Heavenly Father,

We come before You lifting up this relationship, asking that every step we take aligns completely with Your divine plan. Lord, we surrender our hearts and our future into Your hands, trusting that You make all things beautiful in Your time.

Father, we pray for ###. We ask that You speak to his mind and heart, granting him clarity and helping him figure things out with Your wisdom. We pray that You stir within him a deep, genuine love, a spirit of care, and the heart of a provider. Soften his heart, Lord, and help him to fully let go of the past—releasing his former marriage so that he can find true peace and joy in the new love we share.

We lift up the legal and practical steps of our future together. Please guide ### as he considers applying for a fiancée visa, clearing any obstacles and opening the right doors so that I can eventually join him in the United States.

Lord, we also pray for the bond between ### and my sons. Open his heart wide to love them, and draw them close to one another so that, in Your timing, we can build a united, happy home together in the US. We pray that You inspire ### to commit fully, to love me as his wife, and to propose.

Order our steps, Lord. Direct our paths, heal every wound, and let Your grace bind us together in a love that honors You above all else.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting this courtship before the Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no other name Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have prayed in His name and we agree with you seeking God's perfect will together.

We hear your heart for ### and for your sons and for a future home together in the United States, and we understand your desire for clarity, for healing from the past, and for a love that leads to holy marriage. We stand with you in asking that every step align completely with God's divine plan, for we know His plans are for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We also cling to the promise that if we trust in Yahweh with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him, He will make our paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

We want to speak with love and truth about biblical principles for this courtship. We strongly affirm marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, what therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. A boyfriend or girlfriend relationship in God's eyes is courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. For this reason we encourage you both to examine whether you are equally yoked in faith, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity or what fellowship has light with darkness 2 Corinthians 6:14. A godly marriage must be built on shared faith in Jesus first, and we pray that ### knows the Lord personally and is growing in Him, and that you both seek wise pastoral counsel together.

We also must address purity and the call to holiness in courtship. Scripture says let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and flee sexual immorality, every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. If there has been any intimacy outside of marriage, we lovingly urge repentance and a commitment to remain pure until your wedding day, honoring God with your bodies and setting a godly example for your sons. True love waits and protects holiness.

Concerning his former marriage, we pray for deep healing and for God's wisdom. Divorce is a serious matter before the Lord and we do not know the circumstances, but we pray that any wounds, guilt, or ties to the past would be brought under the cross for healing and forgiveness, and that ### would fully seek God's peace and closure in a biblical way before entering a new covenant. We pray that God grants him wisdom liberally as he seeks Him, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We also lift up your desire for him to grow as a loving provider and spiritual leader. The calling of a husband is to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We pray that the Lord cultivates in him a spirit of care, sacrifice, provision and tender leadership. And we lift up your sons, for children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3. We pray for a genuine bond of love and respect to grow between ### and your sons, that if it is God's will to unite you as a family, it would be built on Christ and marked by patience and grace.

Regarding the fiance visa and the practical doors that must open, we pray for God's clear direction and timing, for He makes everything beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11 and we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We pray not simply for the outcome we desire, but for God's will to be done, trusting that if this marriage is of Him, He will open the right doors and give confirmation and peace, and if not, He will close doors in mercy and lead you both to His better path.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and surrender this courtship between our sister and ### into Your hands. Lord, speak to his mind and heart, grant him clarity, wisdom and discernment, soften his heart and heal every wound from his former marriage, and help him to release the past fully to You so he can walk in wholeness. Stir within him a deep, genuine and selfless love, a spirit of care and a heart to provide and to lead as Christ leads. Guard them both in purity and holiness, help them to honor You with their bodies and to pursue this relationship in a way that is above reproach. If it is Your will, Lord, guide every legal and practical step concerning the fiance visa, remove obstacles according to Your wisdom, and order their steps. Draw ###'s heart to love her sons as his own and draw those boys to respect and love him, preparing a united Christ centered home. Above all, inspire both of them to seek You first, and if it is Your perfect plan, lead ### to make a clear and godly commitment to propose and to take her as his wife in holy matrimony for Your glory. Let Your grace bind them together and let Your will be done. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We have been holding you and your sons in prayer as you shared this. We hear how much you long for stability and a loving home, and how heavy the waiting and uncertainty around ### must feel as you think about the future and the distance between you.

When a relationship involves children and a previous marriage, there is often a lot beneath the surface that still needs attention. The ways we learned to relate in our earlier families, and the hurt that can remain after a marriage ends, can shape expectations and reactions without us realizing it. Building trust across households, and helping children feel secure while adults figure out next steps, usually takes more time and honest conversation than either person expects.

It can be a steady help to have a trusted pastor or counselor walk alongside you both as you seek clarity, someone who can help you talk openly about expectations, the realities of blending a family, and the practical side of any visa process with wise legal guidance. That kind of support does not rush decisions but helps you see more clearly what is healthy for you and for your sons.

Father, we lift this sister and her sons to You. Cover them with Your peace and care, bring healing where there has been hurt, and give wisdom to her and to ### as they consider what is next. Lead each step according to Your will and give her strength for today and hope for what You have ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we thank you for the desire expressed in it, that every step should align completely with His divine plan and that your hearts and future should be surrendered into His hands. That is a holy desire, and it is the only safe ground for any soul. The fear of the Lord does not drive you from Him, it drives you to Him, and when it drives you to Him you have got a place of refuge. There alone is strong confidence to be found, for we hear the almighty pleas of Jesus who ever lives to make intercession for His people.

