I would really appreciate your prayers at this time. I've previously been in 2 domestic violence relationships and still worry from time to time that it will happen again. I would love to meet someone who shares my love of christ. Please pray for me . In Jesus name..

We are deeply moved by your honesty and thank you for sharing your heart with us and for coming in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find healing and hope. We grieve that you have endured two domestic violence relationships, and we want you to know that such violence is sin and is never God's will for marriage or for any relationship. God calls husbands to love their wives even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, and to honor their wives as heirs together of the grace of life 1 Peter 3:7. What was done to you was wrong, and the Lord sees your pain and your courage.

We understand the lingering worry that it could happen again, and we want to remind you that God does not want you to live in fear. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and He draws especially close to those who have been wounded. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that you will continue to allow Him to heal those deep places, and we encourage you to remain rooted in a healthy local church family where wise and godly counsel, accountability, and protection can surround you as you heal. If the worry becomes heavy, we encourage you to seek continued pastoral and trusted Christian counseling support so you are not carrying this alone.

We also hear your desire to meet someone who shares your love for Christ, and we rejoice with you in that godly desire. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray for a godly marriage for you in the Lord's perfect timing rather than a casual partnership. We encourage you to view any future courtship as intentional with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, for we are told don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. A relationship that honors God will be marked by patience, kindness, purity, and self-control, keeping itself from fornication and honoring God with both body and spirit, and a godly man will cherish, protect, and lead with gentleness, not control or harm.

As you wait, we encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. Waiting is not wasted time, it is a time for the Lord to strengthen you, to grow your discernment, and to teach you to recognize the character that reflects Christ. We pray you will be given wisdom to see clear signs of a transformed heart and to set healthy biblical boundaries early, and that you will not feel pressured to rush into a relationship before healing and peace have taken deeper root.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this precious daughter to You. We thank You that You know her by name, You have seen every tear and every wound, and You love her with an everlasting love. We ask You to pour out Your healing upon her heart and mind, to bind up every wound left by violence, and to replace fear and worry with Your perfect peace. We ask that in nothing she would be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, her requests would be made known to You, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard her heart and her thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Strengthen her, uphold her with Your righteous right hand, for You have said don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10. Help her to walk in power, love, and a sound mind, discerning what is good and pleasing to You. If it is Your will, in Your perfect timing, bring into her life a godly man who loves You first, who will love her as Christ loves the church, who will honor her, protect her, and walk with her in purity and faith toward a lifelong marriage covenant that glorifies You. Until then, keep her close to You, surround her with godly community, and let her rest in Your promise that You know the thoughts that You think toward her, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give her hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily, to stay in His Word, and to wait with hope. Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the Lord Psalm 27:14. He is faithful and He will lead you step by step.

Thank you for trusting us with this part of your story. Having been through two abusive relationships, it makes sense that worry would still surface at times, and that you would long for something very different going forward, a relationship centered on Christ, marked by safety and respect.

We are praying with you for healing from what you have been through and for wisdom as you look ahead. Moving at a pace that feels safe matters. Many who have experienced harm find it helpful to keep walking with a few steady, trusted people while that healing continues, a mature believer, a pastor, or a Christian counselor you trust, not because something is wrong with you, but because having wise community around you can help you notice healthy patterns, practice clear boundaries, and feel less alone when worries come up.

As you think about meeting someone in the future, we join you in praying that God would bring friendships and community around you first where you are known and encouraged in your faith, and that if He leads you toward a relationship, it would be with someone who truly shares your love for Christ and treats you with dignity and care. Take your time, and let people show who they are consistently over time in community.

Father, we lift our sister to You. You see what she has carried and the worries that still visit her. Bring her deep peace, surround her with safe and faithful people, and guide her steps. Heal what has been wounded and give her clear wisdom and discernment for any future relationship. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been read with much tenderness of heart, and with earnest prayer to the Lord on your behalf. To have known the sorrow of two homes where violence dwelt is a deep wound, and it is no wonder that fear should still at times rise up within you. At the same time your desire to know one who loves Christ and walks with Him is a good and holy desire, and we bring it before the throne of grace with you.

There is a fear with which a Christian has nothing to do, the fear of the slave who dreads the taskmaster. You have been delivered from that spirit of bondage, and you need not live under its lash. There is another fear, a filial fear, like the child's fear of his father, which is a reverent love that keeps close to the Lord. In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children shall have a place of refuge. There is always a Mercy Seat for you to go to, there is always the bosom of Christ for you to fly to. The fear of the Lord does not drive you from Him, it draws you nearer to Him. Hear how the Lord speaks to the trembling heart, Fear not, I am with thee, I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. He knows your frame, that you are as a worm and no strength of your own, yet He bids you not to fear because He Himself will be your helper and keeper.

You have tasted bitter things, and some wounds of the heart are not easily healed, yet the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. Not a word that ever fell from His lips but bears healing for some one of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity. As you look to Him, trust Him to purge what is sore and to pour healing streams down upon you. He can make the anxious heart to rest, and He can so change the draught of your sorrow that it shall become healing to you. The Lord has promised, I will put my fear in their heart, and they shall not depart from me, and again, The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, He shall preserve thy soul.

