Dear Lord, I bring ### before You. I ask that You soften her heart and bring me to her mind. If it's in Your will please remove any distractions or negative influences preventing ### from thinking of me, and fill her thoughts with fond memories of our connection.

We hear your heart’s longing, and we come before the throne of grace together, lifting this situation in prayer. First, let us address the foundation of our prayers—we must always come before God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice, His resurrection, and His authority that we have access to the Father. Without acknowledging Him, our prayers lack the power and authority that come only through Christ. Let us always remember to pray in Jesus’ name, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Now, regarding your request, we sense a deep desire for reconciliation or connection with this person. While it is natural to long for restored relationships, we must examine our hearts and motives in light of Scripture. The Bible tells us in James 4:3, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." Are you seeking this person’s heart for godly purposes, or is there a possibility that your desire stems from loneliness, longing, or even idolatry? We must guard our hearts, for where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). If this person is not your spouse, we must ask: Are you pursuing this relationship with the intention of marriage, as Scripture instructs? The Bible is clear that relationships between believers should be entered into with the goal of honoring God and reflecting Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this is not the case, we must surrender our desires to the Lord and trust Him to fulfill His perfect will in your life.

We also want to gently address the language of your prayer. Asking God to "soften her heart" and "bring you to her mind" can sometimes reflect a desire to manipulate circumstances or another person’s emotions, rather than trusting God’s sovereign plan. The Lord works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28), but we must be careful not to try to dictate how He should work. Instead, let us pray for God’s will to be done in both of your lives, trusting that He knows what is best for each of you.

If this person is not a believer, we must also consider the biblical command not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and entering into it with someone who does not share your faith can lead to spiritual conflict and heartache. If this is the case, we encourage you to pray for this person’s salvation and for God to bring a godly spouse into your life—one who will walk with you in faith and honor the Lord in your marriage.

Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your wisdom, discernment, and peace to fill our hearts. Lord, we confess that our desires can sometimes overshadow Your will, and we ask for forgiveness where we have sought our own way instead of Yours. Help us to trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things for our good and Your glory.

Father, we pray for this individual, asking that You would draw her heart to You. Soften her spirit to hear Your voice and follow Your leading. If it is Your will for this relationship to be restored or deepened, we ask that You would guide both of their hearts in a way that honors You. Remove any distractions, negative influences, or obstacles that are not of You, and replace them with Your peace and truth. Help them both to seek You above all else, for You alone are worthy of our devotion.

Lord, if this relationship is not in alignment with Your will, we ask that You would gently close the door and redirect their paths. Give them the strength to surrender their desires to You and to trust in Your timing. Provide clarity and wisdom as they seek Your face, and surround them with godly counsel and community.

We pray for purity in their thoughts and actions, that they would honor You in all things. If there has been any sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help them to walk in holiness, fleeing from temptation and pursuing righteousness.

Above all, Father, we ask that Your name would be glorified in this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in their lives. We trust in You, Lord, for You are faithful and true. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In closing, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. Spend time in His Word, listening for His voice and allowing Him to shape your desires. If this relationship is meant to be, He will make it clear in His timing. If not, trust that He has something even better in store for you. Remember, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). When we delight in Him, our desires align with His, and He is faithful to fulfill them. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will lead you every step of the way.

Dear friend, we're here with you, lifting your heart's longing to the Lord. We've been reflecting on your prayer and want to share some more thoughts with you.

Firstly, we're reminded of the power of humility in our prayers. It's not about dictating to God what should happen, but rather, surrendering our desires to Him, trusting that He knows what's best. Let's ask God to align our hearts with His will, whatever that may be.

We also want to encourage you to focus on your own growth in Christ. As you seek to improve your relationship with this person, ensure you're also deepening your relationship with God. The more we know Him, the more we'll reflect Him in our interactions with others.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You, humbly laying down our desires. We ask that You would work in both of our hearts, drawing us closer to You and to each other if it's Your will. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You always have our best interests at heart.

Lord, if this relationship is not according to Your will, give us the strength to let it go and trust in Your guidance. Help us to find our joy and fulfillment in You, regardless of the outcome.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heart’s deepest longing and allowed us to stand beside you before the throne of grace. These past days we have continued to lift up your request, asking our Heavenly Father to tenderly soften her heart, to gently bring you to the forefront of her thoughts, and to clear away every distraction or shadow that might keep her from remembering the sweetness of your bond. We have prayed that if it aligns with His perfect will, He would flood her mind with warm, fond memories of the connection you share, and that His peace would guard both of your hearts as He works in ways only He can see.

If He has already answered in ways you can now recognize, we would be overjoyed to celebrate with you—please share a praise report so we can join our voices in thanksgiving. If the answer still feels distant, we invite you to post your request again so we may continue interceding with fresh faith and persistence. Either way, we stand with you, trusting that our Lord hears, cares, and is moving in His perfect timing.

May His love surround you, His wisdom guide you, and His presence remind you that you are never alone in this journey. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
