet mark this: the truth which saves is not the cold logic of the courtroom but the living, warm, personal Truth, even Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness. He alone can break the chains of sin and make the soul thirst for holiness.

Think not that the educated or the great in law are nearer to God because of their learning. The Scripture saith, “Whoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” It is not by statutes nor by the wisdom of this world that a man is justified, but by faith in the blood of the Lamb. These lawyers, like all of us, must come down to the sinner’s place and own that they have no righteousness of their own. A broken and a contrite heart is the sacrifice acceptable to God; He doth not despise that. And how shall a heart be broken? Only by a sight of the real Atonement, the real Fall, the real salvation which is Christ Himself. Pray on, then, that the Holy Ghost may strip them of all self, righteousness and bring them to look unto Him and live.

Salvation is God’s own work, His own truth, and it is given without money and without price. Tell these poor, sin, bound souls that there is a fountain filled with blood, and let them plunge into it. Let them not seek to mend their ways by law, but let them flee to Him who is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. If they will but trust Christ, His perfect obedience shall be their robe, and His death their cleansing. That is God’s salvation, free, irreversible, and full of truth. Then shall they rejoice not in their own advocacy, but in Thy salvation, O Lord.

I urge you, continue in this prayer with weeping and supplication. The arm that saved you is not shortened. O for a mighty working of the Spirit to give them an unquenchable thirst! For they will never rest until they drink of the water of life freely, until they see Christ as their all. And when that thirst is given, they shall be led to the Rock of Ages, and their souls shall be satisfied. The truth shall set them free indeed, for whom the Son makes free is free for ever. Let your faith lay hold upon this; take this petition again to the mercy seat, for the Lord waiteth to be gracious.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire for truth and righteousness must consume the soul as thirst consumes a man in a dry land. They who come to the divine preaching and give heed to the faith must manifest the desire of thirsty men for water, and kindle in themselves a similar longing. If any man thirst, let him come to Christ and drink. He draws no one by necessity and constraint, but if any has great zeal, if any is inflamed with desire, him He calls. That thirst for righteousness is blessed indeed, for Christ did not say simply to keep fast by righteousness, but to hunger and thirst after it, that we may pursue it with all desire.

Yet see the dreadful state of those who hold down the truth in unrighteousness. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress what is true by their wickedness. Even those who studied law engage themselves in horrible sins, and we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously. Instruction alone does not make one just. The righteousness that God requires is not a figure or a mere outward form, but righteousness and holiness of truth, a life of universal virtue. Such a life is like a breastplate impenetrable.

There remains a firm hope. God does not take away repentance, nor the propitiation through repentance, nor does He thrust down the fallen with despair. He is not an enemy of our salvation. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit and a contrite heart, this He will not despise. Those who are Christ's are created anew in righteousness and holiness of truth, not of water only, but of the Spirit. For them, faith holds salvation in a few short words: confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, and you shall be saved. This short word carries with it not salvation only, but also righteousness.

But if they insolently scorn the gifts, then the penalties await. The sword shall devour the disobedient. Let them therefore be warned with all gentleness and fear. Stir up their hearts indeed, that they recognize their sins and hate them enough to depart from them. For the chastisement that comes now is for correction, but what comes after is vengeance. Pray then that this thirst for truth seize them with holy violence, that they may drink deeply of the living water which alone can satisfy, and so find mercy through the one sacrifice of Christ, who has perfected forever them that are being sanctified.

Your prayer reaches deep into what the Spirit is already doing, stirring a longing for truth and righteousness that does not originate in us but in God Himself. That unquenchable thirst you describe is the very thing Jesus spoke of when He stood and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” He was not talking about a physical need or even an emotional ache, but about the spiritual thirst every man and woman carries, the thirst for a true, living relationship with God. So when you ask for that thirst to be given to those lawyers and the team, you are really asking for the gospel to do its work. Their hearts, no matter how bound by lies, are parched for the living God, and only Jesus can satisfy that.

What grieves you over their disregard for human life and honest communication is a reflection of God’s own character. And yet we must be careful not to put blame on God for the evil people choose. The world is full of horrors and injustices, but God is not their source. He made provision for reconciliation from the very beginning. On the cross, mercy and truth met together; righteousness and peace kissed each other. God, in His perfect justice, cannot simply overlook sin. The penalty must be paid. Yet in His mercy, He sent His Son to become sin for us, who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. Jesus drank the cup of God’s wrath for every act of deceit, every abuse of power, every sin committed by those lawyers or anyone else, so that whoever believes in Him would not have to pay that penalty themselves. Justice is served, and mercy flows freely.

This is why your prayer for their forgiveness and for a broken spirit aligns with the heart of God. Psalm 51 tells us that the sacrifice God will not despise is a broken and contrite heart. You are not asking for religious performance or empty sacrifice; you are asking for the very thing that opens the door to salvation. The educated, like the uneducated, cannot stand before God on the basis of their own righteousness. Many have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. They go about trying to establish their own righteousness, ignorant of the righteousness God provides in Christ. Education and law degrees do not exempt anyone from that trap. They may think their case is special, or that the rules do not fully apply to them. But the mirror of God’s word shows the truth, and those who hear and do not do the word are like a person who sees his own face and then immediately forgets what he looks like.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst is, in a sense, a prayer that the Spirit would remove their masks. Behind every sophisticated argument and every falsehood lies a great thirst and a deep need for God. People try to fill it with influence, success, or intellectual pride, but those are waters that only make them thirst again. Only Jesus gives living water that will become a well springing up into eternal life. He satisfies the thirst for righteousness, because He is our righteousness. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That filling does not come by our own efforts but by receiving the gift of Christ’s righteousness through faith.

So do not stop praying. But also remember that the call goes out with urgency: now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. God’s grace has appeared, bringing salvation to all people. He is patient, not willing that any should perish, but there comes a moment when a final appeal is made. Those lawyers and that team will not escape judgment by their credentials, but they can escape the wrath of God by fleeing to Jesus. Pray that the Spirit will convince them of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, until they can no longer hold the truth in unrighteousness. And pray too that your own life and your own thirst for righteousness would create thirst in others. You are salt and light, and a life that hungers after God cannot help but point others to the source.

Let your heart not grow dim or cynical. The same grace that reached you can reach them. God’s salvation is near to those who fear Him. Righteousness looks down from heaven, and truth will spring up from the earth. The prayers of a broken and contrite heart are precious in His sight, and the Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. May God grant them, and you, a fresh and unquenchable thirst for Jesus Christ Himself, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