Concerning your desire for companionship, we pray that the Lord will keep you and guide you with clear eyes and a guarded heart. A godly character is a precious thing, and much of your influence for good will depend upon it. Christian association is of great value in keeping us from sin and from unwise steps. Walk much with warm hearted Christians, seek counsel of mature and faithful believers in your own church, let your life be set among those who love the Word and who will speak truth to you in love. Do not be hasty, but set your heart first upon finding Christ Himself each day, seeking Him in the Scriptures, in prayer, and in the fellowship of His people. Short prayers fly up all day long from truly devout souls, and the Lord loves importunate prayer that will not be denied. Bring this matter often to Him, not by clock or calendar, but as a child speaks to a Father at all times.

We pray that the Lord will keep you from all harm, quiet the lingering fear with His perfect love, and heal what has been bruised. We ask Him to give you wisdom to discern character, patience to wait upon His providence, and contentment in His present care for you. If it be His will to bring into your life a godly man who loves Christ above all, who will cherish you as Christ loves the Church, and who will walk with you in the lifelong covenant of marriage as God ordained it for one man and one woman, we pray He will make that way plain in His own time and keep you pure and kept from sin until then. And if He calls you to wait, we pray He will make His own presence so sweet to you that you shall have strong confidence even while you wait.

We commit you to Him now, asking that He will save you from the reproach of those who would harm you, send help from heaven as He did for David, and preserve you from the wounds of cruel words and deeds. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, and may you know more and more that to fear Him is to find refuge, healing, and hope. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I have heard your request and I am praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is understandable that after enduring two relationships marked by violence you would still carry worry that it could happen again. The Lord sees what you have suffered and He is near to the brokenhearted. Scripture says the Lord is close to those who are crushed in spirit and He has not given His children a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. My prayer is that He will bring deep healing to the wounds that remain, quiet the fear that rises up at times, and fill you with His perfect peace and with a confident trust in His protection and care.

I also join you in praying for your desire to meet someone who shares your love for Christ. That is a good and godly desire. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, where love is faithful, self giving and rooted in Christ, and where intimacy and shared life belong together within that covenant. I am praying that if it is His will, He will in His perfect timing bring into your life a faithful follower of Jesus who will love you with gentleness, respect and godly fear, and that any future relationship would be marked by holiness, honesty and safety.

I pray for you now:

Father in heaven, I lift up this dear one to You through Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the pain of the past and the worry that still lingers. Bring healing to every hurt, calm every anxious thought, and teach this heart to rest in Your steadfast love and faithful care. Guard and protect, surround with wise and caring community, and give discernment to recognize godly character. Lead step by step, and if it is Your will, provide a spouse who loves You above all and who will walk faithfully according to Your design for marriage. Help this life to be lived with reverence for You, looking to You alone for salvation and hope. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Please continue to walk closely with the Lord, remain in fellowship with other believers, and seek the support of trusted pastors or counselors who can walk with you in wisdom and care. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted person or to local help in your area. You are not alone, and God is faithful to be your stronghold and refuge.

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. The pain of what you have been through is real, and the worry that it could happen again is understandable. God sees what you have suffered and He cares deeply for you. I am praying for you in Jesus name.

What has helped me most when thinking about relationships is remembering that our relationship with God is the center around which everything else turns. When that vertical relationship is not right, our relationships with other people will not be right either. But when our relationship with God is made right and kept right, it brings balance to every other part of life. That does not mean everything becomes perfect at once, but it means we have a true foundation to build on.

God does not want a distant, formal or ritual connection with you where you try to earn His favor. He invites you into a close, loving relationship as your Father through Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus alone that our sins are forgiven and we are brought near to God, and it is through His love that we learn what love truly is. When we live close to Him, experiencing His love for us and learning to love Him in return, that love begins to heal our hearts and change how we see ourselves and others.

Our relationship with God also shapes every other relationship we have. It helps us defeat fear and the lies of the enemy, it helps us understand that all we have belongs to God and is entrusted to us, and it teaches us how to relate to other people with wisdom and love. Fruit in our lives is not produced by straining harder, it is the natural result of staying close to Jesus. As that loving connection with Him grows, the ability to walk in love, to show compassion, to be courteous, and to not return evil for evil begins to grow as well.

It is easy to put all of our energy into trying to fix one relationship, especially when we long for companionship, and in doing so to neglect the most important relationship. But when we seek first to deepen our communion with the Father, He brings healing to our wounds, restores our sense of worth, and gives us discernment. That discernment is so important after being hurt, because it helps us recognize what is healthy and what is not, and to make choices that honor God and protect the heart He is healing.

Your desire to meet someone who shares your love for Christ is a good and right desire. God's design for marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with love and intimacy belonging within that covenant, and a Christ centered marriage can be a beautiful reflection of His love. My prayer for you is not that you would rush to fill a loneliness, but that God would first draw you into a deeper and more secure experience of His own love, and that out of that fullness He would give you wisdom and peace about the future.

I am praying that the Lord will heal the places where you have been wounded, quiet the fear that rises up at times with His perfect love, and surround you with wise and caring people who can support you in person as you continue to heal. If you are carrying fear or feeling unsafe, please reach out to a trusted pastor or counselor and to safe people around you for ongoing help and protection. I am asking that Jesus would make His presence and His love for you more real to you each day, that you would know yourself as His beloved child, and that He would lead you step by step. And if it is His will for you to marry, I pray He will in His timing bring a man who genuinely loves Jesus and will love you with patience, kindness and respect, as Christ loves His people.

May the Lord keep you, comfort you, and guide you as you walk close to Him.
