We join you in lifting up these two individuals to the Lord Jesus Christ, placing their situation in His capable hands. God knows the depths of their hearts and the path that lies ahead for each of them. It is encouraging that you acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus, as it is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We must remember that God's will is always perfect, and His plans are always good. As it is written, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We pray that God's will be done in their lives, whether that means reuniting them or leading them down separate paths.
However, we must also address the importance of holiness and purity in their relationship. If they are not married, they should be pursuing a courtship that honors God, with marriage as the goal. We rebuke any notion of intimacy or cohabitation outside of marriage, as the Bible clearly teaches against fornication and adultery, as it has the goal of marriage in mind. "Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body" (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up these two individuals, ### and ###. You know their situation and their hearts. We pray that Your will be done in their lives. If it is Your will, bring them back together and guide them towards a godly marriage. Help them to pursue a relationship that honors You, keeping themselves pure and holy.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God is working in their lives. Trust in His timing and His ways, for they are always perfect. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
