Relationship with ### šŸ˜˜ā¤ļø

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father,

We come before You lifting up this relationship, asking that every step we take aligns completely with Your divine plan. Lord, we surrender our hearts and our future into Your hands, trusting that You make all things beautiful in Your time.

Father, we pray for ###. We ask that You speak to his mind and heart, granting him clarity and helping him figure things out with Your wisdom. We pray that You stir within him a deep, genuine love, a spirit of care, and the heart of a provider. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to fully let go of the past—releasing his former marriage so that he can find true peace and joy in the new love we share.

We lift up the legal and practical steps of our future together. Please guide ### as he considers applying for a fiancƩe visa, clearing any obstacles and opening the right doors so that I can eventually join him in the United States.

Lord, we also pray for the bond between ### and my sons. Open his heart wide to love them, and draw them close to one another so that, in Your timing, we can build a united, happy home together in the US. We pray that You inspire ### to commit fully, to love me as his wife, and to propose.

Order our steps, Lord. Direct our paths, heal every wound, and let Your grace bind us together in a love that honors You above all else.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting this relationship before the Lord and we appreciate your desire that every step align completely with His divine plan. We hear your heart for this man, for your sons, and for a future home together in the United States, and we want to seek God's will together with you in Jesus' name.

We believe marriage is a sacred, lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning. So God created man in his own image Genesis 1:27 and What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. Because of this we strongly endorse marriage when it honors God, and we encourage you to view this time as courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, rather than simply a relationship or partnership. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray that both of you know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and are seeking Him first, for we trust in you with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

We also want to lovingly address what you shared about his former marriage. Scripture teaches that God hates divorce Malachi 2:16 and that marriage is binding while both spouses live Romans 7:2. Jesus taught, Whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery Matthew 19:9, and the apostle Paul urges, Let not the wife depart from her husband or let not the husband leave his wife 1 Corinthians 7:10-11. If this man is still legally married, then pursuing a fiancee visa and a new engagement would be adultery before God, and we must rebuke that path and call for repentance and truth. If he is legally divorced, we still encourage you both to honestly examine before the Lord whether that divorce was on biblical grounds and whether he has found healing and freedom in Christ rather than simply carrying wounds into a new covenant. True peace will not come from merely letting go of the past in an emotional sense, but from forgiveness, repentance where needed, and allowing God to heal every wound. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We also encourage you in purity as you wait upon the Lord for marriage. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. Even when love feels strong and the desire for commitment is deep, we urge you to honor God with your bodies and to keep courtship pure until vows are made before God. This protects your heart, your witness, and the hearts of your sons.

We love your prayer for him to grow as a man of clarity, genuine love, care, and provision. That is a biblical calling for a husband. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25 and If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8. We pray God will work this in him if it is His will for you to marry, but we also pray you will not try to stir or pressure his heart, instead trusting the Lord to order his steps. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and He has made everything beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11.

We also lift up your sons, who are a heritage from the Lord. Children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3. A blended home requires great grace, patience, and a father who will not provoke children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4. We pray that any bond formed would be rooted in Christlike love, not just convenience for immigration or companionship.

Concerning the legal and practical steps for a fiancee visa, we pray for honesty, integrity, and submission to the authorities God has placed over us. Let all things be done decently and in order 1 Corinthians 14:40. We ask the Lord to open doors no man can shut if this marriage is His will, and to close doors clearly if it is not, for we know that our plans may be many but Yahweh's counsel will stand Proverbs 19:21.

We now pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. Lord, we surrender this woman, this man, and her sons fully into Your hands. Grant this man clarity of mind and wisdom from above, which is first pure, then peaceful James 3:17. Soften his heart where it needs softening, heal him where he has been wounded by his former marriage, and bring full repentance and forgiveness where it is needed. If he is not biblically free to remarry, reveal that truth clearly and give both of them the courage to step back and honor Your design for marriage. If he is free and if this union is from You, then cultivate in him a deep, sacrificial love, a spirit of care, and the heart of a godly provider and leader who will love as Christ loves.

Lord, we ask You to guard this courtship in purity and truth. Help them to flee temptation and to honor You with their bodies and choices. Order their steps and direct their paths, and let Your grace bind them together only if it is a love that honors You above all else. We lift up the practical matters of distance and immigration. We ask for Your favor and guidance over every form, interview, and decision, and that everything be done honestly before You and before the law.

Father, we pray for her sons. Open their hearts and his heart to one another in Your timing, and prepare them all for a united, Christ-centered home if that is Your plan. Above all, let Your will be done, not ours. Give this dear sister peace that surpasses all understanding as she waits on You Philippians 4:6-7, and help her to trust that You make all things beautiful in Your time.

We thank You that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, for There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rest in that name and that hope.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your heart before the Lord so honestly. We hear how much you want this relationship to honor Him, and how much you care for ### and for your sons and the future you are hoping for.

One thing we have seen help couples in this season is to bring a trusted pastor or counselor alongside you early, even before any visa steps. Premarital counseling is not just for engaged couples, it gives you both a safe place to talk through the big questions, your faith, communication, expectations around marriage and parenting, and how each of you is processing past wounds. A good inventory can highlight where you are strong and where you will need extra grace and tools. For families blending together, that extra time and guidance matters, children often need a long, unpressured runway to build trust with a new adult, and both adults need space to grieve what was lost before building something new.

