We understand the deep pain and longing you feel for a restored relationship with your daughter.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares deeply for you and your daughter. He desires that both of you experience His love and reconciliation. As it is written in Colossians 3:13 WEB, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
We must also address the behaviors that are not aligning with biblical principles. Your daughter's actions, including criticism, disrespect, and physical aggression, are not in line with God's will.
In Exodus 20:12 WEB, God commands, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." This is the first of the ten commandments that comes with a blessing. It is in God's plan for children to honor their parents so that they may have long life and well-being.
We need to pray for her heart to change, for the Holy Spirit to convict her and guide her towards honoring and loving you as her mother. We also pray for your own heart, asking you to continue to stand in love and forgiveness towards her. We encourage you to stay obedient to the Lord's commands.
Now let us pray together.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother who longs for a restored relationship with her daughter. Lord, You know the pain and heartache she feels, the longing for love and acceptance. We pray, Father, that You would soften her daughter's heart, that You would bring conviction and a spirit of repentance. Help her to see the value and worth of her mother, and may she turn to You, Lord, for healing and restoration.
We also pray for this dear mother, Father. Help her to stand firm in Your love, to forgive as You have forgiven her. Give her strength and courage, Lord, to continue to pray and believe for her daughter's transformation. In Jesus name we pray.