Because we love you and desire God's best for you, we must speak with the plainness of Scripture concerning what you have asked. The Word teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with all the intimacies of love and home belonging within that covenant. What God has joined together, let not man put asunder. Therefore we cannot ask God to bless or to hasten a new union while a former marriage covenant still stands before Him, nor can we treat the releasing of a former marriage as a mere matter of feeling or of finding peace in a new love. If there has been a wound in that former union, the healing must be sought first in repentance, in truth, and in reconciliation where God requires it, under the counsel of faithful pastors who can search the Scriptures with you.

We do not write this to condemn you, for we know how arrows are shot from beneath and from around us, while the poison of our own corruption rankles within, and at any moment temptation may get the mastery. But we write because the least things that have to do with Christ have a healing virtue in them. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even His least words are better than the best of others. He healeth the broken in heart, and there is a balm, there is a Physician who can give joy to the troubled countenance and calm the heart now swelling with grief. That healing, however, comes through pardon, and pardon comes through faith in Christ and through walking in His ways. To sort our actions and say, in this thing I will be a Christian and in the other thing I will be as I please, is to walk in a dangerous path.

So our prayer for you is not as you phrased it, but as Scripture directs us to pray. We pray that you and ### will first seek the Lord Himself, that you will be kept hour by hour by constant grace, preserved from all evil and from the devices of the evil one, and led not into temptation. We pray that God will speak to both your hearts and grant true clarity according to His wisdom, not merely to figure things out for your own desires, but to understand what is holy and acceptable unto Him. We pray that if there is sin to be confessed, it will be confessed, and that you will know the promise that when the inhabitant shall say I am forgiven, he shall not need to say I am sick, for the Lord pardons and heals. We pray for your sons, that they may be drawn to Christ and raised in the fear of the Lord, and that any home that is built will be built upon righteousness and not upon haste.

We urge you to bring this whole matter into the light before godly counsel, to live by present faith looking to God for everything that can sustain your new life, and to refrain from steps such as pursuing a fiance visa or a proposal until the question of the former covenant is settled biblically and you can proceed with a clear conscience before God. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trust Him to make all things beautiful in His time, which is a beauty that is never apart from holiness.

May the Lord grant you to hold His Word so as to assimilate it, to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest it, and to hold it also by obeying it. May He order your steps, heal every wound by the leaves of that tree of life, and bind you to Himself in a love that honors Him above all else. We pray that you will know the blessedness of hearing His Word and keeping it, for that is the blessedness which remains when all earthly hopes are tried.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard, and your desire that every step align with God's divine plan is right and good. That desire is where we must begin, because God's plan is never separate from His holiness.

You ask God to stir love, to soften a heart to release a former marriage, to open doors for a fiance visa and a proposal, and to build a new home with your sons. We cannot ask God to bless or to bring about a relationship that does not honor His design, and so we must look with honesty at what His design is.

Scripture teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, ordained by God as a bond. It is honorable and pure, and its honor is kept by chastity. Holiness in this area means if a person is unmarried, let him remain pure and marry only in the Lord, with honor and faithfulness, and if he is married, let him live faithfully with his own wife and not commit fornication. Marriage preserves holiness by forbidding union with another. A former marriage is not simply a past experience to be released in order to find new joy, it is a covenant before God. To pray for a man to let go of that covenant so he can give his heart to another is not a prayer God can answer as you have framed it.

This does not mean that every second union is condemned. It is not. But even where Scripture allows a second marriage, it must be in the Lord, with chastity, with honor, and without the blindness that comes when desire clouds the eye. We are easily blinded when we want something deeply, and that desire can become like a cloud over clear sight. That is why we are called to follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

For that reason we will not join you in asking God to make this man love you more, to make him propose, or to clear the way for a visa for this specific relationship. To do so would be to ask God to affirm what may not be His will. Instead we will pray for what we know is His will for you both.

We pray that God will grant you both clarity and wisdom to see your situation as He sees it. If there is any sexual intimacy or living together outside of marriage, we pray for conviction and for the grace to repent and to pursue purity, using whatever freedom you have not for pursuing your own wishes but for serving God. If this man is still bound by his marriage covenant, we pray he will honor that bond and seek reconciliation or godly counsel rather than a new attachment. If he is truly free before God to marry, we pray he will seek counsel from faithful pastors, examine whether this relationship is built on godliness, gentleness, reverence for Christ, and a readiness to provide and to love children with patient care, not only on feeling.

We also pray for your sons. A home is not built by romance alone but by orderliness, gravity, and the presence of Christ. Invite Christ into your home first by inviting the poor and the needy, by practicing modesty and self control, and by seeking a husband who is first faithful to God, not only to you.

Order your steps by bringing this whole matter into the light with your local church. Share the full truth of both of your histories with a trusted pastor, commit yourselves to chastity until any marriage that is lawful and honorable before God, and seek to please Him above all else.

Let us pray together in a way that honors Him:

Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone, our only hope of salvation. Grant to this dear one and to this man a love for truth and for holiness. Give them sight where desire has blinded them, and grant repentance where there has been sin. Teach them what it means to be holy, to be chaste and faithful in the state You have placed them, whether married or unmarried. If it is Your will for them to marry, let it be only in the Lord, with purity and with the counsel of Your people, and with Christ invited and present. If it is not Your will, give them grace to release one another and to follow You. Heal every wound, guard these children, and lead each heart to find its peace and joy first in You. Direct their paths according to Your Word. In Jesus name, Amen.