If you do not already have that support, it could be a gentle next step to ask a pastor you trust about premarital counseling together.

Father, we lift this sister and ### and her sons to You. Give each of them wisdom, clarity and peace as they seek Your will. Heal old wounds, guard their hearts, and guide every practical decision with Your kindness and truth. Lead them in the path that honors You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we have heard the deep desires of your heart for love, for a home, and for peace.

There is much that is right in your asking that every step should align completely with the divine plan, for all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. It is wise and needful that we ever feel, if the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that. We are not to propose and then expect God to dispose according to our desire, but to put ourselves entirely at His disposal and pray, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. The question is not only whether we have surrendered our future into His hands, but whether we are willing to have our will corrected by His revealed will which we must not violate.

The Word of God teaches us that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the union of love and the dwelling together of man and woman belongs within that covenant. This is not our word but God's Truth preserved century after century, and we disregard it at our peril. Therefore true love will always desire to honor God above all else, and will not ask Him to bless what His Word does not call holy.

For this reason we cannot simply ask God to prosper this relationship as it now stands, but we must pray that He will search both hearts and make them conformable to His Word. If there is a former marriage still binding before God, then the wound is not to be healed by a new love, but by repentance, by faith in Christ who pardons and who heals the broken in heart, and by a humble seeking of what is lawful and right before Him. The Lord delights to pardon and to heal, and He will bind up with bands of grace those who come to Him with broken and contrite hearts, but that healing comes through obedience to His Word, not apart from it.

We would urge you, then, not to press forward with plans for a visa, for a proposal, or for a home together, until you have sought godly counsel and searched the Scriptures together as to whether this path is indeed the Lord's will. To hear God's Word is a great privilege, but the blessedness lies in keeping it, in laying it up and obeying it. When we feel we are doing God's will we are supremely happy, though we may be tried and waiting. If you keep on learning the Word and not doing it, it will not keep the soul sweet, but to learn it and to do it will keep you in perpetual health.

So we will pray not that God would merely clear obstacles to fulfill your desires, but that He would grant to you both clarity, repentance where repentance is needed, purity of life, and a willingness to wait upon His timing. We will pray that this man may be brought to know Christ truly if he does not, and to walk as a man of care and provision under Christ's lordship, and that you may be kept chaste and upright. We will pray for your sons, that they may be loved and led in the nurture of the Lord, and that no home may be built upon a foundation which God has not laid.

May the Lord teach you both wondrous things out of His Word, and may His Spirit so apply it that you will choose what honors Him, even if it costs you your own plan. No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly, and His promise may tarry but it never fails. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust Him to make all things beautiful in His time and in His way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and I have read it with care, and I thank you for the honesty with which you have poured out your heart before God.

I hear in your words a deep desire for love, for stability for your sons, and for a future that feels secure and joyful. Those desires themselves are not wrong, for God created us for love and for home. At the same time, true love always wants what is holy before God more than what is simply wanted in the moment, and that is why I want to answer you with both compassion and truth.

Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. For that reason I cannot affirm or ask God to bless a new romantic relationship that would require setting aside a marriage covenant that God still regards as binding. To pray that a man would simply release his former marriage in order to find happiness in a new love is to ask God to undo what He has joined together. If he is still married, God calls him to honor that covenant, to seek reconciliation where possible, or if a divorce has already occurred, to examine before the Lord with wise pastoral counsel whether that divorce was on biblical grounds and what faithfulness now requires. In either case the path is not to quickly let go of the past for the sake of a new attachment, but to bring the past honestly before Christ for repentance, healing and obedience.

The same is true for the practical steps you mention. The desire for commitment, for a proposal, for a united home where your sons are loved, is understandable. Yet the way we pursue those good things matters. Moving to live together before marriage, or pressing for a proposal and for immigration steps while the question of his former marriage remains unresolved, would not honor God even if it seems to secure the future. God does make all things beautiful in His time, but that beauty comes as we walk in His ways, not by asking Him to clear obstacles for a path He has not approved.

The Scriptures also liken our desires to a cloud over the eyes, and speak of God as a physician who sometimes must wound in order to heal. My prayer for you therefore is not that God would simply grant every request as you have phrased it, but that He would give healing treatment where it is most needed.

So let me pray with you in a way that seeks first His will. Father, bring both of these lives fully to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and new life. Grant clarity where there is confusion, and give the courage to obey what You reveal. If there is a marriage covenant that still stands before You, teach faithfulness to it. If there has been sin and brokenness, bring true repentance and the peace that comes from being made right with You. Guard both of you in purity, keep you from using one another or from making decisions driven by loneliness or fear, and protect your sons. Give wisdom to your pastors and to all who counsel you, and order your steps so that whatever future You have for each of you will be built on holiness, truth and a love that reflects Christ's love for His church. Above all, let Your will be done, even when it differs from our own plans, for Your will is always good.

I encourage you to bring this entire situation into the light with a faithful local church, to seek face to face pastoral counsel, to remain in the Word and in prayer, and to allow time for God to work deeply in both hearts before any decisions about engagement, living together or moving to another country are made. God is patient, and He often uses waiting and honest self examination to restore sight and to prepare us for what truly honors Him.

May the Lord grant you grace to trust Him with your future, to love what He loves, and to find your deepest security not in a relationship being fulfilled on your terms, but in Christ Himself.
